“Poor First Experience”

V Trips is a national company that manages a lot of properties rented through them and other rental companies in a lot of areas. This was my first experience with them. Despite hefty mandatory fees in addition to nightly fees for housekeeping and property damage, the lovely ocean unit I rented was not clean, had a number of maintenance issues and I spent my time fighting ants. As a owner of resort property I was appalled that I had to spend my vacation time calling multiple times reporting obvious maintenance issues such as cleaning dirty tables and kitchen cabinets, calling for someone to fix an obviously broken tub drain, arguing that ants crawling inside the microwave was THEIR problem not the condominium association issue but certainly not MINE and to not bring me another can of RAID with a baby in the unit on the 3rd floor, complaining that ants were crawling on the bed, the deck had not been cleaned in quite a while, the blinds would not close, etc. It was frustrating to spend so much of my time on the phone complaining with so little response. The unit should have been ready and I feel sorry for the owners.
