Vulcan Tire

I ordered tire chains from Vulcan Tire, but wasn't sure they would arrive on time, so I bought some chains locally. I was approved to return the chains. READ THE SMALL PRINT. I had free shipping but if you return an item you pay their cost to ship which was $16.00. I also paid $35.00 to ship them back. Then if you're a day late they charge an extra $15.00 late fee. So I ended up paying $66.00 for absolutely nothing. Expensive lesson learned, worst online purchase experience I've ever had.

I'd been looking everywhere for a particular set of tires, and Vulcan Tire was the only retailer that had them in stock (or so they claimed). Despite poor reviews, and against my better judgment, I decided to place an order anyway, figuring the reviews couldn't possibly be representative.

A day later I received an email saying my order couldn't be processed because my billing information wasn't correct. This was the first red flag, since I've never had this issue with any other merchant. Per the instructions I replied to the email and went about my business. A week later the order tracker showed no change in status. After some digging on Vulcan's website I was able to locate a customer service number and gave them a call. The service rep, who in fairness was courteous and helpful, finally processed the order for me. Great.

Another week passed with no updates. At this point I was starting to get frustrated, and called again to get a status update. The rep told me they'd been experienced weather-related delays, that the tires were en route, and that I should receive them the following week. Great.

The tires, of course, never arrived. At this point I was livid, so I gave them another call to get an update. The rep fed me the same story. She wasn't able to explain why the previous rep had told me the tires had shipped when there was no indication they had. She wasn't even able to get an update from one of their warehouses, claiming that contacting them would require some time (huh?). I ended up cancelling the order, and thankfully the refund was issued pretty quickly.

I don't think they ever had the tires in stock. They probably drop ship them, and figure they can string their customers along with stories about imaginary weather- or COVID-related delays. More charitably, their logistics is a mess. Don't order from Vulcan Tire.

I still have my old ford wagon that I like to keep in good shape. Part of that includes making sure I have authentic classic tires. This site has the tires that I need to make sure my wagon looks its best at the shows.

I own a lot of tires and I like to switch between tire sets for each season. I couldn't find a good way to store my tires until I came across this site. Their tire storage products are affordable and durable!

I live on my own and wasn't sure how to make sure I was getting the correct tires for my car. When I ame across this site, they had an easy to use tire guide. Now I better understand how to make sure I get the tire my car needs.

I accidently order the wrong tires for my car. Vulcan tire caught my mistake, held my order and contacted me to verify what I needed. My tires still arrived in time for my road trip. Nice!
