Walmart has Customer Service in India, Philippines and other countries. They are scamming Americans out of our Money. I've just recently purchased a card and after getting home I realize that my card had been compromised and all my money was stolen. After countless calls to the customer service they are located in other countries mind you, they continuously hang up the phone and they never return your money. I was devastated I had to pay a important bill and they stole from my family. As I do my research, I come to find that this is infact a scam to Steal from Americans. Multiple victims are suffering such as myself, Walmart MUST be held accountable for this, it has to stop. Please join me in a Class Action lawsuit against Walmart and it's affiliates who hire scammers in other countries to steal our hard earned money. Walmart has Customer Service in India, Philippines and other countries. They are scamming Americans out of our Money. I had a debit card voided transaction, I called both places,my Walmart card said it would be back on my card by the 22 and nothing. I called back only to be transferred to another department asking for all this personal information, please go with a local bank seeing all these call centers are not in the United States, Walmart should be ashamed of themselves

The company made an error when issuing out my card by sending to the wrong address. I was asked to send in new verification and card would be mailed out that day so I could I receive it in 7 to 10 days. I called back to check and it has not been mailed out. I followed up today and learned it was just mailed on yesterday. I requested to speak with supervisor. The person hung up. So I called again, and got a different rep who stated a card would be expedited in 3 days. The call hung up while verifying my info. I called back. The next rep said they could not expedite a card, was extremely rude and gave me the run around. I thanked him for his time and hung up. Now, my funds are held up with no estimated date of when I will be able to receive them.

This is a circle of stupid. I closed my account which for some dumb reason they closed my son's account. He now has no access to his funds what he gets from work. He is a minor child with a job. Not only is the website and app always broken, but they are holding his funds hostage for 3 weeks. Per Walmart Money Card's fault they closed his account. Now they want to make him submit documents to "verify" his account in order for him to get his money (that they are holding) in a check for. He has to wait 3 weeks after all that stupid riff raff is submitted. The agents are not good English speakers and their language barriers and accents make simple communication very difficult. None of these documents were needed to create the card/account. Now he has to get a real bank account and still wait on his actual money that was on the card. This is a circle of stupid! Walmart you seriously need to do better. I am pretty sure Sam Walton would be disappointed at what ridiculousness the company has turned into. Should have just stuck with stores and gas. Really holding someone's money after closing the wrong account is beyond bonkers.

Tip for consumers:
Hire folks who are more understandable and better English speakers. The language barrier is another horrible part of their customer service, and so is the excessive apologizing.

I will never buy another Walmart money card or a green dot,,i never made it out the door of Walmart ànd got my money stolen off my card and I call their sucky customer service and they kept wanting to hang up on me and tell me the same thing.they are the stupidest bunch I have ever dealt with and will never do it again.

This card is a money making scam, get charged for everything but purchases. You pay to add money, to remove money and you pay a month charge just for having this scam card.

This company took my money I have paperwork saying that the transaction was declined by them. They have lied about paying it back within a certain time frame and extended that time frame to Christmas Day. It's the worst case scenario. I told them I am literally freezing and was up till midnight watching the clock and checking the account for my money to be credited like they said it would,, so I could go buy fuel for my heater. When it never posted they said they noted the account and I should hear something in two or more business days. The decision to give me my money back was made several days ago but they can't get it together to send my little $37.62 knowing I am without heat until they give me the last money from my checking account. I strongly advise you put your money elsewhere because when you need it the absolute most, they will not even do as they say even if it means adhering to there own time limits.

I think you should be able to use the over draft more than ten transaction's each month it should be unlimited as long as it's paid up what happens if you need to use it more than ten transaction's. It is helpful but not when it's on pause.

I had 3 fraud transactions in January for charge done at a Sam's club for$381 and change called immediately and was told I had to wait until they posted to file a dispute. I waited and filed the dispute was given provisional credit and then had to call 3 times for my replacement card. I could not have done the charges in NC due to I live in AZ. On April 16 they took back the provincial credit and stated they found not fraud. I felt violated and attacked for the truth. If I was a person who file disputes consistently or frequently I would understand but this was the first time I filed a dispute and when I spoke with a representative she basically told me I lied to get my way. I will be filing charges with the regulatory authorities about this bank and hope to shut it down. Walmart should review the customer complaints and reconsider banking with go bank

I've been using this card for a few years. Lately it's gone down hill. I go to check my balance and it says not at this time try back later. Not happy with this card anymore..

My dad mistakenly purchased these as gift cards. They want your SSN to activate the account (red flag much?) and send out your new cards. Upon activation you will immediately be charged with a maintenance fee that you are not warned about, and bothered with requests to direct deposit your paychecks into this new card. If you didn't know of the immediate fees, and, like me, emptied the card onto something like Amazon or Steam Games, congratulations, your card is now overdrawn! Customer service is hit and miss; they might pick up the phone, but you are often told the wait time is less than 1 minute, and no one picks up the phone. When you do get an answer you are likely to be confronted with someone with a very thick Indian accent that does not speak English well (red flag again?)... After arguing with them that it is ridiculous that you are charged a maintenance fee right after activating a card and trying to close the account soon after, your account is still not showing closed! Let's get back on the line with someone from overseas asking for our SSN again, because it totaly doesn't make anyone feel uncomfortable EVER!

Bottom line, not a gift card. Might be ok for a parent funding a student, or teaching responsibility to a teen, but that is if you trust it enough (I don't). There are many other options including actual bank accounts with trusted local banks, and phone apps that allow money transfers without charges. Weigh your options.

(Please don't ever give out your full SSN over the phone to anyone! If you don't feel comfortable hang up and call the company directly or use a different number!)

Tip for consumers:
The card has imidiate maintenance fees and overseas help desk. Asks for SSN to activate.

I was extremely satisfied with the Walmart money card until this last experience. Someone changed my email and phone number on my account and cleared it out. When I called to dispute the charges they wouldn't talk to me because my phone number didn't match even though everything else matched. It started when I received a call from them checking on charges in Miami when I live in South Carolina. I think it may be one of their employees because it was hacked while I was one the phone with them. Shame because up until this issue, it was everything I was looking for.

I was scammed into buying 10 cards four months ago and putting $500 on each card. I never gave the scammers the card numbers and instead have been trying to get refunded since but every time I call I can tell it's a foreign country and they always hang up on me or get disconnected but NEVER call back. The times I have been disconnected is probably over 20! I used down one card and was refunded $1000 total. I am still waiting for the $3500 and at this point they're telling me the money has already been spent or refunded and both are incorrect.
If I do not get the remaining money soon, I will have to bring my lawyer into this because this is absolutely the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life! For some reason it seems like a scam because they are not giving me the remainder of the $3500. Beware!

I have over $10,500 on this card and can't access it or get it refunded to me. I have been a victim of identity theft! I have called and called and all I get is put on hold for hours. They closed my account, but are still taking out the monthly fee. Very unethical! I can't get any help, and don't know what else to do. I need my money back! Does anyone know how to handle this problem? They make you rate this company, but it should be minus star rating!

I have used my Walmart Debit card for at least 10 years. I had minimal problems until about 2 Years ago. There is NO security offered to protect your [CASH] They will hand your money out to businesses who are [Claiming] to ship, but don't. Customer service is a Joke. You can Hardly understand the representatives because of the Language Barrier. NO HELP, and I had to argue with and threaten the Merchant to refund my money. Most recently, some small charges were placed on my card which I did not authorize.They were I Phone related charges for Utility apps. I do NOT own an I Phone and never will. After disputing the charges, the Clown Show security investigators say that [I] authorized the Charges and will subtract them from my balance. A 10 year purchase history shows NO transactions for ANY Phone related apps. I use a Flip Phone for calls and a Home PC for ALL transactions. USERS BEWARE! If you have the [Guts] to use the card, then make sure your balance is kept below $20.00 at all times except for a quick load for a Right Now purchase. The above listed Scam caused me to cancel the Card and ask for Re-issue. It took more then 5 phone calls to clueless receptionists and close to 1 month for a Replacement Card. I have read most of the other listed negative reviews. THEY ARE CORRECT! Good Luck with the Walmart Cash Debit Cards.

Be careful using this place I bought my daughter one for her birthday and put 75 dollars on it she tried using it at king soopers it was declined and king soopers even called corporate for me and the money was never taken out from the store but green dot still took the money and when I called them every single person I talked to was rude even the supervisor and they are refusing to put the money back on even the manager of the store tried explaining to them the money was not taken out at the store and the guy on the phone wouldn't even listen to him kept cutting him off and then had the nerve to tell me to look at my account on the phone and tells me "CANT YOU SEE WITH YOUR EYES THE MONEY WAS USED AT KING SOOPERS" like what who are u and what kind of company is this well they are thefts and now the card is saying I'm in the negative of 11 dollars cause they are adding 5 dollars a month well u can keep adding that on there cause you won't be getting any money from me your company owes me 75 take it out of that

Been using walmart cards for over 10 years since they have moved there service overseas I have had money missing and charges on my card from Asia India etc put money in there savings volt and they took $360.00 then blocked the account where my direct deposit is being returned never use there cards

I've been a card holder for some years now with direct deposits totaling over six thousand monthly but today when I checked in around the mobile banking feature I had not known about. The response was "we're sorry, but your account does not show sufficient history for us to process your deposit. Please continue to use you account and try again in 30 days." Now I been with Walmart money card for over two-years with regular direct deposits and they do not consider that as history. In freaking credible! I've had it with Walmart Money Card! They know God dammed well I have sufficient history with them. Their aim is to deliver piss poor service. Why they let you languish on customer service lines for hours on end. $#*! you Walmart Money Card.

Disappointed in the Customer Service. Making us wait on the line for hours, being transferred to nothingness when we call, agent not knowing or understanding the questions they are being asked. Just ridiculous! The one feature they say they offer on the card, they make sure is unavailable for use (mobile Banking) and you are absolutely lying that I haven't had sufficient history with you. You full of $#*! Walmart and Walmart money card. You never intended for us to use mobile banking feature.

I had a issue with my card and i called and got hung up on 4 times on purpose, i will no longer use they services. I had them for years and it gets worse and worse. No one speaks good English and they nver even try to help me i have to figure it out. I would not recommend theses services to anyone

I requested a new card as mine was close to expiring on 11.13.23 and have not received my replacement card as of 12.16.23 and no one can. Tell me why. I'm reporting them to the BBB & going to get a attorney. I want my money that's on my card.

I had a pending deposit from my job almost a month ago. Still haven't gotten it and it doesn't even show anymore. I did take a screen shot. Anyways I have called and called. I get no help. I ask them about my deposit at first you will get it in 5 to 7 days. Now they don't see it and it's somehow my jobs fault. Mind you I have been paid 2 more times and haven't gotten them either. I am trying to figure this out. That's a lot of money they are just taking. Do not use this for anything. They suck and don't want to help.

I had someone steal money from my card. I called and can't even speak with anyone in their dispute department because "they're too busy" I have been waiting for someone to call me back from that department for 3 days. Spoke with someone on Wednesday and she transferred me to dispute, was on hold for over an hour and no one picked up. Also, found out in order to dispute the money has to actually be paid, it can't be pending and then you as the consumer have to write a letter to Green Dot to get your money back. Bunch of BS! You can barely understand the customer reps and they're rude. Once I get my money back, they will not have to ever worry about me as a customer again and I will discourage as many ppl as I can not to deal with this company
