Get bans for doing nothing apparently they have an AI flagging $#*! and its all wrong they let people make false reports never explain anything to you and of course never say WHY. Any response back from them is incredibly rude and they never answer you in any way. Theyre just trash. And the game is getting lame, a candy world? Yeah thats what killed one piece. I can only hope it does the same here.

Pretty sure some day they gonna get a class action lawsuit against them some days for falsely advertising their games and actually forcing kids to gamble or macro buy a bundle. All I can say is don't come back to this game because of how it use to be, it all money now, all bs we hated and saw coming in with spellments. Even after you cancel properly, they will find a loop hole to take your membership money again. They wont address a *glitch* that makes them more money.

Tip for consumers:
Go for games that don't start off with lie.

So the game is fun great to play with kids but the problem is my level 71 got an error locked bot playable. Contacted support 48 hrs later responded need more information then responded 48 hrs later they said to delete file reboot and let them know. Did not work responded and here another 48 hrs and no response. So if you plan on playing if you have any problem expect to wait a month to get it fixed.

Tip for consumers:
Dont have a problem and contact support as it sucks.

The games was much better when it first came out with people working together and A LOT less expensive to play. Now the boss battles are incredibly variable to cost you more money (henchmen or better equipment), drop rates are horrible, customer service is combative and unreasonable and they have constant programming issues which result in loss of items (and customer service gives YOU a hard time). It's a game, it should at least be enjoyable. They need to look at what they did when the game was NEW... the philosophy now is horrible.

Wasted over $2000 on this game, it is a gambling menace masquerading as a "kids game".
Updates have ruined the game, only the whales left.
DO NOT COME BACK FOR "NOSTALGA' its long gone.

Don't use it.

I was addicted to the game. Despite being a player from overseas, I would try to purchase their memberships. The thing is, I have no access to a credit card and my Paypal is not linked to a credit card as well. Since I wanted to enjoy their game, I asked help from some acquaintances of mine to help me make the payments for me in return for cash. There was no issue for 12 years until one day my acquaintance's bank was acting up and pulled the charges made on their card. Kingisle sent me an email saying my accounts were banned. And after they noticed my payment history, they perma-banned them because they didn't come from the same source. My acquaintance managed to solve the issue with their bank, but despite getting the money back in their wallet, Kingsisle would not do anything else and used their no acc sharing policy excuse. Yes even after I told them it was to help me purchase their thing and play their game for 12 years.

They cared NONE. AT ALL.

I'm sure it's fine for some people, but for folks like me, it's very AGGRAVATING to play. In fact, I get f****** ANGRY at times! But, it's not bad at first, the first couple of worlds. But when the bosses who cheat come along, and you HAVE to go with a group or you'll die -- even if you spend hundreds of tokens on Henchmen, that's RIDICULOUS! SOME people like the cheating bosses because they are harder/more challenging. Not me. I often can't GET a group to go with, for DAYS. I'd rather just go solo. But nope, can't do it with some bosses, the ones who cheat a LOT. IMPOSSIBLE to do solo, EVEN when spending up to 500 crowns for a Henchmen. AT THE VERY LEAST THEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ATTACK OUR HENCHMEN, so they can keep us alive! All KI wants is our money (we have to spend money if you want crowns, packs, whatever), and when you do, there are ZERO promises they will actually help you!

I played wizard 101 as a babysitter to an 8 year old boy when the game was new. The game (and it's players) have changed drastically. Many on there are now the young kids who played when the game started and are typically in college or college age. Most are not friendly, helpful or nice. Also there is an extremely large amount of profanity used in the game. There is a whole system to misspelling words to get around the filter system for cursing and it is used a LOT. Under different ownership, the game has massive game glitch problems making the game both frustrating as it malfunctions as well a waste of time. Customer support for Kings Isle is horrible and often rude, if they even answer you at all. Find a good game with a good company backing it. They also have a "no refund" policy which is why they act aloof. Once they have your money, they treat customers horrible. Prepaying for membership is like asking for a beating.

Tip for consumers:
Never buy a year membership ahead. Once they have you tied to a non-refundable membership they are awful to you and never respond. This is THE WORST game company I have ever dealt with in my life.

I had been playing this game from the day it came out up until midway through this year. While it was fun at first it quickly became apparent over the yeas that the company itself didn't care at all about it's players or their opinions unless these players were the big spenders. They rarely listened to ideas and only cared about getting as much money out of you as they possibly can. Don't spend a lot of money, your opinions don't matter. Updates to actual storyline were not often. Updates to dungeons that cost money, packs that rarely dropped good items, and other such items were a lot more common. Often with high, very high, price tags. Recently they'd been throwing out a lot of events that if you do the math would cost nearly 300 USD to complete. Mind you this is game mainly pointed at kids between the ages of 11-17 so that's quite a price tag on a one week event. What really sealed this game for me and why I left though was this years summer update where they very clearly didn't listen to any outcry of the players. Destroyed any and all hard work of the players, some of which have been playing for over a decade, and made the long grinding efforts practically useless. Spells that were critical to those schools of choice were destroyed and rendered useless, gear (crafted, bought, dropped) was rendered pointless, and Kingsisle didn't even care when people were crying out and saying stop. Nobody asked for this update, very few liked it, and I am one of the many long term players that hung up their wand and said enough. I am done being ignored by a company that clearly doesn't care for it's player base, throws bans around like candy, and only cares about money. While money is important, your player base's opinions should be just as important if not more.

Firstly - fraudulently takes more money from your account than authorized. Usually days after - 80c here 1.20 there. They hope nobody notices. Nice little racket, as there is no accountability in business. Certainly do not make the purchaser aware in advance. Using the banking system to their advantage, playing the numbers game in the hope the majority of customers won't notice or care. If legit in any way - declare it.

Secondly - KingsIsle will actively watch in-game chats in real time with the intent of banning accounts to the point of uselessness. (10 Year mute for example). This benefits the business by not having to ever upgrade servers, just reduce the member-base AFTER they've paid.
Filtering and chat gestapo is outdated in this day and age. Kids have access to so many other platforms to chat through. The dystopian type filtering on this site only pushes its young users to other (more risky) platforms with which to communicate.

Overall the game is outdated by today's standard. Graphics most definitely - pretty; but lacking for the subscription price. And it is only that, a subscription - other items are only obtainable through further expense as you cannot achieve them in-game - even if a full paying member.
Micro payments are anything but Micro. I buy entire games for my games console for the same money.

This game is full of paywalls, make their advertisements look so amazing, but really the game is absolute garbage. You spend loads and loads of money on membership and crowns only to get something for a limited amount of time. The worlds take way too long to complete, the customer service is absolute trash, and they ban people for no apparent reason. The game shouldn't cost money as it's nothing compared to the commercials. I remember playing as a child back in 2012 when the game was brand new, running around and getting hit by these annoying a** paywalls. They have this annoying chat filter preventing people from saying more "Gen Z" terms and use abbreviations such as "ur" or other shortening terms. They take the chat system way too seriously and it overall ruins the game for others. Each year or so they just repeat adding more and more sh*tty worlds and it just gets super repetatvie. The packs, mounts, pets, etc, are complete scams, and not worth your money.

The drop rates are ridiculously low and not good at all. The game is full of pay to win players and it is geared toward them. If you do not spend real money, the game works against you. They reduced to lives of the bosses but increased the cheats so much you don't stand a chance unless you spend money to buy henchmen. It used to be my fav way to spend my free time, but it is so frustrating now i cant stand it.

Game charges for membershipe when the player base is less then 100. I played it for about a week and got to know everyone in the game is full of npc players and moderators. They charg for membershipe and have a bunch on play to win items in there store. Is hard to get the play to win items do to the fact u have to get the packs they sell making it a 75 percent chance of u gettig the rare items maybe a higher rate. You spend a bunch of money trying to get the items and gear u want. When they player base is really low. I started playing when the max lvl was 50 they play base was high you were able to do 4v4 player vs player now the max lvl is 150 and the game started to die at lvl 90. Theres only 1v1s in ranked cuz the player base is so low. Npcs and moderators run the game making it seem like they have a player base play to win game gotaa pay for membership on a dying game is sad to say not worth it when the player base is lesss then 500 players maybe less then 100

Okay, this message might sound a bit harsh, so be prepared; I used to play this game when I was younger, thus making me very unaware of money and how it can be wasted on things I don't need. I got this game in 2013, and played it non-stop for about 4-5 years. I loved it when I was younger, I apparently liked the absolute garbage graphics, the experience of having to pay hundreds of dollars to be able to play, the inability to talk to other players unless you lied about being 18 and up, and having people make fun of me for not having things I had to pay for. This game made me spend over half a grand to feel good about myself, and literally is only a money-making game that won't give you any gameplay unless you empty your wallets. I know, I know, some people might be thinking, "Why didn't you just take the vanilla experience, and not buy anything?", well, I WANTED to not spend any money on it, even as a child, but if I were to continue to the second world, which can be unlocked after about and hour or so of gameplay, I would have to either buy a membership for ONE month for $10.00, or buy it with ingame currency that I have to buy as well. Any money I got, I would spend on the game, which I know is my own fault. I will give the game credit for being addictive, it was INCREDIBLY addictive, but only so if you can play the full game. I look back in shame for how much money and time I put into this piece of garbage, because unless you are swimming in cash or want to spend every penny you have on it, don't waste your time. This game has a great concept and story, but it's just not worth it.

Wizard101 is and was a popular game that I liked when I was younger, but now it is pointless because I played a lot MMORPG games and they don't beg you for money to progress any further into the game. Wizard101 has not improved on its market leniency on crowns neither any easier and less agenizing ways to earn crowns without being questioned by a bunch of fact that don't benefit a lot of people who is not from the US. I understand that you have to make money but people are not gonna spend that much forever on a game that don't benefit their life at the end... My suggestion is to work around your profit scheme on in game items, premium purchases and skins.

I'm an adult who has played this game off and on since 2009. I've paid for items, zones, etc. I took a break and came back to find that my account had been tampered with so I alerted KI thinking surely they would help. They did nothing of the sort. They said they couldn't do anything and kept dodging my question of, "Has my account been accessed anywhere outside my state?" They just don't know and don't care. This is shameful. They take your credit card and then have 0 security measures in place. They brushed me off and told me to start over. Instead, I logged into my account and deleted my credit card information. Working with a company like this is how you get your identity stolen, not smart.

I had been playing wizard101 for years but the company is becoming money hungry people. Never ever trust them with your credit cards. They will start automatic renewals on your accounts and start charging doubles unauthorized charges to peoples credit cards.
They will banned your accounts and ask you to pay all them charges they did to your credit card. They hired illegal mexicans to the company and pay low rate so they hack and mess peoples credit cards for a living. One of these days this Kingsisle Company will be shut down for robbing people. God dont like ugly people! Got it?

I love wizard101 (I'm 21 now and have been playing it ever since i was about 13, I've spent soo much $ on there in the past, i can't even count it.). The only thing is contacting customer service can be a bit of a pain. Last year or so I was banned for a couple of years do to a pay-by-mobile issue i was using when i would order crowns though my phone. At first I had to pay like $30 back to the company... but as the months went on the price went up for some reason. And kept going up and up and up until i was at $50 I had to pay back. Which at the time was a bit annoying. Finally I paid them back last year after a few years of being banned... I contacted customer service via email and kept getting an auto response saying since i have payed. I am unabnned. But when i would log in it would still tell me I was banned. So i replyed again and they said i would have to pay AGAIN... and we kept going back and fourth, they would always tell me the same thing "Your account is unlocked. You have to pay, your account is unlocked, you have to pay and so on so on. What i did not know was (until i asked about it in the w101 forums) is that you HAVE to keep replaying back to the same email, eventually the email will become top priority and an ACTUAL person will reply... Eventually my email did get though to a live person and they finally unbanned me, and for my troubles they gave me a week of free membership. Which was fine for me. I'm still loyal to wizard101. It will continue to be a great go to game. But i'm not sure if i will be spending anymore $ on it since the worlds are getting harder and harder, and no one in my friends list is ever on anymore. (Like it they use to be in 2009!)

When I was a kid I played this along with other games that were out at the time and I have to say, I can only remember having good times while playing it. It was so fun to collect cards and summon giant monsters to fight other people's monsters in an MMO format. You may be wondering why I gave it one star then and the only way I can answer it is by giving a lengthy recount of my recent experience with it. I stopped playing this game when I was 8 or 9, back when I switched over to games like FreeRealms and FusionFall (Rest in Peace), and I recently decided to try it again to relive some old memories (I'm 17 now). It didn't take long for the nostalgia to wash over me as I typed in my old username and password into the client. Once I booted up the game I was off to start questing. Here's where the problems start with this game. My account was a F2P account, which prevents you from entering the areas Firecat Alley and Cyclops Lane. Within these two places contains many more quests and ways to unlock more areas in the game, but when I was younger I was completely ok with this. Now that I'm a bit older I see how this sucks the fun out of the game once you reach level 10. Eventually you'll start getting quests that either require you to go to one of the previously mentioned areas or require you to go to places that can only be unlocked after you complete certain missions in the previously mentioned areas. When you start seeing these quests then that's when the pay wall starts to get clearer. Eventually the only quests that you are able to do are locked inside of these areas and you are left with barely anything to do. You can't level up unless you want to go out into the unlocked areas and grind for hours upon hours just to fill fill up a portion of the EXP bar. Since you can't level up you won't be able to get any fancy new cards to add to your deck and since you can't get any fancy new cards to add to your deck you can't play practice PVP (which is the only PVP you can play with a free account) because most people will be much higher than you equipment wise. The last game I ever played before I deleted this game was against a player who had twice the amount of health I did, had cards that allowed him to set up defense and attack shields while I did garbage damage to him. He just kept playing these shield cards until he finally summoned the Grim Reaper, which activated all of the defense and attack shields, and attacked me for OVER 5000 DAMAGE. I can't believe that a company can make their game have such an annoying and blatantly obvious paywall.

In conclusion, this game is only fun to play if you decide to shell out money in order to keep your premium membership alive. This rating will not be changed until free account users are given more access of the game, which will probably never happen.

Besides being highly overpriced (I paid up to 2 thousand dollars for playing a year) they do whatever they want and they don't care about the customers. Last thing they did was to change in live realm a highly demanding athame and make it completely useless. But that wasn't the real problem. The real problem was that they changed it after we paid with real money to open the sockets of these athames to affix jewels (that we paid with real money or farmed for hours to get). Their answer: "Sorry for the inconvenience but we can't give you the jewels back". I'm not playing this game anymore and I will fill a report in my country regarding this.
