Thought I should update you and viewers on what has transpired since I wrote the review. On the same day that it appeared on www.sitejabber.com, I sent a copy directly to the Founder and CEO of Wondershare in China, (whose official email I managed to secure off the net) and posted it on Wondershare's Facebook page. The combined effect was fruitful I am happy to report that within 12 hours, I received an email from someone in the senior echelons of Wondershare tendering profuse apologies for what had transpired. Thereafter, without any further prodding or correspondence, they've refunded the entire amount I had been persuaded to spend on this fruitless pursuit. Suffice it to say, the speed of their response and corrective action has done much to restore my trust in the Company, though it did need my making the whole unfortunate incident and soliciting intervention of their senior management in China, bypassing the somewhat ineffective Customer Service centres. My thanks to Sitejabber for providing a platform for aggrieved e-commerce customers like me to air their grievances and share their experiences with a larger commmunity. Bash on, regardless.

PDF was working fine when I first bought it. Now I can't open any files, and consumer services states it's a 10-minute wait to speak to someone. I was on hold for 46 minutes and could never get in touch with someone. I tried to use the chat also, but they could not help. They sent me an email asking the same questions. I now can't get a refund because it has been over 30 days, and the product doesn't work at all for me. Can't even open a PDF on it.

Tip for consumers:
They didn't try to figure my issue out; they just said they would cancel my renewal but could give a refund. Even though the product doesn't work, I'm stuck with not getting my money back.

I had a problem with their junk software immediately after purchase. As others state, they refuse all refunds, no matter the scenario. They make it very difficult to contact customer support. Their customer service model is to take your money and never hear from you again. On top of that, others suggest that they may be installing bloatware and/or spyware on top of their products.

Bottom line: junk product, non-existent customer service, and likely scam company that I would not trust with any of my information. AVOID!

No refunds ever possible (even if you have issues). Very bad experience and a total disappointment, especially after thinking I found a good software. But thanks to the technical support agent for trying to help me, but "company policy" did not allow us to resolve the issue. I don't recommend using their service, find something better.

My son and I signed up for their "free" trial and they charged my PayPal $80. I canceled it within 5 minutes once I saw that they charged me, filed a PayPal dispute, and tried speaking with Wondershare's customer service. They refused to refund their "free trial". THIS IS A SCAM and their customer service is appalling as they are slow to respond and are like talking to robots.

We didn't use their software at all. They scammed us out of $80 for a "free" trial.

Useless customer services, after an hour and a half the issue was not resolved an they refused to give me a new serial number. I have a lifetime app purchase.

Wondershare masquerades as any number of 100s of downloads sites. They have no useful products; they do have many viruses and trojans masquerading as utility software. Once they have your billing information, you will never be able to terminate the billing. Sadly, the massive revenues that they collect from this boilerroom operation are simply recycled into spam advertising for their bogus products.

This company should be shut down by the feds.

I lost $80 because they started my subscription again after a few months of cancellation. Also they denied refund request. They are tricksters and fraud service.
Also it worth to know that I cancelled using it because of a few perks and functions included in the paid version, for example Cap Cut or VN give you more stable operations in a free mode.
But the bad thing is they steal my money.

The chat would oblige you to wait for up to 8 hours before you start talking with them about money

Denied refunding me after I accidentally bought the wrong package which does not have a 7 day free trial (very misleading on the website), although the app did not even work for me! Very disappointing, this never happened to me before and the customer service did not show any understanding, just want the money.

And the cherry on top:
Their website processed the wrong payment and they DECLINED the refund requested 1 minute after due to the wrong amount was charged claiming they don't do refunds.

THINK if you need those problems.
There are many software options available that are alternative or even better and are not scamming

Trash bought their recoverit to recover some deleted files...it took days and still had 50% to go. I uninstalled wiped my pc and reinstalled my apps manually. Used one drive to get back what i could.

This was 4 days after purchase before the 7 day deadline...they refused to issue a refund unless i wiped my pc again reinstalled their software and got screenshots of it taking all day.

Im pretty sure its enough people here for class action lawsuit their policy isnt that airtight...trash as well

They sold a product that was no longer supported or maintained and then wanted me to buy another more expensive product in order to get a refund.

this company will include foreign purchase fees outside of US plus they sell unmaintained products and want you to buy more expensive products to get a refund. Stay away from Wondershare.

Wondershare worked adequately for 2 years for me during a time I was paying for a payed subscription. For the last 4 months, it simply refuses to save any information I save in any inputtable document, which makes this product worthless. Not only is there a "watermark" all over the document for this product which I am actually paying for, but it also doesn't save content that I am inputting into input fields. Unless I upgrade even more, it's made my current payed version utterly worthless.

If you pay for a lifetime license they will force you to upgrade and pay them more money to use the service you have already paid for. Really one of the worst software experiences of my life.

A perpetual License is indeed a one-time payment. With it, users own access to the software forever and have free minor updates within this version. However, he/she might need to pay for major upgrades. For example, the user can update software from version 13.1.X to 13.2.X for free, but the upgrade from the major version 13 to version 14 may require an extra fee. We also included this information on the price page. To bring more cool and powerful features to our users, we are always doing our best to improve the product. Seek your understanding based on our large investment of time and energy.

You try to unsubscribe from their promotional emails, and you get "you're not subscribed to our newsletter". Nice "error" that allows them to send you 3 or 4 promo emails per week.

No settings on your profile related to notifications and of course, no help section related to this. Great job!

You are LIARS. This is not free at all without the watermark! However you lied and pretended this is some free alternative to IMOVIE. I would not pay for this program if my life depended on it after those shady ethics and business practices.

I beg you not to download this client, its really not that useful and has no benefit over any other competittors like canva for example, also clipfish is way better.

I thought this site may offer me some help in restoring old photographs but alas it turned out TERRIBLE. I originally subscribed to the local downloaded version but the program would not launch correctly. I use multiple monitors and thought that may be a problem. So I called technical support and even though I explained the problem and offered to send a screen shot, I could not get them to understand my problem. I wound up purchasing the online version and was told I have a 7 day cancellation period. This was a no-go as well. Anyway after multiple calls to support, I would up with no converted images and was then told that I could cancel my subscriptions but "they" had a NO refund policy. No matter how I explained my problems there was simply NO attempts to resolve my issues. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! I LOST ABOUT $100.

At least 4 times Filmora has failed to recognize my account. The links to get to support lead to a dead end. I call the support number and wait for 15-40 minutes and then I am often told it isn't open. When I do get a support person they are helpful. Also the video tutorials by Jackie Nguyen are excellent. But I lose so much time when it doesn't recognize my account and I can't get to support. Bad job, guys.

I purchased the Media.IO head shot generator to get a reasonable profession photo for my wife. I input 6 good photos of her. They have my 50 photos. 85% were male! The photos that were female were not professional, added weird folds and wrinkles, and stretched the head in very strange ways. Not a single useable photo. I requested a refund and they refused. Steer clear, it is a waste of money and they do not stand by their 14 day money back guarantee that they advertise

I spent hours trying to get the software to activate. I tried several times to resolve the issue via Wondershare's useless automated help desk. Once I finally got fed up and tried to cancel, they forced me into a queue for assistance that never updated. I requested that they honor the 30day Money Back Guarantee posted on their site, but instead they hid behind a policy of no refunds no matter what. They demanded the opportunity to resolve the issue, but after hours of frustration all I wanted was my $10 refunded. Three days later they still refuse to refund or honor their Money back Guarantee (even tho I've clearly not been able to activate or use any software). Additionally I've requested multiple times that they remove my profile and personal data as per US and UK Privacy Laws, and they've completely ignored me.
I've now been forced to file a dispute with Amex, file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for disregard of privacy laws, and alert my attorney to begin the process of legal mitigation… all because of their shady and unethical business practices. If you have a money-back guarantee posted for the World to see… then you really should honor it.

Decided i didnt need filmora wondershare anymore so i cancelled on january 25th 2024. Looking at my statements i was charged again February 11th 2024. If i cancel my sub shouldn't all the addon services be cancelled as well? Scammy and over priced. When i inquired via email about a refund i first was sent an email that said a representative would reach out after i answered 4 questions. Did that twice and never got any response after that. Shady business model. Better products for editing out there at a better price.

they have a return policy but i doubt they honor it since they did not care enough to actually reach out to me

To avoid any trouble caused by it, we have especially provided an option for customers to uncheck the Creative Assets on the subscription page. Wondershare is a unreliable company and faulty product and will not refund once we pay
This company and product are not reliable.

The repair software did not have the audio and video in sync.

The support via email has been asking to send the same files over weeks and wasting the time.

Stay away from this company
