I had an appointment with Dylan Layden this morning... at the branch prospect st Fredericton NB. I would give him 6 stars if that was possible... he went above & beyond to set me up with even a better deal from BMO then what I was asking for. So professional & beyond helpful. Bank of false promise, abusing authority to keep customer on hold for whole day with no answer to call. Social media platform also did not help, and so is customer complaint email they think making customer to wait for hours before their call get answered is their standard service. This should be stopped or they should shut down the so called hot line. I would give zero stars if was an option, would not recommend this bank to any family or friends, be-aware!

I have been trying to fix an issue with the online banking app for months. They have no clue why the cheque deposit option doesn't work. They keep inventing reasons to make me go away because they obviously don't know how to fix it. I have wasted hours of my life with these useless people. No more. If you are looking for a place to put your money any other Canadian is significantly better than BMO when it comes to problem solving ability and the quality of the customer service

I've been a BMO customer for many, many years. This bank does nothing for you, but take your money and spit in your face, disgusting. With many other banks, offer maybe, a 2 day early pay check or a credit card or SOMETHING! Not this bank, instead they fight you for every last penny in your account and then they put your account overdraft. Instead of helping you build your credit they find a way to keep your the same no matter how long you've been a customer for, it's actually very sad!

I enjoy doing my banking online however, I couldn't care less about BMO's advertising during my banking sessions. This has been increasing more and more and I am getting really tired of it. Enough already with these invasive ads! There's enough of that crap everywhere we go.
In addition, I'm not a huge fan of the new web interface.
Stupid people they don't know much about the banking proceedings nor do they help u very much. Instead all you'll get for response to most questions oh sorry you will have to go the branch which is even worse as the branch is so rude and slow

The branch on Main street is the worst bank I have ever been too. They are rude make you wait alot longer even when it's not busy. Not very helpfull

I think people should invest more in bitcoin and the government should incorporate more of bitcoin into the society monetary system to aid fast and effective transactions. Platform like BTCPROFITUK, COM help in guiding through the process of btc transactions and even help in save bitcoin investment.
The BMO new online system (2022) crashes almost every time I use it, whether trying to pay bills or transfer money. Very frustrating and a big waste of time. I can understand if it was the first week or two but this has been going on for months. Failing grade BMO. I've been a customer for decades, but time to switch. Your customers time is valuable.

Spent 2 hours on hold, call timed out and just dropped with no answer. Called back to start the process again. In the meantime I dm'd through fb messenger and was given a different ph# and chose the option to have them call me back, only for that person to give me the same ph# to call. The whole process is designed that you will give up in frustration. Incidentally I have used Manulife bank and American Express customer service lines and they actually answer the phone with a real person.
I have been with BMO for approximately 55 years. My debit card got locked out on Sat evening. I phoned the 1 800 number and was told to call Sunday and would be forwarded to the security department. I phoned Sunday and was told there is no other department. I was told there was nothing they could do and that I had to go to a branch to get it unlocked. Of course nothing is open on Sunday. BMO has my money and I can't access it. Isn't that robbery? More than dissatisfied
I would gladly give ZERO to BMO. Disgusting bank. The most horrible and inconvenient online banking service. Also they reduced my credit card limit from $4500 to $2700 without any notification whatsoever. I learnt about it just by chance! Disgusting customer service! Stay away from this bank as far as you can! The worst bank in Canada!

I had an appointment couple of days ago with a gentleman named mr.Alexandre N at Westmount branch. I've been a customer for over the past 12 years and never felt that much welcomed. I was always waiting for the moment where someone will really care about me and my financial situation. He is a true professional polite gentleman. I finally understand what is the meaning of getting ready for retirement, how much it is important to save money and how crucial is to accept to be guided. I was about to move all my assets outside of BMO couple of weeks ago and he made me realized how much BMO cares about me and my goals. Thank you mr.Alexandre for this wonderful experience.

I wish I have seen all the negative reviews before banking with BMO. I just had the worst customer service. 2 weeks of banking with them and they suck so bad. They wouldn't even listen to what you're saying. Man look at that percentage of 1 percent review, I already feel sorry for those who are planning to bank with them. I wouldn't even rate it 1 star.
This is a place where you can quickly and stressfreely do all your banking transaction, tell you what, it's a good thing you try this out.
I applied for $20k loc and was denied. My husband applied and got approved. We have the same debt, same credit rating, same income except with him he never pays his debts on time! Probably because Im a woman! BMO has got to be the most sexest bank to deal with! Absolutely absurd! Now I take a credit hit for f-n NOTHING! Done with this BS bank, dont take customer loyalty seriously at all.
Worst bank I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Their customer service is nonexistent. They held My money hostage in my account on a lost card even when I went to the bank with photo id and another card. They said I had to wait for a new card. It has been over three weeks and have not received it. I once again requested another card and they say they are unable to move my money into my other BMO account until I receive the new card.
I am one of the customers transitioned as part of Bank of the West's transition to BMO. And I can definitely the first-day experience has been horrible. Already started to think of moving out of BMO/Bank of the West. Our login credentials are not working. When you call their 888 #, there is no human present. A Phone Robot answers the call and if you don't know your account #, then it drops the call. If you go online to chat, the same thing happens with the chat. There is no human available for interaction.
Your calls will get dropped from national call centers after being on hold for hours at a time (even late night and early morning you will wait over an hour) and the branches do not get nearly the training they need to help you beyond opening accounts, trust me find a different bank.
This bank is one of the worst though there are no good banks. But this one, in particular, have extremely rude clerks and bad online banking; I had been locked out many times because they sent me security questions I never even set up as mine. They are incompetent and very rude.

I am experiencing racism at the branch level with the branch manager unexcusably witholding my inheritance check much longer than required 30 days. It's painful my grandfather died and the bank is ripping that wound open again and again all because I'm white. It's terrible experiencing racism and mistreatment at a bank.

The story is long-BMO allowed 11,000$ of fraudulent charges (significantly more than my credit limit) to go through on my card in a one hour period at 2am on September 25. I reported them as fraudulent the next day while they were still pending and BMO neither noted the fraud nor did they stop the transactions. BMO has a 4+ hour wait on hold for processing customer service credit card fraud. After spending hours trying to solve this I went to my local branch where the BMO banking representative informed me that BMO doesn't actually do anything with respect to the credit cards it advertises which are signed up for at the branch. BMO is currently holding me responsible for these charges. This is a violation of Canadian banking security
Its been years now that im with them and its the same story since. No one in front or one or two per busy locations and people just literally leave the long because its so long before we get service. And dont get me started on their app its the worst
