I love this idea - swap with strangers from across the country while cleaning your closet. I also agree that a company has a right to earn a little money.

However, in the thrift store world, paying $7 for shipping and handling ($9 if you've bundled more than one item) squelches the thrill of bargan shopping. Then there's the annoying habit many users have seem to have developed of over-charging Yerdle credits for single items.

C'mon, ladies, even high-end consignment stores don't charge $35-45 for skirts and blouses...

I've had fun, but since everyone seems to be waiting around for the next free shipping credit, the selling process has slowed to a crawl.

I'm pretty happy with Yerdle. I've been using it for over two years, and have been able to get rid of many things that have been taking up space, and I just haven't been using. I have also found some great treasures along the way.
The fees aren't too bad, and every package your ship is a flat rate of five dollars.
They only way to see if it will work for you is to try it.
They have a satisfaction guarantee.

Best website ever! Great comunity, awesome items, wonderful way to declutter and refresh your house! Just post your unwanted items, so they get re-adopted by someone who will love them as you once did, and you are free to do the same with other people's items! It a "vicious circle " of "recycling"
But don't trust my word! Come and try it out for yourself!

I signed up for Yerdle recently, and like everyone says, it is garage sale junk for the most part. I was given the incentive $25 that they offer, and decided I would get my daughter a small gift. I found an item, and decided to purchase it when I was asked for my credit card number.The site says it is for keeping out those that commit fraud, but I have to question thier motives.It is never stated up front(that I noticed) that a credit card was necessary, and there are other ways that this can be ensured. Any shipping payments can easily, and just as securely, be secured thru Pay Pal or other online vendors. How do you honestly know if that number can be trusted through them? They can bill your credit card anytime they wish, and disputing the charges will probably not be easy. This would probably be difficult with Pay Pal, Square, etc. and people using these methods are already checked and verified by these companies.The bottom line is, if they cant trust me, why should I trust them? This stuff is definitely garage sale grade, and no sane person would try to defraud them for this junk. I agree this site will likely fold at some point, and my advice is to not join this site and give them your personal information. It is not worth it.

My wife agreed to accept a used item that was to be shipped from a person on the site; when we received a package from the sender the item was not included, instead the sender had simply taped a container/envelope around an old magazine and shipped it to us (so that the sender would "earn" $35 credit for her own use on the site). Negative feedback was provided to the site with no reply and no indication it is being reviewed or acted upon.

I LOVE YERDLE! Its been one of my favorites ever since I signed up a year ago when one of my friends told me about it. I've gotten so many great things for the whole family (mainly my baby & myself.) Its a great place to be! I've thoroughly enjoyed "selling' stuff And most things fly off the shelf so quickly and sharing great items that I just wasn't using anymore & sending them to a new home to be loved! And I've also enjoyed buying! So many unique and cool items, you never know what you may find! :) And theres always great promos and inspiration. The online community is Amazing! (Pro groups on fb or others.)

Be careful who you buy from Yerdle, they can be trashy people who can send you derogatory email. If you make a complaint to Yerdle, they don't address the abusive emails
You receive. All, they can do is refund you but not guarantee to block the seller from interacting with you. It was a horrible experience for me. So I'm just letting you know Buyer Be Ware.

I have been with Yerdle now for about 9 months. I have given over 600 items and received some awesome stuff! You will have the times an item doesn't ship or times when you receive something that was broken/not as described. Yerdle is always great about giving a refund! Once you get that great Yerdle score, everything is worth it. Give it a try:-)

Good customer service. Reliable shippers. Easy ways to earn credits and free shipping. The bundling system works well on the app. The one dollar service fee is fine, but the bundle fee on top of that for another two dollars is annoying. Overall it is a good site, however. Good Facebook groups for the site, too. There should be a neutral option, not just a good and bad option for feedback.

Yerdle offers a unique way to get rid of your unused, or unwanted items. You can literally give away about anything on yerdle. They offer a credit program where you exchange products for yerdle $s to buy things from other people you do need or want. They take the headache out of shipping as they have a set rate for shipping products, and you can even get multiple items from the same person by paying a small bundle fee instead of extra shipping. They also supply the shipping lable, you hust have to print it off. They are always holding contests, posting parties and other special promos to earn more yerdle $s and even free shipping credits. Its a great site and alot of fun.

So my friend sent me a link for Yerdle. At first, you get very little info on the site. Until you dig a little. Then you find that there is no one "giving" you an item. These are all for sale. First the "Yerdle dollars" THEN the "service fee" and possibly a "premium item" fee. And, of course, shipping. I was so excited to see something online that i thought was a bartering site. And then totally let down to find out that the Pez Dispenser i had been eyeing (for 5 yerdle dollars) was actually going to be around $7 (+ 5 yerdle dollars). Not cool.

Can't say enough about how AWESOME Yerdle is. I love love love and LOVE Yerdle! It has saved us so much money and helped us rid ourselves of the extra stuff we had that was weighing us down.:-)

I am having such a great time buying and selling on yerdle. Not only am I decluttering my house I am having fun doing it. I have sold some great things and in return I have bought great things. I love it. I can shop 24/7 wherever I am, if I am broke I can still shop on yerdle with my yerdle bucks

It's a kind of cute business model. "the buyer only pays shipping" using their yerdle dollars for the actual price, etc... and as a buyer I've actually had no issues.

However... let's talk about using Yerdle as a seller. Using their "drop off locations" link... I dropped my last week's worth of "gives" into a secure UPS box a few miles from my home. Of course, you don't receive a tracking number doing a drop off (which I know)... but 4 or 5 days later I start receiving email notifications that they're going to cancel my item if I don't "hurry up and ship it". They're the ones who offer a drop off location as an option.
I wish I could say this only happened once. I've had Yerdle for 6 months, and the same thing happened on a regular basis even before they switched from the Postal Service to UPS! I've lost count.
The best part is, there's no link to notify the company or buyer you've actually already shipped... like other companies like eBay offer the "notify buyer you've shipped".
It gets better yet: for all the of the occurrences of this phenomenon, I did the adult thing and went through Yerdle's support (which is also pretty bad, no links at all signifying there's a way they've made an error). And I filled out a form and told them I'd shipped, using their links to UPS drop boxes.

And the crème de la crème is when they never even responded to my emails. They offer a link at the bottom of all their email notifications when you've had an item canceled that says "If you think you've received this in error, click here". But when you click, it just brings you to support. And they basically deny all error by the way they format their "help and support" area. If you can even call it that.

So my advice? Only use Yerdle if you want to give away your crap to complete strangers... and hand-mail it to God-knows-where... for FREE.

Whether looking for clothes due to extreme weight loss until I get to final weight, searching for toys that toddlers will soon forget or even unique collectibles to be used for gifts, this is an excellent site for all.

90% of the items (junk) posted are things that I can get at goodwill for a better price. You basically are giving away your things for points, with these points you can buy other things. Yea great but you still have to pay $5 shipping and $2-$3 service fee. Or I can maybe sell my own items for real money and go shopping at goodwill.

Overall Yerdle has a decent trading platform. Cheapest possible shipping you will find for trading used items with only a small service fee and lots of opportunitues to earn Free Shipping credits. The more you give, the more you earn. My wife and I combined have given over 300 items in just a few months and have been able to find several useful things like an Apple Tv, Ipods, Samsung Phones, Several pairs of NEW Nike and Ugg Shoes. So for the few bucks you pay for shipping and the Yerdle reuse dollars you earn by getting rid of your unwanted stuff it is a great deal! Just be sure to use NOT expecting Free things, BUT it will be the cheapest method of shipping you will find anywhere, just be sure to read descriptions fully and use the bundling option to get the most for your $$$$

Ok so I love yerdle I use it alot.
Pros. You can find nice stuff on here designer perfumes makeup hand bags all kinds of stuff.
Cons. There fees are a bit much and the most negative thing I have about the company is they do not give you an option to insure your package or to get you package early I have had many packages not make it to me because it was stolen while in transit most likely a UPS carrier that took it. When that happens no one gets the package just the the if that took it it can't be replaced in no way form or fashion it's just gone. Ya you get your points back and shipping but hell I want my stuff or at least the money for the value of items in your package why not it's yours you paid for it. Some people use this app for a way of living like resale and they depend on the items to get to them safe but yet they don't and it can't be replace at all. If you order a Designer authentic Coach hand bag purse whatever if it gets lots in transit you won't get your values for it its gone you just get shipping and yerdles back. There goes 100 dollars of resale money you will never see because they don't provide some type of insurance that ppl have the right to purchase for their items. If people want to pay an extra fee for insurance on their package then that should be offered to them. At the end of the day you don't know peoples ways of living so YERDLE ISN'T IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO PROVIDE YOUR CUSTOMERS WITH SATISFACTION OF THEIR PACKAGES AND SAFE TRANSIT OR ALLOW THEM THE OPTION OF PUTTING A VALUE OF INSURANCE THAT IS APPROPRIATE FOR THERE PACKAGE. YERDLE THIS IS A BIG DOWNFALL FOR YOUR COMPANY YOU NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE

Overall, Yerdle is a terrible business and is probably a scam to steal your money. I recently made a purchase and attempted to cancel the transaction. I sent an email into Yerdle's customer service and received a reply back saying I needed to contact the seller first and make sure they are ok with canceling the transaction. I already made an attempt to message the seller and they have not replied to me which is why I contacted Yerdle's customer service. How is it possible that Yerdle cannot step in and provide help for their customers? Once this issue is resolved or over then I will delete and uninstall yerdle.

I have had nothing but awesome service from yerdle. My experience with individual yerdle members has been spectacular. If there ever has been an issue yerdle support has handled it quickly and efficiently.

Yerdle and their customer service representatives are dishonest and unsure of their own policies. Yerdle closed the accounts of my mother, daughters, and myself. None of their policies state "One Yerdle account per household" however, they hounded me for about 3 months about why we had more than one account. Yerdle also stole about 600YRD from us when they closed the accounts. Lastly, by mistake, my daughter shipped the wrong item to a Yerdler and it ended up back at Yerdle headquarters and they kept the item. That's stealing. In a nutshell, Yerdle is in over their heads. They don't know how to treat good users like us who spent hundreds of dollars on shipping and fees over the last 6-8 months. Lastly, their customer service representative does not respond to emails they initiate. The last email I received asked about whether I was using stock photos (which I was not) and then when I asked them which listing and which photo was in question, I never got a response. The next email I received was informing me that they closed our accounts. Poor quality communication. Too many bugs. And they steal items and currency (earned by shipping your own items to others). It appears that they are getting their butts kicked by other apps like Listia and are now very desperate and no longer pursuing their mission to help users declutter and avoid buying new. What a shame that Yerdle has fallen prey to becoming another greedy organization. I've never had respect for people who create apps that are quick, get rich schemes and rely on their users to do all the work (list items, take photos, ship items, leave feedback, communicate policies to other users, etc.). Yerdle is another example of creating virtual value but in reality their work is just an app and some code. No real value added to our economy.

An online yard sale sounds like an awesome idea.

With today's economy, going frugal is becoming popular and yard sales are always a way to find oddities, novelties, and useless doodads. Everyone knows that when having a yard sale, one needs good stuff and to make sure it's all organized, plus one would hope to earn a profit, right? Sadly, Yerdle didn't get that memo struck out all three times.

If you want anything worthwhile, you're going to have to sort through piles of trash, have extremely low standards, or be an expert at restoration. I rarely find generic blank tees or jeans, let alone anything I'd really want. There is no gardening equipment, electronics are all wires or broken, toys wouldn't even be played with by pets, and speaking of pets, there's nothing to get them unless you want them to eat books.

Organization is just done by keywords, not combination, nothing. Looking for basic clothes will get you purses, jewelry, shoes, and knicknacks. Searching for anything more specific will get you tons of books, mostly on irrelevant subjects. You'd think toys, books, clothes, jewelry, shoes, gardening stuff, etc would all be sorted out so you can find and guy stuff easily. You'd think, so, but not those at yerdle.

Last, but not least, you can't make a profit. Seriously, you can pay with money, but the seller gets none of it. All you get are yerdle points, which can't be redeemed for anything, but the contents of Yerdle's trashcan. At least with ebay you can earn a few pennies for your old actions figures or prom shoes.

I often see people list items for insane prices. It's impossible to get popular items if you price the items you sell at 1 dollar = 1 yerdle (as you should). I highly regret selling my old Nintendo Dsi for 55 yerdles. In the Yerdle rules, you can increase a popular item by 10 yerdles or 30%. I bought it for $45 on Ebay and figured I would list it for 55 yerdles because dsi's are pretty popular. The buyer got it for 55 yerdles... that same person sold it for 1,000 yerdles that same day. I was really upset for a while and quit the site for some time. WAY too many greedy sellers! There is a yerdle pro who consistently sells her ununsed beauty and health products for +200 yerdles per item. Some sellers even go as far as to sell electronics for the highest amount of yerdles. Those people raving 5 stars about the site most likely do NOT go by the 1 dollar = 1 Yerdle. Otherwise, they would feel cheated. I bet they would never price their expensive items at per Yerdle's pricing rules.

Also, the $5 shipping + $2 fee ($3 if it's been on the site under 24 hours) sucks as well. $7 - $8 every order? No thanks. They tack on an extra $2 bundle fee if you want 2-4 items from one seller.
