“Just as expected”

I used these guys and they served their purpose. I had done my own research and wanted someone to provide me with knowledge of laws and regulations so I can make a right decision. I went through my foreclosure without any issue. I think I could have done it without them too, but it was nice to have them for instances I needed more knowledgeable person to talk to. I never expected them to tell what to do, but provide me with the information of laws. I am happy that they were there as there was no other help anywhere else and most lawyers charge you to your teeth for any advice.

They continue to take money with no intention of providing services. Despite reassurance over the phone three months ago that someone was working on my requests for service, I have received NOTHING. I have followed up with them by email but have received no replies. Currently working with my bank to dispute the credit card charges. Beware! They may have once been a valuable service but now are in the business to scam those who can least afford it.

Nick Duncan has been my YWA consultant since May 2011. I do not know what I would have done without his input and support during this time. Every time I have contacted him, he has replied almost immediately. He is always respectful and supportive. He always welcomes my questions and has never been annoyed with me when I am feeling stressed and sometimes ask the same questions over and over. I helped my parents walk away from their home 3 years ago - so I have done this before and am quite knowledgeable. However, I needed to be able to lean on someone during this personal forecloser experience. It has been the best $900+ that I have ever spent. I just can not say thank you enough to Nick for his continued support and excellent advice and guidance during this process! Carol

I feel confident with the service so far. The reps make contact and sure me as soon as I ask a question. They continually explain what each letter from the lender means. Thank you monica, renata and jaye. Look fwd to finalizing my case. I recommend the site.

I signed up with these guys in 2014. You'll notice that the earlier users of this company gave them good reviews. What I didn't know when signing up is they were "drawing down". As a result I came in when the were in process of closing out. They didn't tell me that and promised the same service they gave to the earlier users. I guess they decided to just leave those of us that cane in at the end of their draw down in the dust. I'm just out 1000 dollars I really couldn't afford. To get an attorney and sue them would probably cost me more $$$ and aggravation. It's very sad. They took down the website and all the resources I was to have access to. They were suppose to be with me thru this for 3 years. I asked for a n attorney referral at a discount they promised and never heard back from them.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use it.

I am about 4 months into this process (missed my first mortgage payment in April). Dozens of questions have come up. Youwalkaway has been extremely responsive in answering all of my questions promptly, which helps me to make decisions at each turn. I have not yet had the consultation with the attorney or CPA, as nothing "legal" has technically happened yet with the bank. However, the service so far has been very good and the walkaway kit was very informative.

After absconding with almost $2,000 of membership fees, YouWalkAway WALKED AWAY WITH MY MONEY. They promised an attorney and accountant consultation in their contract with me, but advised me to wait until my property was in actual foreclosure. I took their advice and waited. Then they shut down their website, which is by the way where you schedule attorney and accountant consultations. How convenient. Not only have I lost my home, but I also lost almost $2,000 in fees I paid to them, for which I received NO PROFESSIONAL ATTORNEY OR ACCOUNTANT CONSULTATIONS PER THEIR CONTRACT WITH ME.

My advice: stay away from anything John Maddux puts his hand to. For clients of You Walk Away: 1. File a complaint with the BBB. 2) Dispute credit card charges of payment: tell your bank that you were not provided services as promised and do a "charge back."

Honestly, I am surprised at the negative reviews on here. It makes me wonder? My family have used YouWalkAway before and they were immensely helpful. My sister had some foreclosure problems and YouWalkAway was there to guide her through the whole process with the nasty lenders and cronies as well!

Now she feels like some weight have been lifted up her shoulders and I feel the same way too because she is my sister and her problems are mine as well.

PS: I agree with Jeff, their customer services was wonderful!

The fellow who signed us up, BRAD VEACH, called often to get us to sign up. He then disappeared and is supposed to be in charge of our case. Then we had an attorney consultation and this attorney was arrogant, unhelpful, rude and did not answer our questions well. He left us more confused than satisfied with his time. We want our money back and are going to fight this until we get our money back. We are going to work with the Attorney General of the State of NY if they do not give us our money back.

It turns out that youwalkaway.com is now defunct, but is still accepting money from would-be customers. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but youwalkaway.com did not respond to two rounds of contact attempts. Googling the management reveals that they have better things to do: http :// www.thefreelibrary. Com/Will+strategic+defaulters+be+the+next+credit+union+market%3f-a*******089

Also, https://www.linkedin.com/pub/chad-ruyle/14/a15/564

And the former CEO: http://www.sunstonept.com/index.php/company-meet-the-team

It is unfortunate that this company (sole proprietorship) is preying upon those who have already experienced the misfortune of the economic crisis.

This is not a viable option for those seeking help during foreclosure.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid the site at all costs.

My husband and I used Youwalkway.com and were very happy with this company. They relieved us of worry, concern, and details of walking away from our home. Everything went very smoothly and we are now in possession of a release of our liability to our mortgage. Our contact was Nick and he was very cooperative and went out of his way to get any questions or concerns handled; matter of fact he has maintained contact with me as of late and has offered his assistance if for any reason I need it. My family and I recently walked away from a small single-family home more than 50% under water. YWA provided us invaluable information allowing us to make an informed decision concerning entering foreclosure versus the alternative routes we could have taken. YWA answered promptly and non-judgmentally every question that we asked. I cannot think of one time where my call was not answered on the first ring.
My family and I recommend YWA for their knowledge of the foreclosure process, their commitment to excellent service, and their pragmatic approach to helping homeowners, who, at present, have very little alternative than to continue to waste good money paying inflated mortgages which will never return to their original value and will continue to burden the American economy for years unless we act individually. I urge each person who may be considering entering foreclosure to call YWA today. Learn your options and do not be afraid to make a positive decision for your future. YWA will help you every step down the path to a more prosperous future.

I consulted with Nick and wanted to use Youwalkaway.com's resources to find an attorney who could help me with my case. I was promised a consultation. So I paid the $300 enrollment fee and the only consultation time I was given was a time that I told them previously was not good for me. They never gave me another time. The info I received I already knew. They provided absolutely NOTHING for the money. I guess if you are afraid and need someone to hold your hand while you go through this, then they provide some comfort. But they do absolutely nothing at all. You're in the same boat if you use them or not. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! Do not give them any money. Just walk away all by yourself.

We were referred to YWA by a retirement investment couselor. After a few phone calls with "Monica" we knew this company would provide us a custom time-line for our state and property. The Do Not Call letter worked, not a single call from the lender after we mailed the 1st letter. Every lender-action took place on the day YWA projected. On the afternoon of the public auction, I was trying to get status from the assigned title company who acted like I called a wrong number. After getting off the phone with no information, I noticed an email from YWA; it was to let me know the property sold at auction, back to the mortgage company. There is nothing pleasant about foreclosure, but YWA provided realistic expectations, and a checklist to be sure the mtg co followed the appropriate laws, in a timely manner. If the lender had slowed the process, or skipped steps, we had the info and help to get things back on track. YWA scheduled our consultation with a CPA within a day, to discuss AZ specific recourses. We could have met with a CPA in Phoenix, but wanted to understand the tax consequences before receiving a 1099-C in the mail. We have watched others not know when documents were filed, or how much time before the auction or if the auction got postponed (lenders aren't good about keeping the homeowner informed) or if it actually happened. We didn't have any of those uncertainties. Some may call it hand-holding, but this company, YWA, provided a valuable service to us, and we appreciate that they did their job, and did it well.

I think their ehome connect and national short sale processing is total BS. Ehome connect is a sister company and I am very unsatisfied with them.

YouWalkAway.com doesn't do magic tricks, but the service they provide is truly magical. My wife and I "walked away" from a $250K townhouse that eventually sold for $150K. We were reluctant landlords for three years! We couldn't sell the property, the market rents we were receiving caused us to be upside down $700 a month for three years. The bank wasn't interested in talking to us because we paid our mortgage dilligently every month and we had perfect credit. While the rational decision is to obviously default on that type of transaction where you can never see the end at the light of the tunnel, the emotional side tells you defaulting is the wrong thing to do. YouWalkAway.com is great at walking you through the projected timeline, providing guidance based on best practices other clients have experienced, and really reassuing you everything is ok. Strategically defaulting on our property was the greatest business decision we have ever made, and it is one minor hiccup on an otherwise perfect credit history. I believe I will be able to articulate the rationale behind the decision when it comes time to purchase our next home, and the impact to my current credit is far less severe than anticipated. I would highly recommend YouWalkAway.com to help you navigate through what turns out to be a sophisticated and calculated business decision.

Youwalk away is a great company and they have been a big help in navigating the short sale process. Brad has been my representative I would highly recommend Brad and Youwalkaway to anyone having trouble making their mortgage payments.
