I shipped last Wednesday and my payment was sent today. I sent 72 books and only 2 were rejected. I received an email when my order received and another when my payment was sent and responses to questions within 24 hours. I will use them again and recommend others using them. I think the issue some have with rejections are they are damaged, even slightly and since they are likely reselling they can only accept items in perfect or near perfect condition
100% Do not trust these people. I sent a number of items and by sheer "coincidence" two of the most costly items (£9.60 of a £28 trade) were "rejected". To highlight how much BS this company talks, 1 of the items was purely 2 CD's in a case and it was rejected for "missing pages". THIS ITEM DID NOT COME WITH PAGES. The other item was rejected for "missing pieces" that they conveniently cannot tell me what. Even though all 7 books, the map, and the box were present. Again, do not trust these people at all.

Horrible experience. I sent seven books with a quote of $34 and they only paid me $12. They rejected 4 of the seven. Of course, these were the most expensive books they quoted. These books were not in bad condition. They conveniently do not send them back and said they will "dispose" of them. Yeah right. I am sure they will be selling them for profit. There are other places I could have sold these books had I known this was not an honest legit site.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE THIS SITE - They will quote you something higher than other sites to get you to send your books to them and then once they pay you will come up with excuses and cut your quote over 50%.

I sold books
My first use and I accidentally restarted a trade instead of continuing. As a result they cheated me, paid less than quoted for what I did send and didn't pay at all for the most valuable item. Don't waste your time with them, better to donate your books to charity.
I sent in a valuable hardcover book that included an author signed card. They said the cover was damaged! It was slightly used (it was a vintage book about Bergdorf's window dressings!) but not damaged and they offer you no dispute. They can arbitrarily destroy your books with no proof of damage, and when you try and complain to customer service they tell you to read the terms and conditions. Besides that, they also didn't honor another book and labelled it "Expired". What does that even mean? Don't use them!
They said two most expensive items in my box were not there. The box was sealed with gaffer tape. I've emailed them and, without doubt, will get a load of waffle back. I'd intended to give the proceeds to cancer research as most of the items were my deceased son's, who passed away with cancer. I've asked them to investigate and let me know the outcome so I can contact the police. This is theft in my opinion.
Tip for consumers:
Never again!

I sent my books nearly two months ago. Still there is no sign of payment. No communication, no response. I doubt if I would get payment at all. They block reviews that truly reflect their careless attitude under the pretext of policy violation. This is an unethical practice.
I sent $22 worth of books to them. My books were in excellent shape. They rejected my most expensive book and then said they cannot send them back. Sounds like a major scam and shady company to work with. I would not send my books here. Better off donating them to the library where someone who actually needs them gets them. I'm very upset that I chose to try this company.
I read all the quality requirements before sending in my book. However, I received an email that the book did not meet the quality standards and I was not going to get any money and they were going to dispose of my book! My book was in good condition. What a waste.
Tip for consumers:
Do not sell here
Hello,
Please email support@ziffit.com and the customer service team will look into this further for you.
We urge all customers to read through our condition guide before sending items to us as we do not return or pay for goods that are deemed unacceptable.
Thanks, Ziffit.com
I waited at the appointed time with my books parcelled up. No one arrived. I learned from the collector that the driver was told there was nothing to collect. Not only did the driver never arrive, he never spoke to me and the boxes were sitting by the door waiting. I'm taking my books to the charity shop and won't waste my time again
Prices can go down within minutes & items can disappear from submitted lists & have to input all over again... some items not accepted when previously were. Too long to process orders & payments
Sent in a lot of books and a box set of 9 dvd's in pristine condition. They say they weren't received-complete nonsense. I had to source a bigger box to accommodate both them and my books. Don't lie-if you received the books, you received the dvd's. Needless to say I won't be using them again. Would rather give to charity for all you get from Ziffit.
They are criminals. My books were all in new condition. They"rejected them amd offered no reason. They are crooks and should be prosecuted.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use it ever. Crooks.

Got robbed
Sent in a number of books and never was paid. Contacted customer service and they claim payment was processed and would not provide me with further help.
I made a virtual agreement with Ziffit that they would purchase my brand new LPN entrance test prep Book for a whopping $13.99.
I was just emailed by a Ziffit "customer service hero" that they "recycled" my book bc it was in unsellable condition.
Does something seem wrong about this situation or is it me?

Nothing. Ziffit kept my book they agreed to pay me $13.99 for.
Whilst I found the app easy to use, and getting a box of books over to ziffit made very straightforward by the collect+ shipping option, once my items were reviewed the trade amount for one book 'had expired' - so that item wasn't paid for.
Those using ziffit need to bear in mind that they will occasionally get pennies for items - though text books are worth more.
Hello, thanks for your review :)
Ziffit.com
I sent lots of cds and Blu-ray sand quoted £103
I received £20 as most were not accepted.I did not realise they don't return the items must read the small print in future.Won't bother using again I'm disgusted
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use this site you’ll be robbed
They've owed me $106 for a month they're thieves and should be closed down and they don't have a phone number
Sent the books to them about 5 months ago and never saw a penny. Keep being told there's a delay but I can see they were recieved they've just scammed me
Don't use them. Use any other place that's more legit
Do NOT use Ziffit. They rejected my unused books and then refused to send them back. I'm their email to me, it said they would give reasoning to why it was rejected in the chart below or in my account. I read everywhere and it never stated a reason. I'd advise anyone to never use this site.
I sent in three perfect books (bought years ago and never read) and all three were rejected with no explanation. When pressed for an explanation, all I got was a generic response about possible reasons, and not a specific reason. When further pressed, the list of generic responses was reduced, but a satisfactory response was not produced. These were three near new books, and in no way should be rejected. In addition their "terms and conditions" mean that they "responsibly recycled" and can not be sent back. So in the end, they stole my books and did unknown things with them without any explanation. If they would provide pictures of the received books and cite the specific reasons for rejection, then it would be understandable, but not being stonewalled and then not returning the books is an unacceptable practice. Would not recommend this company.
The trade started on 05/05/2023 number of items totally £4ish. Nothing special but something to put towards some new DVDs for the little man. Time passes and 6 weeks later the transaction is cancelled and to this day I do not know if I'm going to get my items back. Shocking system they must have in place after I had chased up my order twice only to be told that the trade has been received by them but it's in a back log. I only hand to chase it up the second time after received a prompt email telling my to send my items. I bit my tongue and had patience believing the notion of a back log, but now I'm thinking it was all a distraction and the it ms have been lost. Honestly the lack of communication is astounding. In principle they have confirmed my items are with them and not paid me, then cancelled my order. If the items do not come back to me is this technically not theft? You can't speak to anyone in the immediate instance, it's all done over email so it's impossible to get a straight answer. It's only a couple of quid, but to some of us it helps. Not a company I'll deal with again, shear lack of morale and ethics, lacking any decency and principles. I hope this review will deter anyone from using this company.
Personal experience- Ziffit is an absolute SCAM
I had a terrible experience using Ziffit. I hope this review will deter anyone reading this from ever using their services.
I`m a graduate student who entrusted Ziffit with the sale of my books this January. Ziffit is profiting off students by its deceptive and illegal business practices. First, they will conduct an arbitrary "quality inspection" on your books. Second, if your books fail to meet this standard, they will KEEP YOUR BOOKS WITHOUT PROVIDING COMPENSATION. Third, they will NOT PROVIDE A REASON as to why your book "failed" the quality inspection.
I had two expensive law school supplements (purchased for around $200 total) which were in good condition, but were rejected. I was supposed to receive approximately $45, but I RECEIVED $0 and was informed that my books had been "RESPONSIBLY RECYCLED" without my permission. When I asked why my books failed to meet the quality check, I was informed that they had already recycled my books. They refused to provide any photos or evidence as to why my books had failed the check. They failed to return my books, and they failed to compensate me as we had agreed.
Here`s a copied and pasted email I received from one of the customer service individuals:
"When items arrive with us, their condition is inspected by our team. Our business sells books on and if they are not in a good condition, we are unable to sell them. On these occasions, we responsibly recycle these books. Selling these items on would be a breach of our legal obligation – so rejected items are never put up for resale... Unfortunately, these items (my books) have already been recycled so we are unable to provide images. "
To add insult to injury, they will copy and paste their "terms and conditions" which includes language such as:
6.1 Reasons for rejection: we reserve the right to, at our sole discretion, reject items and/or cancel or amend your order where:
(e) one or more of the items was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error (or an error in the pricing information stated by us).
They operate based on an illegal contract. The nuance is that if Ziffit makes an error, you as the consumer pays the price. Ziffit will keep your property and refuse to pay you and pretend this is a legal clause. Which it is not.
Another interesting clause:
If a court finds part of the terms illegal, the rest will continue in force: Each of the sections in these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining sections will remain in full force and effect.
Even the individual who drafted this contract KNOWS this contract is completely illegal.
I could go on but I`m sorely disappointed and appalled that these horrible companies that rip off students in debt even exist. I hope this is a fair and true warning to anyone reading this.
Sincerely,
Disgruntled consumer
They only pay only 20 bucks minimum. It requires more books to get that amount. They buyback things for pennies.
Hello,
Our minimum requirement for a trade is $20 at the moment. We wish you luck in selling your items. Thanks, Ziffit.com
Hello,
This is a rather old review and nothing I say will change this persons mind. However we do monitor review sites and if reviews are found to breach the independent review sites policies then they are reported and it is down to that company to take them down. We would never delete reviews, because we can't. We wish you luck in any future trades. Thanks, Ziffit.com
