Disaster is all I can say about their product. It was fantastic at first, but it has since deteriorated. His algorithms are ridiculous. He offers suggestions that make no sense. It will pitch a fit if it lacks a punctuation mark. Even if you add a semicolon, it will still claim that it is missing. Engagement AI is horrible. He has a limited vocabulary, so he offers words that will make the text meaningless. The user complained about this several years ago, and he had no desire to finish the novel that he had been working on for weeks because of it.

The author sounded analphabetic thanks to Anserine's suggestions. You don't get a copy of what you stored when you deleted your profile. This is against GDPR regulations. It is mandatory, but Ukrainian fraudsters do not care. They give the money from your subscription to the Ukrainian Nazis to buy weapons and kill Russian children. This swindling company has admitted to blocking its customers from Russia and stealing the five million dollars they earned to sell their subscription, which cost a fortune and is unprofitable.

Today, they spammed me with an advertisement begging me to support their country. They even programmed their software to scan what you are writing about their country. How could anyone allow them to do this? It is none of their business what I'm writing about Ukraine or Russia. I am threatened by what they are doing, which gave me a reason to uninstall their extension.

Don't pay their premium membership fee. Do not even use the trial version they offer you because it's a fraud. Delivery AI is garbage that will perform dense political corrections with every word you write. If you are writing a technical application, service manual, or anything technical or academic, its AI engagement will label it as "a bit bland." I'm not sure what he means by it. You can't make anything intellectual or technical interesting to the reader. It is impossible. If you are using smart quotes or a different apostrophe, it will mark it as "text inconsistency." It's unbelievable how its algorithms are so stupid and incomprehensible. Now I understand why many people complained about this, and most of them said that illiterate developers made this software. It corrects things from right to wrong.

Grammarly also promotes Ukraine while prohibiting Russians and Belarusians from using it while they are absolutely innocent; what contempt and bias! They also changed their logo to blue and yellow to show their support for Ukraine, which is extremely political and unsuitable for writing software! Furthermore, if you type Grammarly is horrible or something related, it will simply be marked as "tone suggestion" for premium suggestions and will result in a worse score! What unsuitable software for everyone who utilizes it! The developers built a script that examines your text in 2022. If you type anything about Ukrainian Nazis or Ukraine, the script will highlight it and connect you to a page that supports the Nazi government. What they are doing is vile and vicious. It also violates privacy law, and for this, they should be sued and prosecuted.

Avoid their subscription in a big way. The customer support they have is incompetent and won't help you much. Even their trial is a severe fraud. Plus, the software is slow and wonky. Avoid it!

Here is the attached screenshot of a review that I wrote. As you can see, his algorithms are a colossal failure.

There are already some great answers here, so I will echo a personal experience that made me hate Reddit.

I feel anxious whenever I think of using Reddit for any purpose other than finding porn or memes. After many years of experience I assume, that no matter what I write, unless it's the most generic and boring bull$#*! which expresses exactly the opinion of the majority, I'm likely going to meet with irrational hostility and whatever I say will be downvoted into oblivion.

The voting system doesn't work for anything other than porn, memes, pictures, etc. It kills any form of debate and discussion. Downvotes should be used to silence blatant trolls and spammers. Maybe people whose views are harmful and dangerous, but instead, they're being used to remove dissenting views. Trying to ask difficult questions or raise controversial opinions is thus discouraged on Reddit. As you can guess to many people, that's a bummer. This leads to radicalization and to the creation of soft spaces where people are only ever exposed to the opinions they agree with, which is hardly conducive to any form of development. Another way in which the voting system doesn't work is the fact that two identical posts can receive different scores. I saw it happen to other people, and it happened to me as well.

Reddit cares more about the timing of your answer than its quality. On Reddit time, is the key, you may produce the most detailed, exhaustive, and interesting answer, but if you write it a day or two after the main topic was posted, hardly anyone will pay any attention to it. When the thread is a couple of days old, you may as well ignore it completely if you care about actually reaching any audience. As a result, it's very often the case that the top answers with the most upvotes, which are viewed by most people, are far from the best and instead were written. Reddit also lacks any mechanism that would expose you to the less popular answers. On Quora, you'll see that the top answer isn't always the one with the most upvotes. You also don't need to scroll down to see the newest entries because they pop up much higher. This means you can write an answer to a 5-year-old question or make a comment under any answer and have a good chance of receiving a significant number of views. On Reddit, though, after a couple of days, the hierarchy of answers is set, and it will never change. I don't think I ever received an upvote or a comment under something that I posted under a post that would be more than a week old. OK, so there are plenty of bad answers being on top because they were written early. At least you can always respond to them and explain why you don't agree, right? Well, kind of, but only to a point. That leads me to another issue I have with Reddit.

Post archiving. It's so stupid, I'm lost for words. After six months, all threads are archived, and you cannot answer or reply to existing answers. Combine this with the previous issue, and you end up with a situation where many threads are concluded with flawed answers that cannot be corrected, in any way. They quote technical limitations as a reason for that but does anyone believe that storing some extra text would be a problem. After 6 months, posts receive no comments, to begin with. And many people start new topics to discuss the same thing.

Reddit is excessively censorious. Reddit tries to present itself as a place open for discussion, but when it comes to topics that challenge one's views on freedom of speech and expression, it becomes apparent that Reddit is on the opposite side of the fence. If you only support the freedom of speech when it comes to saying things like "I like pizza" or "I love my mom" but ban things that you deem too controversial, then you're not really in favour of free speech at all because you don't support it where it matters.

There was even a story posted in which a person claimed his life was saved because he watched a video earlier in which a very similar, dangerous scenario was presented. In other words, he knew where things were headed and managed to avoid death or injury. Given the number of subscribers, there must have been at least some weirdo lurking that sub, but generally, people reacted the way you'd expect normal people to react. I don't remember seeing any disrespectful or mean comments. So, you have a sub that teaches people how dangerous life can be, which saves lives and satisfies the curiosity of many people. Why would you ban such a place? Well, it glorified and encouraged violence! Yes, if you ever share a video of a person being killed, the only reason why you would do so is to glorify or encourage violence.

Reddit also quarantines all Subreddits, which have to do with rape fantasies. If you think that having rape fantasies is even controversial or uncommon, you should visit the article on Wikipedia regarding this topic. It quotes research, which indicates it's a common fantasy for both men and women. But if you're a female who wants to post naked pictures and dirty talk to men by saying, "use my body as you wish." Or if you want to write fictional rape stories, Reddit will censor you. Same for incest-related stories. In the case of rape, there is at least an intrinsic element of abuse but in the case of incest? That's ridiculous. Again, this is where freedom of speech matters. If you censor something because it's controversial and triggering, you're not in favour of the freedom of speech.

Reddit is full of holier-than-thou, virtue-signaling individuals, and you never know where you are going to be accused of being mean or impolite. I always feel anxiety when I write anything on Reddit because I cannot help but think someone is going to accuse me of writing in the wrong tone or using the wrong language. My English is not perfect, and perhaps sometimes it makes me appear overly aggressive, confident, or provocative. I never attempted to offend anyone on purpose, and I always try to dress my statements, so they appear as objective as possible.

People who answer questions on Reddit often appear more interested in owning the person who asks, instead of helping or sharing their view. When I joined Reddit I didn't have this impression, it emerged as my experience grew. Very often, the answers I receive are very brief or have the form of "the answer exists, and I know it and that's about it." That is also connected to the previous point. Frequently, I feel like people just wait for an opportunity to abuse my minor mishap. Again, this only happens on Reddit. I don't have this issue with Quora, or some regular forums, which makes me think it's not my fault.

Reddit's users typically appear to act as a hive mind. It's hard to describe, but I regularly feel like I'm talking not to individuals, but rather to some entity that represents the essence of a given sub. I never experienced it more than that one time when I wrote a lengthy philosophical thread and posted it on a sub with more than a million subscribers. I think it was fairly well-thought-out and interesting, especially in comparison to some other posts I saw on that sub, which included a generic, angry rant, full of grammar errors, written by an irritated 15-year-old and which got nearly 100% upvotes. Seconds after, I posted my post (it required at least a couple of minutes to read through); I received the first downvotes and comments mocking me. I asked one query and asked for advice about the malicious user. In the comments I got for my post, they committed numerous fallacies and used many faulty, terms. You can trust me when I say he was wrong and ignorant on every front. Given that other users destroyed him, and everyone stood in my defence? No. All his answers had plenty of upvotes, while most of mine were collapsed because of all the downvotes. OK, that is bad, but at least it's a good thing some moderators can solve these types of issues, right? Well, about that, let me proceed with the next point.

Moderators and administrators are as bad as the users. After I wrote that topic, it was deleted after a couple of minutes and was marked as old. The same thing happened with another post. I also received a temporary mute because I argued with a moderator hastily on that sub! If it were a small sub-community, it would be one thing, but it over hundreds of thousands of subs at that time.

"Reddit is like the Walmart of the internet" I use quotations marks because it's not my original thought, rather something I saw in an answer or comment on Quora, something which makes a lot of sense. There is a general feeling of low quality when it comes to the content. Most users appear to be the most generic, common type of people you'd find on the streets. Moreover, the site is not very well-designed. Yet it's massive and attracts plenty of customers. For all those reasons, I feel uncomfortable whenever I attempt to use Reddit for anything other than porn and memes. It's poorly designed, and there appears to be something wrong with its user base. If it wasn't for the fact it's so big and has a sub for almost anything, which is convenient, I wouldn't use it at all.

Reddit is everything wrong with humanity in one place. Because if you are a behaviorally, emotionally, and psychologically mature adult along with not being a complete dumbass, then the site will disgust you in almost every way.

95% of Redditors are miserable and hollow people inside. If you try to make a joke that's not as stupid as most Redditors, you quite get insulted and bullied because your joke is "$#*!ty" and is a "$#*!post". It's funny because those same people then go on to say that they do have a sense of humor, which is why you insult other people for expressing theirs? What great, funny, and loving human beings you are! I hope you are now beginning to understand how mentally ill these people are.

95% of Redditors are drooling idiots. Almost no real, constructive, two-sided discussions happen on Reddit, as dissenting opinions usually get downvoted to hell and then hidden. People on Reddit aren't smart enough to consider and think about another person's point of view. The entire site is one big circle jerk.

95% of the moderators are mentally stuck at the age of five. Many of them ban users by twisting and manipulating the rules of the subreddit to justify their actions. Many of them ban people for having an opinion they do not like. The moderators on /r/hearthstone, for example, are some of the most crooked and evil people on Reddit.

Reddit is no longer the front page of the internet. It has censored too many things and deleted too many subreddits, not trying to be mainstream anymore with the likes of Twitter. In other words, Reddit is losing its identity. I cannot say that I am sad; the people there and the site itself can go, f**k off for all I care.

Almost no one on the site has the mental capacity to understand that the downvote feature is used for downright trolling/very low-effort content/spam, etc. People will downvote you on the site because they disagree with you and do not like your post. It's rather screwed up to think about, but a lot of the time, if your post is downvoted, you should take pride in it. Because more often than not, it means that you were the one using your brain and not following the hive mind of the site like almost everyone else.

Too long – did not read.

If I could describe the average Redditor to you, it would be stupid, behaviourally and emotionally immature, hostile, selfish, and miserable. Reddit is toxic. Stay away from it and the useless heap of flesh organs and bone that contributes to it.

End of rant.

I have been using their streaming service for several years and happy with how it works. My only issue is that it has intrusive ads, but you can solve it by using uBlock Origin to obstruct them. I wish they could make their service available globally as DEEZER did many years ago. Otherwise, it is a great service and his recommendations are superior to lame last.FM. If you want to get good recommendations, mixes, awesome features, and suggestions use Spotify. They also offer you an annual report that pulverizes the report, which last.FM offers you. They are also very strict when it comes to inflating charts of popular musicians. For that, they have zero tolerance, unlike last.FM.

Tip for consumers:
I recommend everyone to use this site if they are a music nerd like I am. Their catalog is colossal, and it's getting bigger each day.

I wouldn't have much against this company and their method of promoting, but a look at these negative reviews changed my mind. If their company worth something, then they wouldn't rely on advertising themselves so much and posting generated comments. Doing that explains enough that this company is a fraud. Horrendous customer support, inability to postpone your subscription, yielding zero results for the material that you wanted to find, but they claim they have it, aggressive advertisement, and the like. There are multiple websites, articles, and complaints about this company. They are blackmailing their customers and threatening to file charges against them if they don't pay a lousy subscription that costs up to 100 Euros. The only solution to save your money is to terminate your credit card. Better that than to lose your money.

It's a shock that they weren't sued and extinguished for their actions. I noticed this odd behavior on other platforms for downloading "free stuff" as well. When you visit any of those sites, they tell you that you must create an account on usenet.nl to download the material. Comments are auto-generated, which proves that they are fake. I created an account on their platform years ago to find something I needed, and the experience was horrendous. Poor internet speed, poor search results, and an annoying download limit. The UI of their software looks like it came out from the 90s. It's slow and unusable. People need to see the truth and stay away from them and their advertising because it's a fraud. Their response to complaints is also fascinating. They are playing the victim (saying people have no empathy for their service and their support) and going as far as individually mentioning people that called out their fraud. Do not subscribe to their service. If you spot on some sites that are affiliated with this fraudulent corporation, report them to the Federals for malicious advertising.

I do not know where to start. I could write a book about this update that was forced on us half a year ago. So much is dysfunctional, unusable, and broken that it makes the whole site unusable. I understand that we need to go in step with the time, but what they have done is more setback than progress. People have been sending feedback for months, but the "engineers" have fixed none of that. I also forgot to mention that they will censor you if you dare to use "derogatory terms." I also forgot to mention that they would censor you if you dare to use "derogatory terms." If you dare to call them out, then they will send you another warning. I don't know who is working at the devious office, but this oppression and repression are getting out of control. Be careful what you are doing on that platform. They cannot wait, to on a request of a snowflake, mute you. I can't wait for this site to be shut down, and for everyone who works for the company to be arrested by Interpol and the feds. Back to the Eclipse.

Many of the functions they have "adapted" are unusable. They removed the categories, making it impossible to find what you need. You get millions of results that don't match what you wanted to look for. I don't know who thought of removing the categories and replacing them with tags. Every day, 380,000 deviations were placed under each category. Many of the illustrations are fifteen years old and now it is impossible to find them because there are no categories.

The tags are useless and don't help many illustrators get noticed. Many features that allowed less popular illustrators to be noticed have been removed. "More like this," was the best feature ever! It was my favorite feature. I used to spend hours browsing thousands of illustrations. You could find and discover many exceptional illustrators. It was a blast when they launched that in 2009. Many illustrators thanks to that feature became noticeable. Now they have zero chances that anyone will notice them unless they share their work on social networks and thus increase the number of visitors on their profile. The administration is arrogant. They do not care about the users; there is no copyright protection, which doesn't surprise me because their manager was arrested twice for copyright infringement. Pornography is on every corner, and it is almost impossible to avoid.

The user interface is bad, complicated, and unusable. When senior members and volunteers have to make a guide and tutorial to explain to you how to use the new interface, then that explains enough that this update is a complete failure! The overhaul was supposed to bring DeviantArt into the new 2020s decade, but it now looks and operates like a free template website from 2005. The entire website is a gigantic downgrade in every possible way. That is right; not one aspect of it has been improved. The new design is far too frustrating to adapt to it and is no longer worth the time of any artist, casual, enthusiast, student, or professional.

Core Memberships: popular and iconic features are either being completely removed or given to non-Core members.
Custom boxes: pointless, limited to three, and I have no option to rearrange them.

The comment is too narrowed, making it impossible for me to read it. A lot of emptiness with padding on both sides of the screen. I more prefer a comment chain to have the same look that it has on the old platform than narrowing it and making it looks worse. There are still too many popup windows to click to view a complete discussion. The navigation tabs on the left side of the screen are missing. Trying to view your messages in the mailbox while you are using eclipse is a headache.

The mailbox is too narrowed with too much padding and space on both sides of the screen. It's going to be a headache for people who wear glasses with a large dioptre to view messages in eclipse. Some people have 2K, 4K, and 6K (retina display) that have a large resolution and zooming. The browsing technique in eclipse is horrendous! Everything is small and compressed. You have to click the download button to download the deviation to zoom in. Edit and delete buttons for illustrations are too small. They are too close to each other, so there is a risk for you to delete the illustration accidentally instead of updating it.

The text in journals in eclipse is too narrow. Too much emptiness with padding. The texts despite, which screen resolution you have, should expand by themselves. It shouldn't remain stuck in the same position. The text should be readable, examined, and spacious, not narrowed to look like a forest of letters and sentences. On the old platform, you could view journals without any issues. Thanks to this padding and tapering, it is impossible to read it, let alone look at it.

Add to the group button is dead. It lacks a search engine that I used to find other groups. Without it, I cannot find other groups. When I click "add to group" the tab freezes and it's unresponsive to mouse commands. The new UI takes too much memory to load properly.

I'm no longer receiving group notifications when somebody uploads a new illustration. I only am notified when I upload my art into the group's folder. When scrolling down my profile page, I could see my entire cover image flashing through the background of my profile. If I do, fast scrolling then the page will start jumping and freezing.

The list that shows you how many people added to the favorites your art on your deviation page is so tiny, and the number count below it is even smaller and almost impossible to find. What happened to the good old list that was big and viewable? Why make it like that? If my computer screen looks so small, I cannot imagine how smaller the mobile device version is.

The banner for the journal is too enormous. I have to scroll down to read the text. I don't need a stupid banner to take almost the whole screen. Remove it because it's useless. Browsing statuses and journals on someone's profile is a nightmare! It lags the browser and the only solution for me is to kill the process by going to the task manager and click "end process."

They also claim that this update is without advertisements. If so, why is the ad blocker obstructing advertisements five times more than before? UBlock origin obstructed 45 while I was browsing my profile and the number is growing, while on the classic UI, he would obstruct only 5-10. Their claim doesn't hold the water.

Speaking of small, why is the "Add Emote or Avatar" tiny? In fact, why even change that whatsoever? The "Add Media" was perfect in size and better with very little load time. With this version, it is constant scroll, load, scroll with poor search results. That did not happen with Add Media.

Why make two Home Pages when one is enough? That home area could have been for the Daily Deviation. Pointless.

Why custom boxes have "Expand" when you got "Theater View?" It's another pointless option and a waste of development time. This is why so many site developers test and bug fix their products behind closed doors before releasing it to the public. So their customers do not have to experience this frustrating and tedious product 24/7. You can no longer easily add someone's icon by typing something like: iconusername: Now you have to click so many more times, and they're in the same place as emoticons, except it takes even MORE clicks. They got rid of so many useful features for no reason. As I said, I could write a book about this update and how it is a big mistake. It would be better if they finished the profile discussion project. It was the most wanted project that people waited for five years to be finished, but they decided to disband it in the name of this atrocious UI.

Tip for consumers:
Stay away from this site if you don't want to have stressful situations. The old communication has long since left this site. Now there are hysterical children and malicious users who can't wait to belittle you and make fun of you. You have many sites where you will have a better experience than here.

On May 30,2007, CBS took over a platform that used to be helpful but has become the opposite. When you report bullying, harassment, or mobs, it gets ignored. If trolls raid you, they say it's your fault. If you contact the staff, they might not respond for months. Even if they do, their answer is a copy-and-paste that doesn't help. When you voice your concerns to the administration, they assure you they take the matter seriously, but because of privacy concerns, they cannot provide you with any updates. That means they won't help you, and you're on your own. They don't help; they neglect, and when problems arise, they claim they aren't responsible for anything that happens on their platform. If you're being harassed or stalked, or if there are spammers, vandalized Wikipedia articles, voting manipulation, trolls, robotic accounts that inflate the charts, or circumvents, the platform won't do anything to stop them. Criminals can do whatever they want, and they're never punished or banned. Even if users report them repeatedly, the administration takes no action. Liftarn was the only moderator I saw who was good. They locked Wikipedia articles to prevent vandalism, but that's the only time I saw a moderator do their job.

My friends and I have reported issues, but the team always overlooks them. They say, "Opinions are allowed," but given the biased fandom community, it's pointless to express your opinion when you're not allowed to. The staff is unprofessional, disregarding trolls or violating users. Last. FM is turning into another bland social media site. Mistakes are everywhere, and the support team has no desire to terminate them. Last year, they launched new terms of service that censored many bands who shared the same page. It takes years for an old bug to be fixed, and even if it is, it's done sloppily. A straightforward request takes years to implement. People have been asking for this feature for over ten years, and the team still hasn't implemented it yet. When it takes five years to implement a username change, a basic feature every site has, it tells you enough about how bad they are. Robotic accounts are running rampant on their platform. The same band has been on the No. 1 list for several years. It's rare to see another artist or musician on the charts. BTS is a perfect example of such abuse. People asked the administration to abolish their robotic accounts because they outperformed Mr. Brightside, but they did nothing. They accepted their actions by pinning a screenshot on their official Twitter account. That was despicable. What they did was spit in the face.

If you file a complaint and send it to the website, they may label it hostile and threaten to suspend or terminate your account, even if it is constructive. They may also delete or hide your complaint. A moderator locked a thread about this issue and warned the author that they would face consequences if they continued. The community manager says that you can't criticize something unless you've listened to it, which is unfair. That is censorship and dictatorship. Accusations of toxicity and bullying have been made against this community, but the website administration is reluctant to intervene. However, they will act to remove negative comments about certain popular bands if requested by their fans. The website removed numerous features, and the replacement forum has unresolved problems. If you want to discuss music with others, you must create an account on other websites. The mailbox is outdated and frustrating to use. There is no report button for spam or trolling, and it is difficult to keep track of conversations. The community manager censures members if they complain too much, and trolls can post inflammatory comments without consequence. The moderators are unhelpful, and the community manager is biased. Since its launch in 2015, the website has been declining, which has left many people dissatisfied with its current state.

Look up pages for popular bands such as Radiohead and Opeth. They are full of toxic comments that show bigotry and misogyny. This is a septic tank. Tags are misused. With all their tags, trolls label many artists and bands. You cannot post a comment or start a discussion with someone without the idiots replying to you and eradicating the conversation you had with someone by writing inane replies. Their community manager is biased, arrogant, intrusive, relentless, and unprofessional. They have an atrocious support team that locks up topics and complaints. Last.FM is no longer a reliable platform to use. The administrators use "community guidelines" to silence and censor users. The website has rules against trolling, spam, robotic accounts, and harassment, which are all illegal, but the support team has stopped banning such accounts. Instead, they ban the users who reported them. The website has deteriorated since the BETA launch in 2015. A user named Samson-91 was banned despite giving reasonable rebuttals to the administrators. According to a troll, false reports led to Samson-91's ban, and the administrators refused to accept his ban appeal. The administrators also violated the GDPR law by denying Samson-91 access to his data. The administrators, including Maddieman, are not qualified to be community administrators. They alienated veterans with their hive-mind censorship. The administrators censor everything they find offensive, which is unfair to the community. The future of Last FM looks bleak while the current administrators are in office. That's another reason why you should avoid it.

Tip for consumers:
I do not recommend you use this site. Stick to Spotify or Wavy. FM. Wavy. FM is a new alternative to the last.FM. It's faster and more stable, and you'll barely have issues tracking your listening habits, unlike on a botched last.FM, where nothing works. The staff members are not friendly. Those who knew how to do their job are long gone.
