I normally do not post negative reviews of businesses however this company warrants an unfavorable review after my recent experience with them. This is an honest assessment and is in no way colored by anger or any ill feelings. I was recently hired by Video Ad Kings as a "customer service rep". At first I found it odd that I was not being required to come into the office for an interview nor was I given an interview over the phone. I seriously considered going by their second "office" location based in Stockton CA just to make sure they really had a location but I didn't... that was a mistake! Always check out a business that is hiring you especially if things don't add up. It took them a very long time... we are talking days,,, to set me up as an employee and supposedly build an employee portal for me to log into and receive training and work orders. In the end, they were not building it at all but using slack.com. The job was making calls from home in 5 hour shifts 5-6 days per week for a minimum wage of $13 per hour with the possibility of earning bonuses for completing a work order. They claimed they would provide a list of leads but the very first task they gave me was building my own list of 100 completely cold leads off the Internet and verify the contact information. This took way more than 5 hours and I did it without complaint... stayed up till 2am researching lists of attorneys and law firms in and around my area to find real verified contact info. So then my first work order was to call all 100 leads from my list using a sales script that they provided. I was told on the second day that I had to actually speak to 100 decision makers during the 5 hour shift to complete my work order... meaning that speaking to receptionists who took my information or sent me to the attorney's voice mail didn't count toward the 100 calls... I was then supposed to replace all of the calls that ended up resulting in anything other than speaking directly to a decision maker with a new lead off the Internet. This is an unattainable goal so basically they were getting cheap labor. They expected me to find the leads, create the list, verify it, make the calls, set them up for a sale of their services and yet never attain the goal of speaking to 100 decision makers in a 5 hour shift so that they would never have to pay me more than $65 per day. They were not offering commission on sales because I was "not being asked to sell anything". Now I have run this by my sales call coach who is not affiliated with this company... he is an independent coach and a cold calling pro and he agreed with me that this was an unattainable impossible goal and that this company was up to something. Then I ran it by a friend who offers the same or similar services through his company and he did some research into Video Ad Kings because something just didn't sound right to him about the whole things and about the prices they are charging for their services... he agreed that this company is not above board on their dealings. I did further research into this company and cannot find them anywhere online except on their own website and FB page. In conclusion, I highly suggest you do your due diligence before accepting a job with this company or if you are a potential client I strongly suggest that you get them to prove that they are actually providing the service they claim to provide or that they are even a real company. After my experience with them, I certainly would never do business with them. Even if they turn out to be just a start up company run by a bunch of no-nothing punks and not an all out scam company located in a different country, I would still strongly suggest that you seriously consider not doing business with them because they are deceptive and clearly lack integrity.
