About Me

I live near Salt Lake City, Utah, where I am a graphic and web design student, aiming for moving to London and studying film-making.

How I Can Help

I have a decent amount of experience with dating and social sites, and studying web design may be of some benefit to rating websites.

I have really mixed feelings about this site.

Yes, it's full of bots. The free membership experience is absolutely horrible: bot messages, constant spam to your yahoo, hotmail, or wherever, and you can't even view a profile, without a membership.

I had a short term membership (which wasn't long enough to test their 3 month, "get laid, or your money back", guarantee), and, as a member, I found the experience pretty enjoyable.

While I didn't hook up with anyone, I did meet some fun members online and had some wonderful webcam/chatroom experiences, in a short time.

The site has an identity verification feature, where you send a photocopy of a license (if I remember correctly, you can blotch out parts you don't want seen... like the license number), to confirm your identity... which is something I haven't seen on any other site, and it made me feel much more confident about some of the members.

It's also a very polished looking website.

So, it wouldn't be fair for me to recommend the site, but it does offer a nice experience. It just may not be worth it, to you.

The site changes its policy a lot, and there have been cosmetic changes to the site that I've heard friends complain about.

I've never had a problem with these things. The apps can be extremely annoying, because there are so many that seem like a complete waste of time. It would be great if there was some sort of filter.

The site is set up with the idea of connecting you to people you already know, and I jokingly refer to it as "the anti-social network". You can only make a small number of friend requests in a day (while facebook will still make friend add suggestions to you).

Possibly the number one worst thing about facebook (and definitely why I dislike it so much) is how disconnected the support team is. There's no HUD that tells you how many friend requests or pokes you can send in a day, but if you go over that number too many times, you could get your profile deleted, and although you can write the support team, the reply will sound like a bot and basically say "sorry, we can't help you".

I've had my profile deleted twice: once for sending too many messages (via facebook mobile), once for an unknown reason, without warning. I know friends who have had the same experience.

I live near a major city, and I couldn't find many real people on the site. Any time I wasn't a paying member of the site, I would get lots of flirts and e-mails, but, as soon as I paid for my membership, I'd find out that most of those e-mails and flirts were fake. I felt completely cheated...

Also, the website is connected to I sent a message to someone from, and the woman thought I'd sent it from place4friends
