I use the Sony WH1000XM3 headphones in conjunction with Phonak computerized hearing aids, before this I have been using various 'on the ear' type headphones. With 'on the ear' of headphone the hearing aids are of little use because the microphones are outside of the ear cups. No matter, I have been using the graphic equalizers on the tablet computer or PC to help compensate for not being able to make use of the aids. Unfortunately with other noise cancelling headphones that I have tried, the 'on board' graphic equalizers on the PC and computer tablet for some reason do not function. However, the WH-1000XM3 headphones have their own graphic equalizer and much more built into their app, which I can make use of with or without the hearing aids. Certain other noise cancelling headphones that I have tried do not have this capability and to my ears they sound pretty dull, in comparison with the Sony. Also the 'over the ear' function of the WH-1000XM3 ear cups encapsulate the ear and the hearing aids. It is a shame that certain other noise cancelling headphone manufacturers do not recognize that just as people have different visual problems. That is, a variance between each eye, long or short sighted, astigmatism etc. the same goes for our hearing. There is no doubt that the Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones are well ahead of the competition in this matter, they also have an excellent build quality. Well done Sony.

Having been in retail now for about twenty years I know the value of good customer service. In my experience this does not seem to be happening with this company. I have had an issue about a Samsung SM-T510 computer tablet since the beginning of October 2019. One month on there has been no resolution with this matter. Indeed using 'Resolver' the replies just keep repeating themselves when a different person from their 'Team knowhow' takes over. My local Currys PCWorld store also offered little help with this matter. I do not think that I will be venturing into a Currys PCWorld store again in the future.

I contacted Currys Customer Service who asked me for the details of my purchase and then told me that "Stores operate independently" and there was nothing that they could do. I would need to visit or contact the store, (Currys PC World in the City of Bath), for assistance. I duly did as they suggested only to be told that there was nothing that they could do and I would have to contact Currys Customer Service. To avoid getting 'giddy' I left the store.

Samsung SM-T510 tablet computer - NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE?

Please note before you purchase, that this Samsung tablet and similar Samsung devices does not have a magnetometer, (compass), chip and no barometric chip, (altimeter), rendering it useless, or with limited functionality for most navigation apps and for Stellarium augmented reality mode, (point at the object in the sky and see what it is on the tablet or phone). No warning messages with regard to this are displayed on the product specifications.
The compass function has been and still is, standard on most phones tablets and ipads. If you try to download a compass on a number of newer Samsung tablets you will get this message...

UNSUPPORTED DEVICE. Unfortunately this device doesn't have a magnetometer sensor. No compass app will work on your device.

I have spent some time (1hour 20mins.) on the Samsung chat line but to no avail.
The tablet was purchased from Currys/PCWorld in the City of Bath on September 6th 2019, 37 days before the problem was reported, (14/10/19) it was only until then that I discovered the problem. We shall see what the response is from Currys/PCWorld. I will report back later.

These ball link pliers are not really suitable for micro helicopters. With larger ball link pliers they are used not just to release the ball link but also to fix it back into place. This is not possible with this tool, it can only release the ball link. Unlike with other ball link pliers where the part that fits over the ball part of the link is concave to match the contours of the ball with this tool it is pointed. Consequently it slips of of the ball part of the link. Perhaps I should file it flat. I finished up making my own from a pair of ordinary tweezers. For a company like Align whose RC helicopters are of a very high standard for engineering quality, this is not a good advertisement. Oddly enough an identical ball link plier is available from another company, the only difference is instead of 'Align' engraved on them it has 'Turnigy' on them! Please note that these pliers were purchased from Midland Helicopters, but they are still an Align product.

There is no doubt that DJI drones are the best and the most 'intelligent'. However, there is a price to pay. When Buying direct from China are there any consumer protection rights for consumers and dealers? Also when they discontinue or update an item, which seems to happen regularly, I am not sure what happens when UK dealers run out of parts and accessories! With cameras it is a very different matter, 10 year old Nikons, Canons etc. can still be repaired and serviced. I have never had a problem here. I have a Mavic Pro and a Spark, both of which have been discontinued. Some smaller dealers have already run out of batteries etc. Larger UK suppliers hopefully are better stocked. I await re-assurance from the company.

I have used this company a number of times for anything from our shop front to extra detail on radio control models. The results have always been just perfect, the lettering is easy to apply and provides a very professional result. The price is right and delivery is very quick. Definitely a five star company.

Ordered a Baader Hyperion 24mm eyepiece on a Friday, it was with me first thing on the following Monday. Prior to that I emailed them for advice, they were quick to respond and my order subsequently followed. Postage & packing, (Royal Mail), was also inexpensive. I wish all retailers were as good as this. Very good...

Once again the same automated reply, saying 'We suggest you repair the product in you local store', and that has been over 5 months since purchase, According to Banggood warranty policy they are not able to provide any resend, refund or repair service. No consumer protection here, even if the item is not fit for purpose. From now on I think that will stick to UK retailers only.

Expensive mistake

I have purchased quite a number of small, low value items from this company without much trouble, apart from the long delivery time which I accept. If a problem occurs with low value items I have not lost too much. If however a more expensive item fails it could be a costly mistake.
Example:
I purchased a WLtoys V950 back in December and have never flown it until recently. First time out I have found that the tail rotor does not spin. The helicopter was only about 2cm above ground therefore no damage was done, but the heli is not flyable because of this issue. I believe that the problem is with a faulty circuit board, all wired connections are OK. Banggood would not help with this matter and suggested that 'I repair the product in my local store'. This item cost £84 and on arrival I had to pay v. a. t. Taking the cost to over £100!
To be on the safe side I would not purchase an item from a company like this with a value of more than I would be prepared to loose.
