On February 4,2022, I headed to the airport with an Uber driver to charge far more than the usual $ 107, ( about 70 $ is usual), the forecasted snow storm was rain. There was no traffic problem getting to the airport. The problem was with the driver who got lost. He drove me into some kind of freight operation and he had to figure out how to get to the airport from there. I had to help him. He didn't know where terminal three was. I had to help him with that. We took a very long time to get to the airport slowing me down for customs. It's been a lot of time and effort trying to Contact Uber on the app and got an unsatisfactory response. Do it tried contacting Uber on my telephone but couldn't find them. I couldn't message Uber from my app either and couldn't find out how to do that. While on my trip away from Canada Months later Uber decided to charge my credit card with a zero balance. My credit card contacted me and asked me if I authorize that charge I said I didn't then they had to cancel my no credit card. Once again I couldn't get a hold of Uber to find out why they made this o charge on my credit card when I wasn't even in the country The cancellation of my credit card created plenty of problems including extra charges from my storage area and no cell phone when I returned my back into Canada. It was a highly stressful event and I still can't speak or have this situation explained to me about Uber because I can't get hold of them. I am very discouraged by Uber and I'm not giving my credit card to them or any other transportation company on an ad hoc basis. They can't be trusted and you can't get any consumer satisfaction from Uber when they make these major mistakes

Products used:
They gave me $10 back, should have been at least $40

We succumbed to the temptation to the invitation to visit the resort, Villas Sol, here in Costa Rica.

We were approached by a young Costa Rican sporting a blue hat and a blue shirt with the logo and the name of the resort embossed on his shirt. We signed an offer and decided to use a day of our time here to go see this resort, which happened to be very near the B&B we are staying.

We were offered a 3 day 2 night stay at the resort, plus breakfast and lunch the day of our stay. This seemed like an attractive offer that we could use so we agreed. The supervisor of young rep asked if we would agree to pay $25 for the all-inclusive fee for the two days. We agreed to that and off we went to the resort.

We thought the resort was very interesting, with many levels. Three different pools, a gym, a spa area, a tennis court and even a swim up bar. We did not have a chance to try this, as the rain kept up the entire visit, and the next day too. We actually did NOT even see a hotel room or a villa as part of the sales presentation

The food was tired and lacked flavour, but we were a bit late for breakfast. Lunch was a bit better, but the food was very cheap food, like hamburgers. The worst French fries ever. The salads were tasty. But overall the food was quite forgettable. Desert was very limited. The food was like the food in a 2 star Cuban resort.

On the day we called to book the 3 day 2 night, we were informed that we had to pay $246.00 US which was a far cry from the $25 we were promised by the Villas Sol supervisor.

The next day, we met a young couple on the beach, they were honeymooning at Villas Sol. They had no a/c and were unable to get the situation resolved. They hated it and told us they treated like a place to sleep only. Too many broken promises. We know, we know.

Numerous emails and calls have not resolved this situation. I received a email from the customer service rep: we must apply the rate indicating on the certificate, That rate that the boy told is no the correct one, according to the courtesy the all inclusive rate is $50 plus taxes =$61.50 per adult and per night. Adding up to $240 US for the stay.

We were hoping that villas sol would honor this commitment so we can experience this timeshare while we were here and decide if we'd become members or not. Looks like that will not happen.

So be warned, this resort is similar to the resorts here in Costa Rica. We had a presentation on lur last visit here and the same thing happened. These resorts make promises and misrepresent themselves. In the few presentations I attended in North America, this NEVER happened. Timeshares promised rewards and they always gave them Be warned, it happens here in Costa Rica. Be careful and do not waste your time of your vacation on touring Villas Sol.

You can be charged for a room before you even arrive at the place. We found out the hard way. We booked a room with "special conditions", that meaning that you cannot cancel this room once you book it unless you give 30 days notice. We booked less than a week before, but they STILL charged us the cost of the full reservation, even with 2 days cancellation notice. Read the fine print, not all hotels book the same way. booking.com does not make this information clear at all. Makes me feel unsafe when traveling, like thieves are allowed to steal from you with this site.

We finally got some of our money back no thanks to bookings.com. I will not be using them again. Best to jsut find hotels on there then contact the hotel yourself, better and at least you will find out the hotel policy.

I requested an uber, just for a one way trip. The cost of the uber was overpriced. I don't blame...
