That's right you cannot open messages from sellers unless you are using the Aliexpress app...
As well when you use their app they flood you every day with useless unsolicited totally unrelated offers
Tip for consumers:
Message recently popped up when I was trying to checkout/pay "WE ARE UNABLE TO COMPLETE YOUR PURCHASE AT THIS TIME. TRY BACK LATER" After 3 days of trying back later I did manage to contact a real person in customer service...and even they could not fix it. Their solution was to open a new account!
However after not logging in for 6 days...it seems to be taking orders again...prices have really started to increase...compare the item on Ebay first..their shipping is more reliable

Website search feature will often only give you 3 or 4 exact matches of what you are looking for and then 10 or more pages of totally unrelated items
I have used Aliexpress online with my PC for years. I kept on getting messages from seller for promotions but they are not accessible on a PC. When I converted to their app I could finally read these emails... which all contained messages with "special offer"... only problem there were no links to get these offers or to the company site. When I asked one of the suppliers I was told that they are not sending these out. These emails were coming from Aliexpress a week after I made a purchase from them (or put one of their products on my Wish List)... totally useless
Tip for consumers:
You can get good deals sometimes but not as many as you could 3-4 years ago. I have seen Items I bought before double or triple in price within a year. Any name brands will disappear from the site or store within a week of purchase or viewing it

Buyers can find some good finds and prices on collectibles … much better than EBay … but try to become a seller … is frustrating to say the least. 9 out of 10 Auction houses are almost impossible to deal with … they hardly ever respond to enquires … each one charges differently from 15% commission up to 50% yes I said 50% … most put a starting bid at $1.00
Some only want items of a minimum value of $25.00. I would say most of them want to pick & choose what to sell and I would even go as far to say many just want to go through peoples stuff to find the things that you don't know are valuable so they can buy it themselves and then sell it on their own
Tip for consumers:
If you have the time and (and patience) and are willing to test a few sellers for their services it cab be a good place to get rid of stuff...and even get a fair amount of money for items you might have thought had no value...after 3 months of testing different services I picked a "reasonable" one and sold 12,000 lots of "collectibles" over 8 months
Lists FREE Reverse Look Sp sites. But all of of the ones listed charge... none of them are FREE Another useless site!
Ordered Large Mello Yello Fountain Drink + Engineer Sub with Pickle
Cup only filled half way and the fountain ran out of Mello Yello... they just threw it away and gave me another cup and said go pick something else... Nothing Else tastes like Mello Yello,,, and the Coke Free Style Machine is the only place in Canada you can get Mello Yello
When I got home and opened my order NO PICKLE!

I only gave this site a poor review because it can take up to 4 to 5 times answering the same basic questions of Gender, Age, Postal Code, Schooling before it actually gets to a survey and 90% of the time it's not the survey with the offer they sent you in the email that would only take 10 minutes or it's worth 500 points but winds up only being 5 or 10 points
Yes you can get rewards but it will take a lot longer if you are over 55, single, retired or self employed and don't have a university education...
Tip for consumers:
If you have time to waste...a lot of the surveys take 15-30 minutes... but you will eventually get the rewards after several days.
