Great skin care line for anti aging, pigmentation and much more - This is one of the first skin care lines available exclusively to physicians and it is great for a variety of skin types. My only advice is to make sure you see a dermatologist that has experience using these products and that you receive close follow up after beginning the program to ensure the best results.

Velasmooth vs velashape - I think many people are confused when they hear about the velashape machine and you should always ask your provider specifically which machine they are using. The Velashape is the new version of the velasmooth and it is more effective and the only machine currently FDA approved for both cellulite and circumferential reduction.

Great pre-event treatment for your skin - This is probably one of my most popular treatments that brides get before their wedding day. It gives the skin a wonderful glow and really can results you can instantly see. But it is not just for those big events, patients also use this on a regular basis often combining it with one of our silkpeel microdermabrasions for their skin maintanence program.

Go beyond microdermabrasion - Older microdermabrasion treatments used aluminum crystals on your face to generate a peeling effect which helped to remove dead skin cells. Now, the newer microdermabrasion treatments such as the silkpeel use a diamond head and treatment fluid to gently exfoliate the skin. (this is what they are calling dermalinfusion). This treatment can infuse various skin specific solutions to the patients skin at the discretion of the esthetician or dermatologist. (such as salicylic acid for acne prone skin). Finally customized skin care - What I love about prescribed solutions is that you can completely customize the skin care product for each individual patient using a wide variety of boosters. This helps when treating patients with multiple skin concerns. For example, if a patient has acne and wants anti aging creams, we can add acne treatment boosters to their skincare cleanser. It is a very elegant solution to the problem of having too many skin care products on your shelf and each one only doing one thing for your skin. This is one of the most popular lines in my dermatology office.

Fraxel laser technology revolution - This laser revolutionized the way we think of laser skin resurfacing as dermatologists. In the past we used CO2 lasers to completely ablate the top layer of skin on face and then we would let it heal over time. This often took weeks to months for the skin to heal and for our patients to return to work. Now, with fractional technology they can achieve similar type of results but with multiple treatments.
