Experience rating: 4/5 stars (good products, helpful service but some quality problems). The DARCOS is one of the biggest shoe manufacturers in the Argentine Tango shoe business. Its products are well regarded and known on the dance floor. I made an order of two shoes in September 2013 and the it took a long time from order to receive products from Argentina to Europe (7 weeks). Unfortunately the arrived shoes were not correct size, so I had to contact back. This proved to be not so straightforward. Sending emails to the official address vanished into a thin air but using the Web email form in their site got attention. Apparently great number of emails get lost in their spam filters. The english speaking staff was very helpful in arranging the exchange and all proceeded well. You just needed to wait another 8 weeks for the shoes to finally arrive. They were *stunning*. Good piece of handwork, detailed. The leather was a little stiff compared to Italian made Tango shoes but nothing much of complain about. Unfortunately the shoe box was wrapped in very thin brown paper. The nice box was in dog ears all over and scuffed. Not nice to put in closet. Around Christmas Darcos seems to announce deals and offerings where you can buy 2-in-1. Overall I'm satisfied customer. But they should improve the quality control and send correct shoes in the first time. Many people may not have the same patience to deal with errors. To their credit, the wrong shoes needed not to be returned for another hassle to keep track of.

SUMMARY: products are as advertised. The company is reliable, just slow to respond to the grown demand. They need to improve they quality process though: send faster, send correct items (double check the order) and improve packaging (boxes should be wrapped in very thick paper) for better delivery protection.

Excellent service. I was interested in pair of men's shoes. The representative answered promptly to emails queries in *english* (not that common in German) and everything processed smoothly. No days of waiting for email answers. Paid using EU SEPA payment using the store's IBAN. From order it took 2 weeks for TNT Courier to bring the goods to the doorsteps.

BEWARE. This merchant is quite new (US site registered 2011-09-29 via godaddy.com) and lures you in with known brand tango shoes. This is all smoke screen in camouflage. See pictures and full story at http://goo.gl/PqDNID - I ordered two pair of shoes thinking "Hey, this site advertises big tango brands: Greta Flora, 2x4 AlPie, Artesanal... so the shoes must be good quality". What a joke. The catch is that the other shoes, whose brands are newer revealed, are ALL MADE IN CHINA (brand name: Natural Spin). The merchant is ripping people off by selling, as other China based companies do, bad copies of existing high brand models with almost the same price.

The quality of these China made shoes are no match for real known brands, no matter how similar they may look in the pictures. The Web site only saves "good reviews" and all critical reviews are automatically deleted. The problems with these CHINA MADE shoes are many: leather is wrinkled inside the toe cup, the toe cup's upper lining is horribly cheap looking and exposed to the outside, the bottom's sole rocks the shoe when put on straight table, glue spots are visible etc. And did I mention that they look cheap on dance floor.

The seller's (Eran Braverman) response for possibility to get a refund is illuminating [men's are lower quality (hence I sell 2x4) the women's are as top quality as any of the brands. I have many customers who have bought other top Argentinean women's tango shoes, and have rejected them to us, and tell us that our brand is superior] Yeah right. Check out how "2x4 Al Pie" shoes with their specially constructed free movement soles that offer superior maneuverability for the ball of the foot -- usually considered the Rolls Royce of men's Tango Shoes -- are such a low quality at their homepage http://www.2x4alpie.com/

My 2 women's tango shoe order was received 2013-10-13 and the id from the merchant was #2254

Happy throwing away your money with the "Natural Spin" women's tango shoes.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. My story: http://goo.gl/kIIN0 -- Company is located in China. I ordered 6 pairs of shoes. It took 60 days (really) from order to items to arrive. The problems with the shoes were many: the leather smelled weird and heavy, soles of the foot were wrinkled, there were glue spots on the sole, color was not as pictured in their web site; especially the "luxury" gold colored shoes appeared brighter in pictures, but were much darker and not appealing in real.

The shipping costs from China were very high, about ~20% of the total price. The customer service couldn't really offer real, practical help to solve issues in time. When asked, the Live Chat operators said they didn't have direct phone numbers available to them to call at Milanoo internal departments to get things moving. All the Live Chat people seem to do is to forward emails to "Departments which are responsible for xxx and yyy". Very bureaucratic. If you don't respond to Milanoo's emails every 6 days, you receive a message saying that the case will be closed in 24h unless a new contact is made.

If you happen to have the stamina to ask for a RMA, to take pictures (they seem to expect it), write a 10 pages PDF document with all the defects described, package and ship all back to them... good luck. Expect very hard times to take your return case treated in due time. Their Live Chat person even told that processing time for a RMA might take 1-3 months. Read that sentence again.

My case took 3 months from order to RMA and refund. Without a help of a native chinese friend to press the case I believe I wouldn't have got *any* chance of getting my money back.

[About Milanoo's reponse]
"After a full conduction (...) allow me explain that the long processing time of your order is caused by the spring festival". The Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, lasts actually for almost half, not full, of a month. The exact days are different in every year according to the Chinese lunar calendar. The 2013 Year of Snake the festival times were around February 3-24. The *24th* day is the fifteenth day of the lunar New Year (also referred to Lantern Festival) and it *ends* the Spring Festival activities and *all* *things* *are* *back* *to* *normal* *after* *that* *day*. I placed my order 2013-02-10 (during Spring festival; festival ended 2013-02-24) but only 2013-03-20 was the package dispatched from China; a month *after* the end of the Spring festival. Likewise, after the return, I battled for 2 weeks trying to get a clear answer when the refund will be issued. Dates were never given. It was always a vague "in few days" or "soon". Without direct phone calls by a Chinese friend to Milanoo I feel the contacts would have just worn you down with lot of empty promises and empty pocket.

PURE SCAM. TAKES YOUR MONEY. STAY AWAY. THANK GOD their web order form and paypal had a problem when I tried to order large amount of shoes (worth $$$ USD). I tried to contact via email to ask about the problem. Sent dozen of emails in 2 weeks but got no answers.

I got suspicious and started dug more. They do not have contact phone numbers. They don't publish details of their location. They don't have Terms & Conditions. They only have PayPal option to buy. All their email addresses are *random* Google addresses. All the warning bells started to chime.

If you think about their site repertoire: is it possible to have all the *best* shoes designers listed and sell their shoes? Not likely. I even reported their Domain registrar GoDaddy.com for fraud but nothing happened.

According to whois the site was registered 2013-01-03 by Monica Kujawa <*******@hotmail.com>, 7 Marigold Road, Gorham, IL *******, US. The site resides at idear4business international LTD in United States. A DREAM ONLINE SELLER. Wonderful service. I ordered around 10 sweaters, shoes, and other things from this US site to Europe. Everything got processed promptly and all my emails were answered very fast and professionally. The goods arrived in due time, about 10 days. Returns couldn't have been simpler: pack all up, add explanation of returns and ship away. My Credit Card was was almost immediately refunded when they received the returns. Can't ask for anything else. Wish all would have this level of service. Thank you!
