  • YesAsia

7/5/16

Sites such as kpopmart, and ktown4u give you the poster for free when you buy an album but yesasia charges $5 for a piece of paper.
BUT aside from the expensive and overpriced merchandise, yesasia is very organized, has an easy-to-navigate website, great customer service, well bubble-wrapped packages. If you don't mind spending $10-20 more than the average Kpop merchandise site, YesAsia would be a great go-to kpop store.

My go-to source for japanese albums released by Korean artists.
The orders are packaged okay (not as much bubble wrap compared to some sites), the site is easy to navigate, there are a lot of shipping options and a rewards point system (which gives you free 300 points = 300 yen on your birthday).

Ktown4u (aka DVDHeaven) has never ever disappointed me. I have ordered from them 13 times and every time I order from them they package the merchandise with a lot of bubble wrap. Nothing has ever arrive damaged. They are EXTREMELY fast with shipping. Not only the great service, they are currently (2016) the cheapest online k-pop store out there! Would definitely recommend Ktown4u :)

I have been a customer of Kpoptown since 2010. That's 6 years of using this site. In the beginning, maybe the first couple of years, they had excellent service and they were the lowest priced online k-pop store. As years passed, their shipping and album pricing raised ridiculously high. Not only that, 4 of my most recent orders (2015-2016) have had some sort of error. The first issue was that they did not have the album in stock, and did not even bother to notify me that it would be an extra 2 week wait for my albums. 2nd problem was that they did had an error pricing the album and requested me to pay $3 more if I still wanted my album. 3rd, it took 5 weeks to ship 2 albums (no posters) to me, and I live in Canada. The most ridiculous part is that I ordered 2 different albums (with 2 posters) from Ktown4u (aka DVDheaven) 2 weeks after I ordered from Kpoptown and Ktown4u's albums managed to arrive first! That is absolutely ridiculous. If they cannot handle the amount of customers they are recieving then they need to hire more staff and be more organized! Honestly would have whole-heartedly recommend this site 3+ years ago but their service is absolute $#*! now. Never going to order from them again, lesson learned.

Fyi: I have ordered from their site 18 times in the time period of 2010-2016

Do NOT order from their online store at all costs. Avoid it like the plague! I've read the reviews prior to purchasing and made the mistake of giving Zara a chance.
I ordered 1 jacket at the end on March. It took 23 days to arrive at the store I wanted to pick it up at! 23 DAYS to ship across the country! It baffles me how I could have simultaneously ordered an item from Japan and it would have arrived faster!
Not only that I contacted customer service 3 times and the only response I got was "your request has been forwarded to the appropriate department."
What is wrong with this company's system, it clearly doesn't work at all.
