Alex McGilliard is rude, obnoxious, greedy, a compulsive liar and abusive and I told him first and foremost I was stood up by colonial Van lines and had to rent a uhaul and hire thugs to move me out of my home to close on it as everyone was breathing down my neck not to mention coming out of a traumatic divorce but then this! He brought a truck to small for a four bedroom home on purpose so he could charge me $7,100 extra to rent a 20' uhaul that they only filled a quarter full, this is on top of $500 and another $6,600 I already paid them. They hired second hand people at my expense one they flew in from Florida REALLY without my permission, I wasn't given receipts for items bought to do partial packing which did not take place, they took furniture apart and were supposed to reassemble but did not and I have no idea where the parts are? They did damages and theft of course McGilliard argues this who never once was present and would not file a claim for me? They were five days late with zero communication and somewhere in route they had the audacity to take the loaded truck and unload some of my household goods into another truck without my permission upon arrival refusing to show me before final payment? Alex screaming at me on speaker phone for the storage employees to hear. Thumbtack where I found them tried to mediate and McGilliard didn't comply and they removed him from thumbtack but McGilliard decided to call after the fact and Gary at thumbtack retracted his statement letting Luxe back on thumbtack? They packed the final storage unit polar opposite of what I asked and the large commissioned paintings in front they were told were pricey but no concern there and I'm not able to get to anything in my unit and I feel that was there strategy! Everyone is shady. I need my money back, they did damage and stole from me!
PS You can see in the last photo where they had filled up the uhaul that had been a quarter full upon departure? These things HAVE TO BE ADDRESSED WITH CUSTOMERS!

I called and spoke with Kelly Furlong and she GUARANTEED me a truck and driver the last weekend of August 2020 before the closing on my home, I gave two and a half months notice and 40% down. I was alone and stressed already after a traumatic divorce and they were a NO SHOW? I had to scramble and figure something out, rent a uhaul hire the Loading Zone which ended up being a real life nightmare and then hiring another company to move me across the country which was also a nightmare. Colonial Van Lines took NO accountability, they OWE me for hotel, storage rental and damages I incurred due to having to hire thugs thanks to them. I had buyers, a broker, realtors, my ex breathing down my neck like this was my fault! A woman named Donna from Colonial Van Lines WAS corresponding with me until I dropped a number $ and flat out stopped replying to me until I recently posted a BBB complaint on them. What is wrong with these companies?
