DHGate have finally agreed to process my refund and have emailed me to confirm they have done this.
They have a huge problem with suppliers providing false tracking numbers so your goods never arrive but by the time you complain the seller has deleted their account and moved on. I placed two orders with two seperate suppliers and this happened both times, i note from other peoples feedback this is not uncommon.
Whilst DHGate have refunded me, to their credit, they simply do not take this issue seriously. On the latest occiasion i told them weeks ago this was a scam and they simply ignored this and followed a policy of treating it as a supplier dispute. I told them the supplier had deleted their account, again they simply ignored this.
Essentially their policies are not fit for purpose and make it very easy for scammers to operate. You can get your moeny back from DHGate but only after waiting weeks and having the inconvenience of never receiving the goods you wanted and having to constantly speak with their customer service people... who are not always well mannered with one of them terminating a conversation with me before i had even finished the discussion.
Save yourself time and wasted effort, do not use DHGate
