I bought my Certified Lexus in January of this year. My salesperson, Greg, was very good. However, their service department is HORRIBLE. Lexus has always been my dream car. I have had anything BUT a dream experience at this dealership. When you walk in, you're impressed with the appearance, but that's where it ends. The first time I took my car in for some basic tech help (wasn't able to be done for some reason), I was asked to leave it. I showed up before it opened because I had to be at work on time. The service person assigned to me was running late, so I was late for work. Then, the loaner car they gave me was filthy and literally had trash in it… I had my windows tinted including the front windshield with a clear anti-glare for $180 recently. After I was inspecting the tint job, I noticed the window itself was separating from the car and I could see the glue behind the windshield. I called my salesperson, he inspected it, and agreed the windshield should be taken care of (by Lexus). I requested to be reimbursed for my tint job since I wasn't going to have the window I just had tinted, and I am still hassling with the reimbursement with no answer from George yet… I bought the Auto Mate pkg at the time I bought my car and was told that it was basically an auto detail package every six months which included the interior and exterior. I dropped my car off two days ago for this & my windshield and I received my car back dirtier than when I sent it with them. I was told by Gary "we don't do auto detailing here". I stated that I was told the interior and exterior would be "just like an auto detailing". I spent a lot of wasted money on the auto mate package that is supposed to also include leather cleaning. I still have the same dust on my seats that I had when I turned it in. The inside looks completely untouched except it has more dirt in it. When I called this morning to pick up my car, they said "I believe it still just needs to be washed". I said, "washed?" I took it in for the auto detailing (auto mate). That lead to "we don't do that here, etc." The "Auto Mate" pkg is a joke. Don't waste your money. The loaner car I received two days ago had a gas tank that was literally on "E". I had to stop for gas because I wasn't sure I'd make it home. This isn't the kind of experience customer's should have. It's an inconvenience as it is to have service done of any kind, but you sure hope that it doesn't leave you frustrated EVERY time. I wish I could leave their saying, "gosh, I LOVE Lexus". That isn't the case thanks to Desert Lexus. I dread this place!
