  • Pandora

6/15/18

In my book, Pandora is obviously the leader in streaming music. The free version is enough for me, and seems to have less ads than in the past, so I hope it stays free forever. I've never had any technical issues, it offers a smooth, uncluttered experience, and a favorite feature is the ability to create personal listening stations. The winner hands down in comparison to other streaming music services. No complaints from me.

  • Green Dot

6/15/18

I would have to agree with most other reviews here. While Green Dot is decidedly one of the worst in the financial sector, It's hard not to interact with this company at some point in life. According to Wikipedia, it's considered the "world's largest prepaid debit card company and operates the platforms for Apple Pay, Uber, & Intuit", and is in partnership with businesses like TurboTax & WalMart's GoBank. Green Dot also owns the RushCard.

Green Dot also operates under the name Bonneville Bank, but accounts or transactions cannot be transferred between the two. That's where I had the biggest issue.

Green Dot's customer service is very UNhelpful, and is very limited. If you have a problem you're practically on your own. Their reputation is bad across the web, on Yelp, Amazon, & CreditKarma. It's definitely about the worst you can do business with. Avoid the prepaid card if at all possible, it's loaded with extra fees, and you may even be stuck paying the monthly fee if you don't setup direct deposits of at least $1000 per month.

  • YouGov What the world thinks

6/13/18

I've been a member of YouGov since it's early days. I'm surprised it hasn't been reviewed on Sitejabber until now. While some of the surveys are a little monotonous (the ones conducted in "37 countries around the world"), there is also an opportunity to participate in occasional university surveys, focus groups, and widely published political surveys.

Most of the surveys are short (10-15 minutes). They make it easy to earn points, depending on how often you want to receive surveys, which pay 500 to 2000 points each. YouGov pays promptly. I received a $100 VISA card within 2 weeks the first time, and also participated in a focus group with other selected participants from different parts of the U.S., for which I was paid $125 in virtual VISA cards within 24 hours. I am also now closing in on another $200 worth of points.

YouGov has survey results for polls, many short polls on the website, and runs very smoothly; rarely has there been any technical glitches, and points are always properly distributed. YouGov gets my vote for possibly being the very best survey & opinion site online.

  • Forrager

Ever thought about selling baked goods, candies, or other homemade food products? This handy little site can help you get started. Sorted by state, you can find the basics about the laws, production venues, & more on this site. It also has links to each state's cottage food laws. A good place to get started learning how to setup a homemade food business.

  • Myhealth.va.gov

6/12/18

Anyone entitled to military health care in America is missing out if they don't take advantage of this website. Not only can you schedule & check doctor appointments, but also one click of a button orders prescription refills, x-rays can easily be downloaded, and a secure message to any doctor may get you a same-day response. Amazingly awesome.

  • You're Getting Old!

6/12/18

Surfed across another fun website, but if you don't want to feel old, you may not want to go here. The results will astonish you and include the number of times your heart has beaten, & how many folks born on the same day are still living.

  • whatdoestheinternetthink?

6/12/18

Just for fun and out of curiosity, I thought I'd check out this site for a variety of topics, and as another reviewer said, it taps into public opinion based on internet search engines (I assume). Interesting.

  • Newspapers

6/12/18

Forget Google - this site is jam-packed with newspapers and clippings going back up to 300 years. Can't wait until I can afford the $100 annual subscription fee.

  • National Hurricane Center

6/12/18

This is my go-to website for hurricane tracking which of course includes national weather service forecasts.

  • Bizapedia

6/11/18

This site can give some basic info on businesses and business owners via data derived from state records. You can possibly get more info by going directly to secretary of state websites, but it still provides a centralized place to get the basics without navigating to multiple state sites. The advanced "pro" search services, data and listings are fee-based.

  • Benefits.gov

6/11/18

The federal government's award-winning website provides lists of benefits available on state and federal levels for individuals and businesses, from all participating agencies. It's a smooth-running website which includes a benefits finder that's very cool, and helps tailor any available benefits to your needs based on your input.

  • Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

6/11/18

The federal government's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau website offers tons & tons of info on everything financial including tools, tips and info on credit and finances, like guides on student loans, buying real estate, getting auto loans, retirement, etc. Comes in handy for anyone needing help understanding anything about finances.

  • SafetyServe

6/9/18

This is the official site for the National Safety Council Defensive Driving Courses and every cluttered page of this site is designed to get you to purchase the short online course. But it was well worth the time & money for me. After taking the course & submitting documentation to my insurer, it lowered my auto insurance by about 10%. The site also offers a professional truck driver online defensive driving course.

  • Real Or Satire

6/9/18

This site bills itself as a way to check a website's URL to see if a site is real or fake. It can't compare to sitejabber, but has its own reviews and can help lead you away from "fake news".

  • 123movies

6/9/18

Looking for a site to watch new release movies brought me to 123movies, but clicking on any link will open a malware or spam page. Closing the infected page out before it loads in your browser can save you some frustration & aggravation, because once it loads, it's hard to defeat. This site has many alias top-level domains at. Net,. In, etc. If you can avoid the malware, it's possible to watch or download movies still playing in theaters, and older titles as well.

  • Arthur Hardy's Mardi Gras Guide

6/9/18

This site is from the original authority on New Orleans Mardi Gras, Mr. Arthur Hardy, and features everything you need to know about Mardi Gras history, events, news, parades, schedules & more. The website is an accompaniment to an Hardy's annual Mardi Gras Guide" magazine.

  • SendEarnings

6/9/18

This is a very slow way to earn money from surveys & reading emails. Only pays after reaching $30.00. It takes forever to earn points, at 2 cents per email or time-consuming 25 cents surveys, and most of the 'free offers' are useless or spam. You can get more points from other sites for clicking buttons. SendEarnings is a very poor waste of time.

  • Chasms

6/8/18

This site carries a "tool which emulates a multitude of internet applications to identify problems and solve them on the spot". In other words it's a simulator that carries virtually all the major iOS, email, Microsoft apps (among other things) in different versions so you can actually simulate the basic features, as though you're using them. Very cool.

  • Bitly

6/8/18

I have to concur - that I think this may simply the about the best link shortener service on the web. I think it's cool

  • Download Twitter Videos To MP4 & MP3! Online Easy & Free

6/6/18

Was looking for a way to save memorable GIFs on Twitter, and ran across this site, which makes it quite easy to download them. You simply enter the URL, click the download button, and that's it. Didn't get any redirects or spam. So far, so good.
