How I Can Help

Logic and common sense should rule a company, particularly one of size and stature. In my field I do a lot of business with a lot of different venders. I just feel that one voice, crying out in the wilderness may attract more voices crying out together, and these giants... who baffle me with ineptitudes, will change the way they run things for the sake of all sanity.

Interests

Music, Audio Producing, SCUBA Diving.

To get a refund for the order. At least I did get a refund, so that is saying something! I would suggest extra attention if you are ordering something that isn't directly from Walmart.

I found an "Ugly Christmas Shirt" on Walmart.com through some company called "JOYBUY". After purchase, I was assured it would be delivered by December 10th, as I wanted to wear it for a show on Christmas Eve. The date came and went, and was changed from the 10th, to the 13th, to the 17th to "Delayed". I reached out to the company with an automated response. It wasn't until I cancelled the order today on Christmas Eve that I got an email back asking why I was cancelling... um... wut? Walmart should not try to be Amazon and carry multiple vendors that will not ship on time and keep communications open. Warning... Make sure that whatever you order from Walmart is actually... WALMART. Epic fail from one of the biggest.

ME: CDC, should I get a poke if I already had Covid?
CDC: "Yes, you should be poked regardless of whether you already had COVID-19. That's because experts do not yet know how long you are protected from getting sick again after recovering from COVID-19."
ME: Oh, okay. Hmm. Well, if I can still get sick after I get the poke, how is it helping me?
CDC: We never said you wouldn't get sick. We said it would reduce your chances of serious illness or death.
ME: Oh, sorry. Alright, exactly how much does it reduce my chance of serious illness or death.
CDC: We don't know.
ME: Then what's your best estimate for how much risk reduction there is?
CDC: We don't know, okay?
ME: Um, if I'm healthy and don't want the poke, is there any reason I should get it?
CDC: Yes, for the collective.
ME: How does the collective benefit from me getting poked?
CDC: Because you could spread the virus to someone else who might get sick and die.
ME: Can a poked person spread the virus to someone else?
CDC: Yes.
ME: So if I get poked, I could still spread the virus to someone else?
CDC: Yes.
ME: But I thought you just said, the REASON I should get poked was to prevent me spreading the virus? How does that make sense if I can still catch Covid and spread it after getting the poke?
CDC: Never mind that okay? The other thing is, if you don't get vaccinated, there's a chance the virus could possibly mutate into a strain that escapes the pokes protection, putting all poked people at risk.
ME: So the poke stops the virus from mutating?
CDC: No.
ME: So it can still mutate in poked people?
CDC: Yes.
ME: This seems confusing. If the poke doesn't stop mutations, and it doesn't stop infections, then how does me getting poked help prevent a more deadly strain from evolving to escape the poke?
CDC: You aren't listening, okay? The bottom line is: as long as you are unvaccinated, you pose a threat to vaccinated people.
ME: But what KIND of threat?
CDC: The threat that they could get a serious case of Covid and possibly die.
ME: My brain hurts. Didn't you JUST say that the poke doesn't keep people from catching Covid, but prevents a serious case or dying? Now it seems like you're saying poked people can still easily die from Covid even after they got the poke just by running into an unpoked person! Which is it?
CDC: That's it, we're hanging up now.
ME: Wait! I just want to make sure I understand all this. So, even if I ALREADY had Covid, I should STILL get poked, because we don't know how long natural immunity lasts, and we also don't know how long poke immunity lasts. And I should get the poke to keep a poked person from catching Covid from me, but even if I get the poke, I can give it to the poked person anyways. And, the other poked person can still easily catch a serious case of Covid from me and die. Do I have all that right?
…
ME: Um, hello? Is anyone there?

Let's talk about the debacle that is the UPS customer service. I ordered an item from reverb.com and for some reason my old address was entered in and I didn't catch it in time. So I thought I'd reach out to UPS customer service to see if they could help. I started on the chat which is available on ups.com. The person that I got to help me was somebody with a name that I could not pronounce, and the ineptitude was extremely evident from the moment they said hello. Instead of offering me any kind of solution in changing my address he's kept copying and pasting the same information over and over again. He also ignored my request to speak to a supervisor. After 30 minutes of an unsuccessful chat, I decided to call the customer service line. As I called and was prompted by the bot, I was rerouted several times even though I asked to speak to an agent. It would then ask me for information, I would give it it would not understand and then it would hang me up. This went on for about 15 minutes until I finally tracked it, and I don't know how, to allow me to speak to a representative. Come to find out they lost one of my packages, and I had to file a claim, secondly I was also informed that there was no possibility of changing the address or having it re-routed to any of the UPS stores near me, I had to drive all the way out to Van Nuys instead. This is an utter and dismal failure on UPS and they need to re-calculate and revamp how they handle customer service.

Tip for consumers:
If you value your phone or mobile device, please do not try to call the customer service line. It will hang you up over and over and cause you to throw your device across the room causing more damage.

I received two $50 gift cards via snail mail. Albeit this does not cover the amount charged, I will gladly take it for the headache of dealing with brainless customer service reps with thick accents.

AT&T... the epitome of ineptitude.

Just one of many: AT&T billed my credit card for a modem I returned back in January. I've been fighting a losing battle for my money back, even though the idiots sent me an email confirming the gear was returned. I've talked to 14 different people since January and the ineptitude is quite mind staggering. I was told that I was credited the amount, but nobody knows where the money is... huh? I was also told by a supervisor, that the finance department was in a "Bad Mood" and didn't feel like helping... um WHAT? Should I give up on ever seeing my $150 again?

Tip for consumers:
Use Verizon...or anyone, really.

Don't get me wrong, I love Home Depot and will continue to shop there, however the online pickup is seriously flawed. You would think that after an order online, paid for and verified would take a quick 5 minutes to breeze into the store and grab your items with proof of purchase. Not the case. Upon arriving I was put in the same line as customer service and returns. It took around 35 minutes for me to go through the line, obtain my items and leave. Comparably, I could have easily shopped these items myself, paid for them and left in half the time. Just sayin'.

Tip for consumers:
Either pay for the shipping or shop it yourself. It will save time!

I really don't think anyone ever wins the monthly draws. I put 1.6 million tokens on a $1000 gift card draw, and LOST. I am trying one last time, I have 1.1 million tokens on an iPad Mini pictured below. Let's see. I have also been playing since 2014 (ish?) and have only ever won $10 on a quick draw. I think these names and people are a LIE and this site is getting rich off advertising and hacking your info. Prove me wrong. Who is Michelle C. From FL who won the $1,000 Visa Gift Card that I had 1.6 MILLION tokens on? (See Screen shot) Sound off Michelle... PROVE you are real. PLUS... when I asked the same questions on their FB page... I got DELETED! Instead of a legit response DELETE! If you are so reputable Winloot... WHY DELETE ME? SCAM!

Tip for consumers:
