Hanamasa is a pretty typical, chain type restaurant with many locations in Jakarta. Here on Bali we are very lucky to have a location and I am lucky because it is a short taxi ride away from my home.

The theme here is Japanese Do It Yourself dining. First, you brew a tasty soup with added veggies and meats, right at your table in a large cauldron. Following that you can dine on various meats to be grilled, once again at your table. The quality of the food seems above average. They also have a walk up option where you can get prawn tempura ad have a variety of sausages and other Japanese concoctions grilled for you and delivered to the table.

Drinks and desserts are included in the current price of about $16 per meal. It is all you can eat so come early with an empty stomach and stay for hours enjoying the great array of offerings.

I will probably be sorry I reviewed Star Bistro, on Jalan Tamblingan, in Sanur, Bali, but i will anyway because it is so outrageously good.

For over a year have been frequenting this excellent restaurant and have never been let down by any of the many dishes I have tried. The quality and quantity of the entrees, usually served with steamed vegetables and sauteed potatoes, is always creative and delicious.

I highly recommend the Chicken in a rich cheese pasta sauce, roast chicken, fish and chips, or various English style pies, especially the steak and kidney pie.

Star has what I believe is the best cappuccino to be found anywhere in the world. It rivals the finest coffee to be found in Italy. Delicious with a mound of finely frothed cream standing about 1" above the rim of the cup.

I cannot over recommend this restaurant... and am probably sorry I did now that my favorite table, street side will now be harder to get... Oh well... they do take reservations!

UNBLIEVABLE!

This was probably one of the worst meals I ever had in my 66 years on this planet, and I have had many.

Warung Tekko has a few locations in Indonesia. We, most unfortunately, went to the one on Bali, in Renon for lunch recently.

To begin with the prices are high. They specialize in short ribs and chicken so we ordered an order of each. When the orders arrived we could not believe how void of meat they were. The chicken appeared to have been starved to death and the mostly fatty ribs were tough and greasy. When finished I was still starved as if I had not eaten.

Everything here is terrible. Dry rice that had been oversteamed, Meats that appear to have been reheated from the day before, and lousy service that you must find and hail for any response.

Our total bill for this garbage came to $12, a lot to pay for food on this island paradise.

Be forwarned... DON'T EAT HERE! IT SUCKS!

This company does not exist. They will have you transfer your money thinking you are purchasing coffee making machines and related equipment, only to disappear into the fog of cyberspace.

Recently, I purchased a $355 machine that I will never see or use. As soon as the money transfer was made the seller was gone. No more communications!

I live in Indonesia, a country known for internet scams. I should have known better. Be VERY CAREFUL purchasing online from Indonesian companies. Make sure they have a real location and have been established before sending any funds.
