After spending several weeks searching for a kitchen company to design the kitchen that we wanted and not one they thought we should have, we discovered Unfitted.com's website. A quick phone call to the office soon established that we had come to the right place as Richard listened to us and encouraged us to take a step by step approach to designing the kitchen with the look and feel we wanted to complete our new build. A visit to the showroom proved invaluable as we were able to see touch and feel the available options as well as have a face to face with Richard.
Our new kitchen along with additional custom made cupboard doors arrived a few weeks later and was installed by our builder with a few little glitches which are to be expected.
There was one big problem in that a Tall Larder Unit had been made to the wrong design which turned out to be an anomaly introduced by Unfitted's computer software which had previously acted up during the design stage. Once we had established the error, Richard and Mark did the right thing and re-made the unit to the correct spec. This is the mark of a good organisation as it is easy to be agreeable when things are going well but the true mark of a company's culture is what happens when things go wrong.
An attraction of the Unfitted approach is that we have been able to buy most of the units we want, install them and then see how things pan out prior to ordering what we require to give us a complete kitchen. This philosophy falls in line with the way we wished to progress our project and means that we will revisit Unfitted in the next few months to order more items to complement what we have installed already and complete our project.
