I love going to deviant art to look at the great work that various artists have created. Anything you can think of can be found there. It is free to use and user friendly. I would highly recommend it.

I used this site a few years ago. It was fun for a short time, but then I started to get viruses in my computer. I have no idea if it was related to this site, but the fact that stumbleupon is basically a site where you web hop from random site to random site... there is no way to know if every site you go to via stumleupon is safe!
If you decide to use this site, make sure you have great virus protection.

This site doesn't seem to have been around for very long. It is the website that users who have downloaded the Colors app for phones and the 3DS system use to display the artwork they have created by utilizing the app.

In my opinion, there is a lot of amazing work posted here. Unfortunately, the site does not always search well. This could be due to the site's young age, or it could just be bad programming.

Another problem with the site is that there is no age filter. The age regulations claim that you must be "13 or older" to use the website. Yet there are much younger children posting there, not to mention angry parents of said children. This causes problems because art gets reported as "offensive" simply because artists portray nudity in an artistic way. Artistic nudity is not against the rules of the site! Art also gets removed because children become "grossed out" if they think the art portrays a gay relationship.

I feel that for the most part, this site is enjoyable, but there is much that needs to be done to improve it.

  • Facebook

Facebook is wildly popular. Almost everyone I know has one, and it's really convenient if you have relatives who live far away. But there are many privacy issues with it. It's not safe to post anything there, really. If you are fine with everyone knowing your business, then FB is the site for you.
Another problem with this site is that people in general are annoying. There are the over sharers, who tell about every single thing they do every day. Then there are people who post a constant flood of memes. Don't forget the people who post vague stabs at "unknown" people who have apparently wronged them.

I am also sick of seeing "If you don't share this, you worship Satan" type things.

I'm sorry but FB is NOT great. As I mentioned before, it may be convenient to talk to family members you never see, but I don't know if it's worth all the irritation. Why not just call your family?

  • Game Informer Magazine

If you are a gamer and you like to know everything about the world of gaming, Game Informer is as good a site as any to start. There are many well written reviews and articles for your reading pleasure there. And, if you get a subscription, you can get the e-version of their magazine, which is also a good read.
The community there is decent. I wouldn't bother with it, though.

  • Friendcodes.com

It's a site where people who play video games, mainly Nintendo, come together and talk about their experiences and exchange friend codes so that they can play online together. It works, but everything about it is very basic. The site has been around for quite some time and has become a little inactive.
I still go there because they have have gaming news on the front page. It's nice to go there to find out what's going on in the world of Nintendo.

  • BabyCenter

I have been using BabyCenter since I got pregnant. I just read the information on the front page at first, but then I noticed they have a community. I joined because I wanted to talk to other mothers who are like me. I met the most amazing ladies there.
I saw many negative reviews for the site, but I have to say I do not agree. I feel that honesty is what makes the site so great. If you want to be in an environment full of strong, opinionated women, BabyCenter is the site for you. If you want to go to a place where everyone will agree with you all the time, go somewhere else.

Despite the people's overexaggeration with the new layout, seems like it's not as bad. Although...
