  • Tire Rack

Really, tirerack.com is just one of many new online retailers that feed on people who don't know the market prices of the product they are searching for. Tirerack.com has tons of low quality tires heavily marked up to dealership prices and you aren't even paying for the installation, which at least the dealerships include! Just avoid tirerack.com altogether. The prices are 50% - 200% higher than what you can find at tire service centers. Just an altogether rip-off.

Tip for consumers:
Price compare like I did. It will have you hundreds of dollars.

  • IKEA

I hopped onto the Ikea website to see what kind of options I had for a kitchen remodel. I was surprised by the accuracy and adaptability of their remodeling program. I was able to build my entire kitchen online and have an Ikea remodel expert go over it and process the order for free. The accuracy is fantastic.

Tip for consumers:
Don't be afraid to go in or call for help.

Products used:
The Magpul California Compliant hand grip and Magpul hand guard. Both in dark earth color.

It's just one of those websites that pretend to provide you information you need for a game or device and it reroutes you to other spam pages.

If you do manage to get the actual page you want from it, the website will pummel you with ads.

Avoid this website and any like it!

I myself am not much of a fan of text based MMOs. I used to play them a lot back in highschool. If you have a nostalgic desire to play one this is definitely the place to do it.

  • Kraken Bitcoin Exchange

I originally signed up with Kraken when Ripple (XRP) was worth $0.18. As with all exchanges dealing with USA residents I had to submit my information to be able to trade, so I did. A week later, nothing, I messaged them several times. A month later, nothing, I messaged them more. Two months go by and the "Customer Support" agent asked for my information all a second time. Now I didn't check my email that day, so when I did the following day (only 10 hours after he send the first message) he threatened to close the ticket for lack of response.

These morons do NOT know how to run an exchange. By the time he finally replied ripple was worth $1.20. I lost out on thousands of dollars because of these idiots.

I also followed the Kraken forums and several other users have had currency just disappear. Kraken is nothing more than a slowly failing scam.

DO NOT USE KRAKEN!

  • Wish

4/4/16

Ok, so Wish.com has great deals, hands down the best deals anywhere. It's also relatively easy to navigate and purchase items.

The issue with wish.com is, that you can expect about 25% of the items you purchased to:
1) Never show up, or take 2 months+ to arrive
2) Be the wrong item
3) Be the wrong color, style, or size.

That being said, most of the sellers are willing to fully refund you or send you the right item to make up for it.

Having now bought 100+ items from wish.com myself I would personally say that it's worth it.

If you want fast shipping or demand designer quality wish is not for you. But if you're willing to wait 3 weeks for a faux winter jacket that only costs $12 and it looks like one you seen at Walmart for $198, then this site is for you.

There's no intentional scams that I've seen, the prices are legit. Items are usually lower quality, but the prices definitely reflect it.

  • Rakuten

4/4/16

My experience with Rakuten started when I was searching for a camera for my wife, this particular camera averaged $750.00 for the camera alone. I stumbled across Rakuten and searched reviews, which were all positive. Rakuten offered the same camera for $680 and a whole accessory kit with it!

Upon checking out I recieved a notice that they would take $80 off my order for opening a credit card with them. Of course I did it. All together a recieved an amazing deal, and on top of that the credit company called me and wanted to confirm that I made the order before they charged me, which I was happy to know that their security was so vigilant.

My wife loves her camera and accessories. So the very least I can do is highly recommend Rakuten. It's a basically unknown company, but from my experience, a great one.

  • iBuyPower

4/4/16

I had really wanted a new gaming PC for quite some time. After pricing out all of my wants I found that my PC would cost me about $2200.

IBuyPower constantly has great deals, so I put in all my wants and the computer came out costing me only $1800.

I would suggest getting the extra shipping padding though, as the US guy arrived he dropped my PC and broke a footstand. Ibuypower was supposed to send me a replacement for free, I haven't recieved it yet though. That's the only issue, customer service.

As for the computer itself, it works great. Best PC I've ever owned.

Firstly, the "free bids" they offer to you aren't free, you must purchase bids in order to recieve your "free" bids.

Secondly, the selection is actually quite limited.

Third, the fact that you have to pay for bids and then actually pay for the item is rediculous and provides the average winner almost no savings at all.

Fourth, items don't end at the end time, every time a bid is placed the server sets 10 more seconds to allows hundreds of more bids to be placed, making "final bids" last for hours.

Altogether beezid.com is nothing but a scam, you can spend lots of money on bids and NEVER win any items at all. I would suggest eBay.com instead.

  • Groupon

12/22/15

I've shopped on Groupon quite a bit and lately they seem less and less particular about their products. If you're looking for haircuts, massages, personalized items, photography, or the occasional $15 for $30 coupon Groupon is pretty good.

When it comes to actual products like electronics or toys you can find WAY better deals on Amazon or Ebay.

I'm not saying Groupon is bad, just buying products from them is bad. Most of the services you find on Groupon are EXCELLENT deals.

  • Overstock.com

12/22/15

Overstock.com feeds you outrageous claims of savings while providing you the quality of Chinese wholesale and the prices of a Hollywood Gucci store!

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is cheap here! There's too many other companies that provide much better deals. These other better companies or sites aren't secrets either! Walmart, Amazon, Ebay, Zulilly, Home Depot, Lowes, Jcpenny, ect. Just pick a store, any store, and you'll get much better prices.

  • Zulily

12/15/15

They promise delivery by Christmas and then tell me that they won't be delivering until new years! The customer service refuses to give consolation for their lies. This is just a fascist Chinese company with American employees.
