I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY YELLOW PAGES CONDUCTS BUSINESS. MOST CONSUMERS, IF THEY NEED A PLUMBER, FOR EXAMPLE, WILL GOOGLE WITH THE WORDS PLUMBERS NEAR ME. THE WAY I SEE IT, IN ORDER TO GET YOUR YELLOW PAGES AD SEEN BY CONSUMERS, THE CONSUMER HAS TO FIRST TYPE YELLOW PAGES IN THE SEARCH ENGINE AND THEN TYPE IN PLUMBERS -- AN EXTRA STEP THAT MOST PEOPLE DO NOT DO. I CALLED TO CANCEL MY YELLOW PAGES AD WHICH IS PAID BY PRE-AUTHORIZATION TO MY CREDIT CARD EVERY MONTH. YELLOW PAGES TELLS ME THAT 'ACCORDING TO THE CONTRACT' WHICH I SIGNED WAY BACK WHEN WHEN I FIRST STARTED USING THEM, THERE IS A THREE-MONTH CANCELLATION FEE EQUAL TO THREE MONTHS BILLINGS TO ME. I CAN SEE THEM CHARGING A CANCELLATION FEE WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF PROVIDING THEIR SERVICE, BUT THEY HAVE AUTOMATICALLY RENEWED BY CONTRACT EVERY YEAR (WHICH I DIDN'T MIND), BUT NOW WHEN I WANT TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT, I HAVE TO PAY THIS THREE-MONTH CANCELLATION FEE. IN MY OPINION, IT'S A CASH GRAB ON THEIR PART. SO NOW THEY ARE GOING TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE NEXT 3 MONTHS FOR THE CANCELLATION FEE -- SILLY ME, I SHOULD NEVER HAVE GONE ON PRE-AUTHORIZED BILLINGS -- I SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN TO GET A BILL AND THEN PAID EACH MONTH MYSELF. I'M NOT HAPPY WITH YOU, YELLOW PAGES.
