Janice depends on the hotel most want to use the credit card given for security due to fraud so check with the hotel first befor your husband becomes distraught

You can book a hotel and advise on the booking it is for someone else, I did this for my daughter without any problems.

Have to say that I've used Agoda all over South East Asia, and never has a hotel asked to see my debit card. As long as you have a copy of the booking, all should be OK. Copy means either paper copy of access to your e-mail conformation from Agoda to show booking/reception clerk.

When you pay with a card, you should be one of the guests. If you already done it, you ought to enquire with AGODA and the hotel via email and send your husband a copy of reply.

Hi
Really important that printed voucher matches a credit card upon check in- helps everything run smoothly! I had never had any probs with Agoda but I always use a specific low amount credit card ($5000 AUD) when booking accom online, this reduces issues if someone uses fraudently but still gets me out of strife if I need to rebook accom or flights. Last week I had trouble in Vietnam with MasterCard but successfully used my commonwealth bank travel money card.
Enjoy trip

I personally refrain from using debit card, it is like paying cash. Credit card is much safer and easier to correct any discrepancies...

I will never again give my business to agoda, Agoda is incompetent and not trust worthy. Cancel if you can..

When booking with Agoda, you must provide the voucher which must be in the guests name with original credit card used in the booking. I recently booked a hotel in Sydney under my name but as our credit cards were left in Canada we only had my husbands credit card. We had to call Agoda and have the Voucher reissued into his name.

No problems. As John said just make sure you have your Voucher from Agoda and photo ID (Passport Licence etc) Tell him if any problems just stand his ground. There is always at least 1 person on each shift that speaks good English. They are good people I have never had any problems in all the times I stayed there. There Transportation is safe and relilable and quite a bit cheaper. Use their Transport if at all possible. My favorite Driver for Nichols is Ramil. He has been there for 32 years. I good tip! Tell your husband to buy some food at the airport before he leaves for the hotel and take it with him. Their coffee shop is not very good and the prices a quite high. There is a 7-11 about 2 blocks away if he needs anything and it has a BPI -ATM inside for safety. Good Luck!

If it is paid in full It will be fine once the payment is cleared at least 5 days before traveling as sometimes the hotel only pre authorised the amount until you get there and then swipe your card for full payment so you will have to check with them or if that's the case and he doesn't have your card he could pay by cash on booking in just make sure he has the voucher with him

Will be fine as long as the money has been debited just remember to take the hotel voucher with that is important.
