Do not order anything from this website. I ordered a dress for my daughter's wedding. It was defective in that there was something wrong with the zipper. I had to find another dress at the very last minute (as in 30 minutes before the wedding because the zipper was broken). When I contacted the company to ask about a refund, they refused to honor their 100% guarantee. The dress was $150 and all they offered to do was refund me $10.

"Shine" is very evasive and will simply not honor the 100% guarantee. I loved my dress, but the zipper was defective. I was left scrambling for a replacement dress 30 minutes before my daughter's wedding. "Shine" even went so far as to say I ordered the wrong size and wasn't it good that I was able to find a replacement dress on such short notice. HA! She then suggested I take it to a tailor and have the zipper replaced... at MY expense, of course.

For anyone that reads these, RUN, RUN, RUN from Dresstimes. I wish I knew who to report this to in the US to shut them down. They sell cheap knock-offs, poorly made, and then falsely advertise 100% satisfaction guarantee. To me, it's consumer fraud, plain and simple.

We, too, are thinking of ordering a wedding gown from dresstimes.com but can't find anyone that's done business with them or at least have reviewed their dealings. They have responded to emails within the timeframe they state on the website, however, when trying to order they say PayPal is an option but it doesn't offer that option when finalizing the sale.

Anyone have ANY info at all?

In their defense under the FAQ section of their website they do state that the dresses are replicas.
"How you are able to provide low prices?
All the dresses are the replicas. We will use the similar fabric to produce the dresses with our own factory."
"What exactly do you mean by reproduction/replica?
Our dresses are replicas, the fabric is similar and some details are simliar. But we promise the dresses will be more than 90% similar with the pictures."
Although, I read on a Yahoo posting that it is illegal for dresstime to be posting the designers pictures on their website.
I also saw that someone wrote, "We have not had great experience with them. I would just spend a bit more and buy something else. One bridesmaid has gotten her dress and she said that it is super cheap with excess fabric, cheap zippers and can not get much money back in return."
I'm curious to hear how things go for you in March, Jimi P. Please up date us when you recieve your dress. I hope it is identical to what you wanted.

I've ordered a bridesmaid dress from dresstimes. It's beautiful. The material is quite good. Most of all, they can make the dress more fit me. The price is cheap, so it deserves the money.

Thanks for sharing your experiences ordering through Dress Times! I really want to order through them but have been too nervous. I feel so much better now! For the price, I think it's worth the risk for me.
What color dress did everyone order? I would like to order it in ivory, but I am a little worried about the color. The online color swatches make ivory look a little weird, so maybe white would be better. Would love to hear your thoughts!

We paid by pay pal and did rush order payment. Dresstimes contacted us right away, sent the pay pal link, I am a regular guy. Who makes up a story of their daugthters prom, when everyone else is talking wedding? We live in Tokyo and dresses here cost a fortune because they do not have proms, so you are stuck with really cheap crap that bar girls wear (long story) or designer dresses that WAY too expensive. I will see about the photo but the dress is having some other alterations done to it right now (as one would expec). 100% satified. Better than buying it in the mall that is for sure.

Hey ladies,
I am also considering buying form dresstimes. Can you tell me if you had to do much alteration after you got it?
I'm 5'2" and all dresses I've tried in bridal shops are way too long. I'm concerned that the dresstimes website doesn't seem to allow me to tell them my height and exact measurements. I wouldn't want to have to take it up as the dress I like has a lovely lace detail at the bottom... cutting it would not be an option! Will the dress fit when I get it!

Greetings Ladies,
Most unfortunately, I have NOT had a good experience with dresstimes. Like all of you, I was very hesitant to purchase a wedding dress online especially from China. I found your blog a about a month ago. There was so much wonderful feedback that I went ahead and ordered a Jenny Packham replica. I went to a local botique, tried the dress on and loved it! Alas, the dress arrived yesterday and it is horrible. I am now in the precess of returning the dress, however I am not sure if I will be able to get my money back. They said I have to send pictures to see if there really was anything wrong.

I wont rant too long but my primary complaints about the dress are:

First. The dress is beaded with plastic, not metal beads like the dress I requested. The beads you used are black, not silver like the Jenny Packham Sorrento.
ALSO: the beading is sewn in crooked and even sewn into the lining in places so the dress hangs crooked!

Second. The straps of the dress are barely sewn on. They are 10cm too long at the ends so there is a huge strap tail hanging out the back! The beading your company did is sparse, with clear beads not silver, nothing like the Jenny Packham dress that I tried on.

Third. The bodice is not completely sewn together and the pads in the bust are crooked. When I put the dress on, the unfinished seams open and the dress looks terrible.

Fourth. The hem all around the dress is crooked and was sewn poorly.

Lastly. The veil is a piece of gauze. I could have gone to the fabric store here in the US and bought that for half the price I paid dresstimes. There is not even a clip to put it into you hair!

Over all, I am very unhappy with the quality of the dress. The website said it would be made with a like material. The Jenny Packham Sorrento is made of Silk. Dresstimes made the dress with satin. Satin does not breath. The inside lining of the dress is itchy and hot.

As an extremely disappointed bride to be, I am now out $300 and still need to find a dress for my wedding in 3 months.

I would recommend you go elsewhere and stay in the US. Calling their number on the website goes to someones personal cell phone or something, a woman answered yesterday and didnt even say that it was dresstimes!
Better luck to all of you in your hunt for the perfect dress... and congrats on your weddings!
Xx

Jimi and cliffetee, I stand corrected and apologize! The Vera Wang images ARE from the Vera Wang site after I researched further. So therefore, while I do stand by my comments that alot of them do not look well made esp at the hemline where they drape poorly and even look uneven (not as part of a design), this is NOT a reflection on DressTimes but on Vera Wang. So I truly, truly do hope that everyone out there who has ordered a wedding dress will be happy with theirs and I sincerely apologize for my mistake and am sorry if it has caused anyone anxiety.

Hi Ladies:)

I too am thinking about ordering my mori lee dress from dresstimes. I am EXTREMELY nervous about this since this is the only dress that I have tried on that I absolutely in love with. I was going to buy it in store, but the 1200 price tag was NOT going to work with my budget. I found the dress on dresstimes and want so bad to get it, but i all of the sudden have gotten hesitant about it.

Will you sweet ladies please send me pictures and info on your purchase with them. I have read very mixed reviews and have NO CLUE what to do!

My email is salinacrawford@yahoo.com. Thank you ladies! I hope your weddings are beautiful! :)

Hey Ladies. Sorry it took so long to reply. Maybe it was because Im sooo disappointed with my order! I got my BM's dresses which were poorly made. Looks like they spent 3 mins total on making each dress. It was super longer then in the picture so they all have to be hemmed and along with a few other alterations. They sent me the wrong color. Off by enough to be noticeable. They didnt send all the right sizes and sent an extra dress on their mistake and wanted me to pay extra shipping to send back the extra dress to China! Sorry. I dont think so.

My wedding dress, was poorly made of satin, not silk. The beading is cheap and the straps look nothing like the dress I thought I was ordering. The straps weren't even sewed on straight! Very, very noticeable! My wedding is in 2 months. I feel like I just wasted $900. Now I have to make due with the BM's dresses and either hope my seamstress can do magic or buy another dress. Good thing I'm wearing a reception dress! They saying is true, "You get what you pay for".

I'm at the point where I'm so stressed out over the situation, I just don't care. I know regardless, my wedding will still be the most wonderful day of my life, even if I'm not 100% happy with the dresses. More like 60%...

I haven't even taken a photo because all i want to do is forget about it. I realized that vera wang can't be replicated... so i'm on the wedding dress hunt again because I really can't spend $6000 on a wedding gown.

Greetings Ladies,

As much as I want to be a nice person, sadly this company has given me no choice! I am normally a reasonable and a really nice person but this company is not worth a penny! DO NOT, I REPEAT! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, DRESSTIMES! Their products do not deliver and they wont give me a refund! If it was a legit company then they would refund you, but it's not! The dresses I ordered were 2 from amsale [but looked nothing like] were way too big and the quality was not great AT ALL. The company is based in China all their dresses are not similar to the replicas at all. I am a very dissatisfied BRIDE-TO-BE and wasted a couple hundred on two ugly dresses! So please, I really want to save all you ladies a couple of bucks! What you pay for is what you get... MEN LIE, WOMEN LIE, NUMBERS DON'T LIE... GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE DRESSTIME BUYERS OUT THERE! BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK! LOL feel free to email me if you have any question, I'd be more than happy to answer your questions! I've never been so passionately angry with anything until dresstimes came along! -kim

RUN, RUN, RUN!

Yeah, well, six months later, I still have not gotten a refund for my "100% guaranteed" purchase. Like other posters here, all they wanted to offer me was $10-$20, they REFUSED to give me a return shipping address, and the telephone number listed on their website is voice mail only and no one ever calls back.

Six months later, I am still trying to get my money back but "Shine" is now non-responsive to my inquiries.

I wish I knew who here in the US to report this company to in order to get them shut down. They sell cheap knock-offs that are poorly made and then refuse to honor their 100% satisfaction guarantee. That's consumer fraud, plain and simple.
