Healthgrades.com is a scam. Their information is totally incorrect.

I have been a licensed therapist for years, and they publish my name (without my consent, of course) with the title of Intern. They also publish names of colleagues I have worked with over the years who retired or quit long, long ago!
Do not use them as a resource for anything.

An area hospital is touting its "rating" in orthopedic surgery received from HealthGrades. How does any hospital get a department rated on this site and how meaningful is the rating. They say it is based in part on reported complications. The most suspect claim is: "If all hospitals performed at the level of a 5-star rated hospital, 185,875 inhospital complications may have been avolided among Medicare patients over the three years studied." Comments?

Dr. Mark Helbraun he has been a board certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon since the inception of his practice in 1978. He has been the Section Chief of Colon an Rectal Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center for the past 25 years. He has NEVER practiced general surgery which Healthgrades indicates as his practice specialty. Please remove this incorrect information and indicate the correct informaton as stated above.
