Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from DeleteMe staff and previous consumers.
Hi There, Thanks for your great question! As our privacy policy states [https://joindeleteme.com/legal/], we won't track, store, or sell your personal information to anyone, under any circumstance. Simply put, your privacy is our business. Getting it right is how our company succeeds. Without a reputation for trustworthiness, we couldn't stay in business for long. We've been in business since 2011, and we've processed over 10 Million consumer opt-outs. That said, your information is likely to reappear over time. Many activities that we engage in generate data that can then be republished. Some examples of the activities include: Registering to vote Purchasing real estate/vehicles Signing up for Utilities [Phone/cable/gas] And many more (you can find the full list at https://joindeleteme.com/help/kb/how-does-my-personal-info-get-online/)
Hi Natalie! DeleteMe will remove your personal information from the leading online data broker and people search websites. Some sites we cannot remove your personal information from because they do not offer an opt-out procedure. DeleteMe is not able to remove arrest or court records from the web. DeleteMe removes basic personal contact information from people search sites only. Generally, you cannot remove online content unless it violates a website's Terms of Use and/or is unlawful in some way: for example, it infringes on your copyright, it exposes your "confidential" information (social security number, credit card number, etc.), or it is spam.
Hi There, Unfortunately no. Social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, other accounts that you have created are not public information and are user created. This means that the creator has agreed to the terms of these sites in creating this data and therefore as a third party, we cannot remove that data.
Unfortunately, that type of content is not something that the DeleteMe service can remove from the web. DeleteMe removes personal contact information from people search sites only. You will need to contact the site in question directly for removal, they may request proof of expungement to remove the case listing.
Hi Brian, Thank you for inquiring about our DeleteMe service. Essentially, our service is set to remove personal information - names, age, addresses, DOB, phone numbers etc. from a large list of people search and data broker websites. These sites pull information from public record sources - renewing a license, buying property, getting married / divorced, etc. Since this information is taken from public records in the US, we are able to opt out of it from these specific sites https://joindeleteme.com/sites-we-remove-from/. Sites like this are not public information and are often user created. This means that the creator has agreed to the terms of these sites in creating this data and therefore as a third party, we cannot remove that data.
Hi There, The DeleteMe privacy service removes from a set of data brokers that are known for scraping people's information from public sources and offering up as search results, and in many cases, charging for those results. Please understand that sites noted with the single asterisk are the sites that are included in the DeleteMe Standard service as indicated at the bottom of the site list at https://joindeleteme.com/sites-we-remove-from/ While we can remove from other data brokers, these removals are done by request. We will do our very best to remove information from any site that is not part of our standard service.
Hi Cary! Unfortunately, DeleteMe cannot do anything to remove court records. DeleteMe removes personal information (like names, age, address, email, etc) from data broker and people search sites only. Check out our FAQs: https://joindeleteme.com/help/kb/can-deleteme-remove-arrest-or-court-records/
