Dear Cynthia, My Heritage has an excellent staff of technical personnel and have developed an very good program. But their customer service and their awareness of customer needs and that the customer is a user & not a programmer is severely lacking. Their recent upgraded version-8 is far inferior to their earlier version-7 and less user friendly.
I pay annually. I doubt that you can just pay for occasional months.
It's an annual membership and I pay it once per year. I have had very good results with the program, I have taken my family back to 800ad and my wife's mother's family back to the 300's. This would not have been possible without the notification of possible matches that I received from My Heritage.com through e-mail. I have made contacts with my side of the family in North Carolina and was able to trace back further with their help back to England, France, Germany and Russia. I feel it has been worth the money. I started out with the basic membership and then expanded last year to the next level.
