A: Probbably you should like to know what are additional charges - described on MyHeritage site: Help Center > Account and Subscriptions > Subscriptions Whats the difference between a FAMILY SITE SUBSCRIPTION and a DATA SUBSCRIPTION? A Family Site Subscription (Premium or PremiumPlus) entitles you to increased storage on your family site for people in the family tree, photos, videos and documents. A Data Subscription entitles you with the access to billions of historical records in all the collections in SuperSearch. You also get unlimited access to Record Matches, including confirming and rejecting matches, if you have a family tree on MyHeritage.com. In addition, you can save and extract information from historical records you find in SuperSearch or get with Record Matches directly to your family tree.

Yes there is an annual charge of about £150 for premium and that doesn't include being able to access bmd or parish record etc.
As for privacy, that is a joke, the site owners have no compunction about dipping to my private tree and passing my relative's details to other tree owners. They call it "discoveries".
Both Ancestry and FindMyPast do a better job of ensuring privacy for those that choose that option

In addition to the cost of the Premium basic cover, you would also need to pay for the vital records. From time to time MyHeritage have offers which make it very competitive to join up for the records.

What is '23and me'? I've noticed it several times whilst using My Heritage, quite often attributed to different members.

My family is bigger than 2000 People and they are all in myheritage online version. It was a big job, but the easiest way with the online version myheritage. In all other programms is the start easy, cheap or free, but if the family is getting bigger you will know what I mean.

As a basic member of MyHeritage there is no annual fee. You are however limited to 250 members in your family tree. To go to the next level there is a nominal annual fee of under $20 (the exact fee is available on the MyHeritage site), and the advantages are really great. For one the SmartMatches and record confirmation with other sites is only a click away. I am still very happy with the standatd entry level and enjoy many free functions in MyHeritage that come at a cost in some other sites.

If you are satisfied with the basic functionality of a very good family tree tool for up to 400 (?) family members, MyHeritage is free. If you want to add more than 400 people or use their research and smart matching features, you have to pay an annual fee.

There may be a Charge in General for My Heritage. But for my site there is absolutely no charge. It is Restricted access by invitation only, private website.
