Guys, it would only cost you about £40 to take them to small claims court. Dont just take the loss, these people need to be held to account. Id also contact Rip Off Britain to get a programme made about their tactics

A good tactic is to communicate with their senior directors through their LinkedIn profiles/accounts - I had a fast response once I used that route.

I complained to my credit card company about the currency difference in fraudulently charged transactions (non-ticketed) and received a refund directly from Visa

I tried going legal through the financial ombudsman. They said it was out of their jurisdiction and I should contact 'Trading Standards' They in turn said they had recently created a new department specifically to handle complaints about 'online travel agents' but for the moment, my only recourse was to take Opodo to court. Probably cost me thousands. That's why Opodo do what they do. They work on the fringes of the law knowing that individuals don't have the resources or inclination to take them on. Maybe in 5 or 10 years time they might get their wings clipped, having scammed millions or billions from people like us. Is there a lawyer out there that has been scammed? Surely a Class Action against this company has to be worth considering.

I didn't. I should have checked their t&c but was stuck in Germany after missing a flight so just went with first one I found. Like I said I will only do it once I have now learnt my lesson. Surprised they are still trading
