I'm a newcomer to Pixabay. I've spent hours browsing for background images to use for my book ads and the selection offered here is amazing. It worries me that such quality images are free to use commercially. Even though I'm not using people photos or recognizable locations, I'm still leery of using the pictures. I've read the rules completely and understand nothing is a hundred percent foolproof, but how can you offer photos of exceptional quality as public domain material? I guess I'm just a worrier.

Despite all the negativity surrounding anything free on internet, you should start getting used to genuine efforts of netizens like Pixabay.com to enrich our experience of free internet usage. This is part of a huge Open Source movement where not just code but content such as images are also shared amongst the community over internet.
