If you're a newbie, you might want to try something like RabbitTv for the basics. There's also services like Hulu or SlingTv. I'd suggest KIlltheCableBill.com for a list of safe services.

As I stated in my original review I was happy I did not download the televisionfanatic.com Instead I purchased a ROKU and signed up with HULU Plus and Netflix. I was able to cut my cable from $135 to under $20 with my elected subscriptions and there are still hundreds of FREE channels covering about any subject imaginable. I can access almost all my channels on my PC, laptop, tablet and smart phone and feel safe doing so. Just now

NO! Roku is a reputable company and I am absolutely positive they would not soil their good name by having an association with television fanatic. You want more then Netflix or Hulu and want to watch live TV subscribe to a service Roku does support it may cost a nominal fee but sure beats getting the headaches Television Fanatic produces with the items installed with the download which short of getting a new computer you will have a very hard time removing these components. I personally subscribe to Sling TV on Roku for just $20 per month I get *LIVE* NBA, NFL, College Basketball, and College Football on networks like ESPN and ESPN2. For general entertainment there is channels like TBS, TruTV,, AMC, TNT, TBS and more. Well worth the money knowing your PC and WiFi routerwill not be infected by Television Fanatic. ******Don't believe me? Read all the reviews on this site.
