Does anyone know if all their watches are genuine? I found a watch that they are selling for 1/6 of the retail price and the only reason they mention is due to lack of papers and boxes... sounds very weird, especially after reading all these reports...

These people wer entirely too persistent and high pressure so I backed off and ran for cover. Has anyone actually sent them a watch?

They charge 28% other than an online user agreement and a copy of a fedex label, there is nothing other than that to secure your ownership of the watch, too me seems abit risky and I agree, very persistent about wanting your watch typical "fast" talkers

Hi virgil, sorry about your ordeal, i have been approached by these people and they insisted on receiving my watch before even giving me any estimate and all they said send us your watch and we will have it authenticated, cleaned, serviced and photographed professionally and then appraised
And if you do not like our appraisal and decided not to sell it through our service we will ship it back to you with the accreditations for free so why are they charging you. My friend be carefull and keep your money as if it is not enough that they took your watch. Thank you very much for sharing your story and helping others like me to avoid being ripped off by such scammers thank you
Joseph

Joseph - Your experience with WatchBrokers.com sounds exactly like the first call I had with them. Very pushy and rushing to get the watch immediately. They told me the same thing. We will authenticate it, clean it, and have it appraised. If you decide you want the watch back, you will at least have a clean, authendicated, and appraised watch. This was crap! Now I have a $45 invoice from them that I must pay before I can get my watch back. DON'T MESS WITH THESE GUYS!

Glad I found this site! I inherited 3 of my grandfathers Rolex’s and was going to contact this company. So glad I did my homework first! I’ll go with the pawn shop that calls daily offering me $8,000.00 for all 3 watches.

I did some research and the man who owns ths company is named Richard "Rick" Latona. He seems to have several scam companies going. You can see some of them at www.ricklatona.com Seems like he starts a company and runs its reputation into the ground, then starts a new comapny with a similar name. Watchbrokers.com had an A- rating from the Atlanta BBB a little over a month ago when my friends sent them his watch. They auctioned it thru another company and they havent paid him a cent. Same old story. Watchbrokers.com just started up a Facebook page to rake in more business. Whenever I see an inquiry, I send the person a message letting them know its a scam... wont get my friends watch back, but at least I can help someone else from making the same mistake.

I found this website after I had dropped my watch off to their establishment. I requested to have my watch back several days later and they told me that I couldn't have it since they were in negotiations with a potential buyer... what? I was told I could have my watch back at any time. They then came back and said they sold and shipped it without my approval of the purchase price. They claim as long as it is in their possession, they can sell it without telling me. Huge rip off since they sold it very low... if indeed they really sold it or didn't receive more than they told me. Don't trust them. I had my last dealings with one of the owners by the name of Ryan Steele. Arrogant is all I can say for him... he basically said I had no rights to my own watch since they had possession... I will file complaints with all the agencies listed and will wait and see if I receive any money.
