I was friend requested on FB today and told I won a million dollars and 10,000 a month for life, but in order to get it I have to wire 399.99 for a claimers receipt. So this is a scam?

Yes it is I've been contacted by three different people all say oh you won just pay 177.00 to the carrier then come to headquarters New York. They had me living in a state I had not lived in for 30 plus yrs. They are scammers

Yes, definitely a SCAM, keep your money, been, there, done that. Search, or Google, when in doubt.

I'm afraid so. It's a scam. They act like you were selected out of millions and they are going to come to your house and drop off your prize but you have to pay a COD. They are really slick. They will ask you if you have ever been contacted before. This makes you even easier prey. Because you have no clue what to expect.

It's a scam. They will only contact you via email and never ask for money. Only where to send your prize.

The way the other comments on here are I would say that it is. From what I understand is that Womans Freebies only e mails you when you have won something. They do not contact you through facebook.
