Is there anything you can do if you have been scammed? I want to prosecute this company so this will not happen to anyone else.

Ellen, I'm afraid the only thing you can do is report it to the BBB, and any Internet scam organizations. I as well as others have been called by this company sayings we won a million dollars and other gifts, but send various amounts of money first. "SCA

First thing first, reach out to the company and try to resolve issue (although this probably won't help), the main reason for reaching out to the company is so you can take note, date, time, name of who answered, their id#, their department, their title/position etc, name of who they transferred you to etc. Once you have this information, contact the attorney general for your state, file a written and verbal report. Again keeping track of EVERYONE you make contact with, via verbal and written, again keeping track of names, Id#, department etc. Then file complaint with BBB again documenting all relevant information. Be certain to include ALL names, ALL information that you have obtained in each report filed. Use ALL forms of communication. Verbal (keeping track of ALL information), Written (hand written and make copies of everything you send via U.S. POSTAL SERVICE). Electronic Mail (e-mail). Keep All correspondence you send and receive. Make certain to follow up accordingly. Include a time frame in each report/complaint filed. This way it let's receiverb know that YOU'RE EXPECTING on hearing from them and if you don't hear from them by a certain date (that you pick), YOU WILL FOLLOW UP WITH THEM and THEN DO SO!

First notify your credit company and then report it to the business beareau. Just to let you know there is someone out there or even more than one person who is pretending that they are from woman freebies.com.
A few weeks ago someone contacted me and told me that I won $500,000, car and something else. All I had to do is go to western union and send them $199 which they will refund once I make my claim. I was also told not to have any media during that time. The best part was that they were close to where I live and they will be at my house shortly.

Basically I would report them to the better business beareau and report them to your bank fraud department. That's all you can do at this point. If they take any money from you and they walk away, oh yeah it's on then!

Keep a record of who you talk to and make sure you do a follow up call. And make sure that they know you will be calling back.

Ellen, basically no. I tried. I went as far as the DOJ in CA and they said there are two problems... 1) they don't know exactly where these people are and two which is what I found is they are not even in this country. I was able to trace them to Canada and the Power of the US cant persecute in Canada, so these people are free to continue. I did make there weekend hell though I called, and tested constantly for three full days. I did finally got them to call me again because I wouldn't stop, that is how I was able to figure out they are in Canada. When I figured it out they hung up on me PDQ. I continued to phsyco call them for two more days called her every horrid name without cursing. Anyway good luck... take it as a lesson learned and remember to never fall for it again.
