5.11 Tactical

5.11 makes great products, but you should never buy from them directly. Even when items show in stock, you can expect entire weeks to pass before your order ships. Then, you will only get a "shipped" status and never obtain tracking information. That's when you know you have a couple weeks to wait before ever getting your order. The shipping status never updates and when you call to cancel, they will tell you it can't be cancelled as it shipped (although they won't be able to tell you when or where the package is). Really terrible ordering and customer service with this site. Find the items on a retailer site and you are much better off.

I ordered 5.11 Stryker pants from a third party vendor on September 27th 2017. I was told by the third party vendor, they were reassured by 5.11 that a large shipment was on the way before the implementation of 5.11s new INVENTORY system. A month later and many calls without resolve and no pants, I call 5.11. I spoke with DAVID, a manager, who told me if I order directly on 5.11tactical.com, my order would process in approx 4-5 days. When I ask why they were unable to process the third party vendor order, a lot of back stepping started. He then admitted ordering directly with 5.11 was an estimate and it would most likely take longer. I then ask for his direct supervisor and was told no one else above him was there. Clearly, DAVID was DECEPTIVE about getting an order from them. When confronted about what sounded like a lie and the fact no supervisor above him was available, he admitted the new system was a mess and they couldnt fulfill orders anytime soon. He stated they even removed the upgrade shipping option from their website. He also stated he felt, 5.11 removed the delay notification to soon. No resolution was reached as 5.11 seems to have big PROBLEMS filling orders and its not a high priority, it seems, as no other managers where on site. 5.11 seems to be a TOTAL LOSS.

I want to give them five stars because they have stellar products, but their shipping and service is awful! I keep getting emails every 4-5 days saying they haven't shipped, yet. I can appreciate getting backed up and was trying to place another order because of a sale they have. I don't want to order the same items I already did, but the order confirmation gives very little info and when you click to see the order, nothing comes up but a blank screen that says, it's being processed. I called several times and kept getting disconnected. The first guy didn't speak English and I had to spell Heather for him three times, then repeat the order number four times. He couldn't pull the order up, then I was disconnected. I called back and got a woman who was rude. I gave her my name, and we were disconnected again. I give up! If my order was just for me, I'd cancel it, but my husband loves their pants and he looks great in them. I'll keep waiting, but I won't be ordering again. Such a shame because they really have such an awesome line. I even like their stuff for me, but their service and shipping just suck.
