Making this decision on what camera to buy and then finding the $$price has been overwhelming and not a lot of fun, until I clicked on ABES of MAINE and spoke with Ted. He was a great help, unlike other COs customer service people, I felt he understood my needs and had my best interest in what I needed.Treat someone the right way and they will use your services again, Thanks again Ted
Sell import models with the marking on the camera in Japanese. Never mention this on the website. Mention it as an after the fact when they call you to confirm the purchase. Charge 10% return fee. Would have been stuck with a useless camera and lens if i hadn't read the reviews and cancelled the order at the last minute. All their sales and promos are a bogus- they are for import models with no batteries, no warranties and all camera markings in a foreign language.

I placed an order for a Canon R8 camera which was the the same price as B&H and Adorama Camera except they were for US Sales. I received a call from Abe's to let me know that the camera did not come with a warrantee so if I wanted to get a US version with a warrantee I would need to upgrade to a kit which included a lense warrantee memory card and a few additional items. That kit almost doubled my cost. I agreed. I like everything I got. First I learned that when I tried to register the camera body with Cannon I was told that it did not have waranee and that camera was for foreign sales the same issue for the lense. That's why the kit included the warrantee! OK not happy that the sales man did not say that and sold me the foreign version. I cannot find another memory card like the one sent me which they claim retails for a ridiculous cost. I ended up buying a SanDisk brand V90,128g card on amazon at a sale price of $79. Needless to say I will not buy from Abe's of Maine and go to B&H or Adorama. They are reputable and sell you the right stuff at the same price or better but for US consumption and give you good recommendations.

The camera hood on my $2500 Sony 100 - 400 lens broke after one week of use. I have a 2-year warranty on my camera from Abes. I called the insurance company and they said Abes covers the camera lens for the first 30 days after sales. So I called Abes. Micheal at Abe's (by the way he sold me the camera lens) told me they only cover products for 14 days after the sale. Michael blamed it on Sony. He tried to give me a $77 hood after I had paid an extra $500 for the hood and base arm. Seriously? What kind of company is this? Who only covers their products for 14 days? There is something very wrong with this company. Stay away from them!
Ordered a Sony lens, then a day after I had a sales person call me and "up sale" me another package Dayi g the one I ordered didn't come with other things, so then I was forced to upgrade, later I went to read reviews and I noticed very fast that they have really bad reviews of people talking about this very thing and more, so when I was forced to "upgrade" my order he told me that shipping was going to take forever so he sold me a 2 day shipping for $49 so with that being said I was expecting my delivery 2days later on a Wednesday, so Wednesday came around and I saw no delivery yet so I called them and GUESS WHAT? Oh your package hasn't been shipped yet… SO I DEMANDED A REFUND IMMEDIATELY, she then tried telling me she would refund the shipping and overnight it to me for free ha ha ha no thanks but you can't refund my $2580.00 back now or I'll contact my bank! I got the refund finally! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND READING REVIEWS ABOUT THIS COMPANY! Go do it before you buy from here. They are a grey market operated company and also very rude! Shop elsewhere from well known companies not companies like this one for sure! YOUVE BEEN WARNED!

It took many days and many emails before it was correctly sent to the right address and then there was a minor mistake. The person kept wanting to call and talk, presumably to sell me more things but I don't have a phone so suggested using messenger on the internet but that wasn't good enough for him. Later I saw where several other places had the same camera with guarantee for about the same price. It did finally arrive about a month after I ordered it.
The products I received were great quality and at a fair price. However, they show the prices cheaper online, then once you order they call to notify you that you ordered the international version(which they do not even have in stock). So obviously I switched to the U. S. version which is the same price as all the other stores. So, overall it wasn't an unfair price, but pretty sneaky on their end.

Corrupt sales process. Will call you with shady info about your product and try to screw you over. All positive reviews are FAKE. The Fake 5 stars reviews are literally part of their business model to flush out the real negative reviews... its disgusting! Items are non-warranty international versions or knock offs. Then they will threaten to charge you and say "ok what now tough guy". Embarrassing stay away from these high pressure sales crooks!

This company has no product support and the return process is handled by a third party that appears to try to just keep shining the customer on until they give up. It's been over a month since I got my defective modem/router and still haven't been credited. Incredible ineptness shown in each transaction with this company and its partner NewEgg.

Abe's advertises Fuji cameras at a lower price than all competition, enticing you to buy from their store to save money. Once you are lured in and place your order they send you an email that you are not getting the USA made camera, but the Asian made item. Then they sent the camera in an old Fuji box that was torn both inside and out with large tears in multiple places. I sent photos of the horrid box but they have yet to send a new box and refuse to respond to my emails. If I could post photos of the box I believe no one would buy from them again.

Promo codes didn't work. There was an upscale call after the sale that contained inaccurate and misleading information that required multiple calls to customer service to iron out. The TV itself was initially disappointing and there is a no return policy so you are stuck with whatever you order. I would not buy a TV online again.
Great prices and variety of options. Wish there were more studio lighting options, as I feel it would go with the camera sales well. Also more descriptions under some of the items would be nice. Overall good experience. Was referred by a previous customer who had nothing but good things to say.
Good so far! First time buyer. Great price on this great TV. The first TV shipment resulted in a cracked screen. I contacted Abes and they were very helpful in working with the carrier to arrange pick up of the damaged TV and immediately shipping me a replacement. The replacement worked fine and is now installed. The customer service was friendly and made me feel at ease even though the first shipment was broken.

The scamming and bad business practices Occurred on 02/23/2023 when they offered items of a value of 1923.99 and never successfully got them to me and refused to give full refund or resend items even after fedex another federal company confirmed that I was wronged and approved the claim. No longer want items as customer service is pretty much non existent just want my money back. Lisa Berry who handles the claims is unresponsive, ignoring all forms of contact for almost a month ducking and dodging calls according to reps she's apparently " not in right now " 90 percent of the time but she's the only one who handles that. Odd. I honestly just feel bad, not only for me but to the others it has happened to also this is completely insane to take tax paying Americans funds with no empathy and now you have sensitive information and my money this is unacceptable and extremely embarrassing as a company and unprofessional and wrong. I have requested documentation, claim number via email and phone and still nothing, I basically had to beg them to file a claim," after repeatedly telling them the SHIPPER has to file separate claim directed by fedex I was never supposed to file as I'm not the one who shipped item, they literally don't care at all, reps keep saying someone will call no one ever calls but im hoping they return my funds or if not a agency can take legal action and assist me with the return of funds and a through investigation of the past and present behavior of this company because I'm sure with nasty inconsiderate management like this there are plenty of things they have done or hid or are doing that can be brought to Justice so no one has to go through things like this again.

I wish I had spent the time to look at the hundreds of terrible experiences that people have had over the years for Abe's of Maine and the parent company Westpark Electronics. I ordered a new Sony lens for my camera in June and they charged a premium due to it being in short supply. I was told and have it writing that they would ship insured and Adult Signature Required. Instead it was shipped with Signature Release On File and Fed Ex left a $3300 lens on a step outside. Nobody ever saw it and I called to complain. They said they would open an investigation. They jerked me around for weeks before telling me I need to file a police report so they could file a claim. I did that and then nothing from them. I filed a dispute with the bank that does the financing and they said I have to sort it out with Abes. I have filed a complaint with the State Attorney and will not give up on being refunded. Stay far away from Abe's, there are some great dealers like B&H and Adorama that take great care of their customers!

Ease of shopping is fantastic with Abes of Maine. The P900 was not what I was expecting in a bad way. Every other picture I take is blurry and we bought it to take pictures of wildlife. Very disappointed. It has become my still picture camera. Spent way too much for a camera that does not give good quality pictures of moving subjects. Also, I received the wrong battery charger for my camera battery. How do I exchange that?
