Can't give less than 1 star.
"After collecting air miles for almost 22 years (since 2000), all my points were recently "retired." As a retired senior, I can't spend enough to reach the minimum spending amount required to earn points. Despite having no activities, my entire history was wiped out. Even Air Miles' partners do not respect their agreement - I have a mortgage with a major bank and have mentioned their partnership with Air Miles, but they have not accepted my Air Miles card to give me my points. I am demanding that all my points be reinstated. They called me and offered %20 of my points back. I am rejecting their offer because:
The company has misunderstood their position. They do not own my Air Miles points, they just keep track of them, and the best comparison is to a bank. Would anyone accept a bank one day deciding to take all the money in an account because the customer did not spend it? The points I collected are from money I spent last 20 years. While I could have bought more things 15 years ago, I decided to save them for later. As anyone knows, because of inflation, the points have lost their value. They are so cheap that they could not even pass on depreciated points. The company took all my points, and then during a phone call, offered to return some of the points to my account. And if I want the rest, I have to pay $0.15 per point. It is like a robber getting access to your pocket and taking all your money and then later offering to return some of it. It is not acceptable. What I see is a broken company that has started milking its customers. This is unfortunate. If they were honest, they could have started by sending an email and taking the oldest points year by year or a percentage per year. But instead, they act like the wild west. If my English were good enough, I would take them to (at least) a small claims court. By the way, there are many others like me who have been robbed by this company. I wish for the same as in the U.S., a law office would start a class-action lawsuit. My final answer is that they must put back all my points (if not more because of wasting my time).

I redeemed some of my Air miles with airmiles.ca. I received product within reasonable amount of time. However, the product was not as described so I called airmiles.ca customer service. They gave me runaround and basically no help. After trying to get in touch with seller (manufacturer) directly, I called them again, and once again no help whatsoever. Eventually I managed to escalate the matter and get in touch with manager/supervisor, who was helpful and helped to start the return process.

But this is just not working out at all:
- it took them 4 WEEKS (can you believe that) just to send me an email with return shipping label. Seriously arilmiles.ca, 4 weeks to send an email?
- after finally receiving the email with shipping label, I promptly returned the item
- it has been 2-3 weeks since I returned the item, but my account was not yet credited
- I just received a phone call telling me they are backlogged and it will take another several weeks to credit my account

All these things are very simple, and it do not take a lot of time.
Waiting 4 weeks to receive an email, wait another 4-5 weeks to have an account credited? This is just not good enough!
Very bad experience
