“Awful place!”

Awful place! Lori Johnson and her partner Jennifer are incompetents who provide minimal care for the patients while charging very high prices. I attended Amicus house rehab for about 3 weeks. Don't waste your time with this place. The entire program' is nothing but AA meetings with no medical doctors, psychologists, or even interventionists. Housing was bunk beds jammed into tiny rooms in a dilapidated old house in one of the worst neighborhoods in San Jose. Be prepared for a lot of bizarre maneuvering on their part as they try to get your credit card number from you and take control of it. Cooking is done by the patients, and so is cleaning. There is nothing here to justify it's price tag, and when I decided I had had enough of this nonsense and decided to leave, I was given 8 dollars and I was turned loose in the streets of San Jose's ghetto (which is where the rehab is located). Just to let you know what kind of neighborhood this place is in, I was offered drugs for sale and threatened with robbery, within the space of a block from the rehab. After making my way out of the neighborhood, I spent the night on the rooftop of a closed business since they had only given me 8 dollars and I had no money for a hotel or a taxi back to Santa Cruz where I'm from. The next day I called my attorney, and he was nice enough to pick me up and drive me back to Santa Cruz. Lori Johnson and the counselors didn't give a damn what had happened to me, and never contacted me to find out how I was doing or if I was even still alive. Go anywhere but here for rehab Stay far away from this place!
