My experiences on Anilist are more negative than positive. For one, members are constantly messaging you with insults that go from petty to outright insensitive and even racist, not caring how they deliver themselves. Their staff is on the same boat as said unruly, horrible members. There is not much difference between this and the likes of MyAnimeList besides the amount of bullying one gets from time to time therefore it is suggested to avoid THIS site and stay as far away from it as you could.
Number 1 if you wanna make friends you came to the right place. The mods on the other hand is basically hitler to be blunt. Tbey force all these rules but yet they break them all Basenji is a mod and Hes racist and Homophobic. He called me a trans person said I should act more manly then you have Taluun who legit tells people to kill themselfs and stalk them like its so weird
I can't believe how mainstream anime is these days and there is yet to be a single anime site worth posting on due to power hungry janitors. Anilist is just MAL with a better coat of paint and the same cancer. Avoid at all costs.
They actually act on people people who say racist and transphobic stuff. Every time I've seen someone try and claim that mods were abusing them the mods ended up showing the logs that showed the total opposite.
Bunch of salty $#*! kids
The toxicity among users and moderators such as Taluun is extremely disgusting. Avoid this site...
Open source and feature-rich. I also think it's better than MyAnimeList. You can easily import your MAL lists.
I just felt compelled to write a review that substantiates what is written within the other review on AniList because the other poster had an experience that is SO incredibly similar to mine.
The users are toxic. The mod that I spoke to was unfairly biased towards the toxic users on the platform and solely targeted me for defending myself against others and willfully ignored the posters who came into my discussion with negativity.
I would recommend that any anime fan seeking out a community of similar people to use Twitter. The users are far less toxic than the people that are on AniList.
The community mods ruin all the fun in interactions. They deem forums "not suited to intice a discussion" thus deleting them. Its blatant censorship and does more self harm than anthying since most of their forums are empty.
