Claim Your BusinessAnthem College, Sacramento has a rating of 4 stars from 1 review, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Anthem College, Sacramento ranks 1726th among Education Other sites.
Anthem offers an online degree program similar to other online educational schools and it also has physical locations throughout the country. One is somewhat near where I live so that is a big plus for me. You can also attend their school online. They have some graduate degrees like MBA. Their school also focuses on some more trade specific types of jobs which I think is great as it seems like those types of degrees and certification may help more in landing a job after one graduates. They have medical assistant degree, massage therapy, X-ray technician, pharmacy technician, medical billing and coding, paralegal and the list goes on. I feel like because they are not trying to "sell" themselves as an alternative to traditional 4 year non-profit colleges and they offer degree programs specifically designed to get you a job in the real world, they seem much more legit to me. But they were still part of the US senate investigation. http://socialcapitalreview.org/u-s-senate-hearings-fraud-in-for-profit-education-industry/ And still was part of the "All 15 schools investigated "made deceptive or otherwise questionable statements to G. A. O.'s undercover applicants." Not that I can trust everything like that but it does give me some concern. Reading about the college on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthem_Education_Group I learned that they were also called High-Tech Institute, Anthem Career College, Anthem College, Anthem College Online, Anthem Institute, Morrison University, and The Bryman School of Arizona and that through a series of purchases are now under the Anthem education group. I also learned that "For a period in 2007-2008, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT; former name of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges) placed all schools in the High-Tech family on probation" Which does worry me as it is only 2011 and what if they slip back into probation? Would I not get a degree then if they were in probation? I would hate to spend money and have the school's accreditation get pulled out.
