I found a couple links to jobs on Applicant Tree yesterday and registered for one of them. I called the number and spent more than 20 minutes on the phone with a pushy lady who didn't give me much info about jobs but instead tried to push a bunch of crap about online grad school on me... even after I told her I wasn't sure, and wasn't interested. What a waste of time. Then today I got their "confirmation" email and when I went to click on the job for which I wanted to apply, the link was expired. I wasted my time and now another scam company has my phone number.

Applied for jobs, filled out application, never got any calls back, want only your cell phone number, they ask you to call them and when you do theyare more interested in getting you information about schools, etc. They should be removed from the job boards, who monitors these job board posting to see if they are not scams. I have been on other site also and came across scams also.
These sites need to be removed!

I have sent out numerous resumes using applicanttree.com over the last month for many positions I have felt qualified for. I have not received one message back. Also, I don't see why they want to know what your employment status is. What difference does it make whether your are currently employed or unemployed. Give me a break!

The only benefit I see is that applicant is able to complete multiple applications fast and receive confirmation of the application process which may be required by government offices rendering support (rental assistance,...). As far as securing an interview or, ultimately, a JOB, this site is useless!

All they want is you to call and once they hear you don't want (can't afford) to go to school they don't care about you and trash your application. This should be illegal.

My son and I are both job searching and came across Indeed job board which linked in some fashion to AppTree. I was unable to apply for jobs because it linked to their page which did not allow you to progress further without either accepting a "Free Trial" or a purchase of their job search app.

My son and I both used my cell phone number, which threw them for a loop. My son called last week and told me it was a scam. In attempting to search for jobs myself this week, I kept getting linked to their site during my searches. I was sent to a page repeatedly that told me to call *******897 to finalize my applicatioin process. When I did, their system kept pulling up my son's info. I had to use an alternate phone number to create an account in my name. Let me say that I did not realize until they texted the alternate number that it was the same company, and that is how they were accessing my information.

They text and ask you to call *******555 to inquire about a job you applied for. When I did, even though I went through a couple hours of aggravation yesterday trying to set up a separate account, thinking they were legit, they could not access my information. I explained the situation to them, and told them I was responding to a text for a job for myself, but he got very flustered and could not access my information.

I had done some research online before calling, and most links were complaints against this company for fraud, apparently they use the job postings as a come-on to try to glean information from you and to try to push you into some type of college program.

Personally, I am offended that they use job boards to waste my valuable time. I don't know if Indeed is a legitimate site it appears to be, but if so, I feel they should be offended as well, because this company is discrediting them.
