I had a very bad experience with this moving company. I hired this company to move a sofa bed, they quoted me $200 at first, and then because it unfortunately had to be dumped at the Auckland Council landfill (I tried every opshop in the area to get it resold), the manager rang me back and said it would be$150 more. I took this on faith believing that the quote was honest. He talked to me at least 4 times on the phone, quoting $400. At no time did he mention that the quote was GST exclusive. When it came time to pay, the guys who actually came and moved the item, wanted to charge me GST as well. I protested that $400 was the cost quoted and they pointed out that it was GST exclusive. I was convinced that the guy had quoted me $400, but looking back in the email, the guys were correct. It did say that the quote was GST exclusive. To me, this is not an honest way of doing business. To say one price (several times) and then pull out the fine print and charge me $60 extra. I now wish I hadn't trust this Amman person and had rung the council to see what the true price of the landfill charge was. Ripped off both ways, I guess. Lousy way of doing business in my opinion

Only use these guys if you want to feel ripped off, because they probably will rip you off.
