It was NOT clear this company only issues store credit for returns until after I placed an order and had a product problem. I'm a first time customer turned never again customer. I wouldn't Recommend buying from here. Tha dresses are pretty but if you have a problem you will not get help with i. Dye May bled on dress. Fabric isn't always great quality and for what you spend that's not okay.

First time and last time purchasing from this company. Bought two maxi dresses and are way too long and would fit a woman six foot tall. Tried to start the return and message states not returnable. I am within the 35 day return timeframe and the dresses have not been worn and tags still on. Beautiful dresses but very dissatisfied with the company.

Buyer beware - I had an atrocious interaction with Baltic Born due to their deceptive and non-industry-standard return policies combined with inflexible customer service. I misunderstood their "free returns" policy to mean that I could get a refund if the dresses didn't fit just like many other online clothing retailers. That's not the case and they only offer store credit. But what's worse: one of the dresses I ordered arrived with makeup stains and smelling of perfume; it had clearly been worn before. And even for that damaged dress they would not refund my money. I had multiple interactions with their customer support but they offered no empathy or understanding. They have destroyed any trust I have in their products and I will never buy from them again.

Read the fine print. Better yet, spend your money elsewhere. Wife needed a dress for a wedding. Didn't fit. Returned it and got back in store credit that we don't need as we had to buy locally due to time constraints. Explained this to them and they didn't care. I've seen good reviews for them, but I doubt many are legit and probably NONE involved a return.

Buyer beware! Sadly, this company pulls a sneaky bait and switch on customers. They have a no refund policy which I wasn't aware of when I placed a dress order. Dress came and didn't work. Went with another dress I ordered from Free People online. Sent it back immediately and was told that I only receive a store credit and they refuse to give refunds regardless if the dress hadn't been worn and still has tags. Very disappointed in their customer service and certainly will never buy from them again.

Decent clothing at a reasonable cost but customer service is non existent

Wanted to exchange a recent purchase as the organization only offers store credit and this is a time consuming process… return item… issue store credit… purchase replacement… so if u are hoping to have an item for a special occasion or perhaps want to try several sizes… plan according

The return portal failed to identify my order after several attempts using different browsers even different devices and when all attempts failed i email only to receive a reply directing me to the return portal…

Clearly no one is reading my plea for assistance…

Several more emails over several days and still nothing from them exceeded the 48 to 72 hour reply window they promised

Why not provided the policy with instructions and address on your website and allow your customers to return the items promptly?

Never like dealing w a company who will happily collect my money and than expect me to troubleshoot the tech issues with their return portal… waste my time with bot replies and ignore me

Now i'm stuck w a store credit when they decide to share the super secret return process with me but this will be my last purchase from baltic born

They will not offer returns! In 2023 it's astounding to imagine an internet based "boutique" that will not return items! I initiated a return, received my return label, and not once was warned that I wouldn't be receiving my money back- but a "store credit". At a reduced price nonetheless, after deducting shipping from my refund. This feels criminal, or should be. Especially considering my returns were immediate, well within the usual and customary 30 day window, and every item had their tags on them. I can't believe a company would be so blatantly greedy, while masquerading their "girl power" "sister-owned" vibe. I don't know a single woman who can buy online with conviction and not need a return here and there. This "business" is more about scamming women than supporting them.

Avoid at all costs.

I purchased 3-dressed from Baltic Born. I wore one to my daughter's rehearsal dinner. The next day, I followed the washing instructions - cold water - hang dry. The material shrunk a lot but the lining (slip) did not - making the dress impossible to wear. I sent a picture and wrote to the company. The first response I received was rude/unprofessional. They said sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we don't return worn clothing. Try cutting the slip. That is exactly what was said. The slip would fray if I cut it and look ridiculous - so no.

I wrote back and told them that the product was faulty. Most businesses take care of faulty products - things happen. It is all part of owning a business. They didn't even politely apologize or offer a discount. They replied that I should have read the return policy before purchasing, but they would give me some bonus points - seriously? No, no matter how you look at it Baltic Born does not value their customers, is greedy, and is unprofessional. Any company that won't take care of a faulty product is unethical to me - greedy. It is not like I wore the dress and asked for a refund. The product was faulty.

The other two dresses are low quality. The proportions are way off. I ordered a small - the top is huge. I will have to have it altered. The velvet dress has super tight sleeves. All in all the company is unprofessional, greedy, lack basic manners, and has lost my business.

The quality of the dress I order seemed as if it was a 2nd grade class sewing project. Actually they could have done a better job.

Then salt on the wound…. No refund. I am forced to continue to purchase shotty merchandise or throw my money away.

Social media has been my a plus for me. I am telling everyone that my platforms reach to not shop your website. Unless they expect poor quality.

I reached out to customer service to only get what appeared to be auto generated. (Hence my turn to social media).

Believe me, I will use the credit. I am not giving my money to you for nothing. But if I have to pay a price, we'll then I have the right to inform on my experience.

Don't waste your time or money with Baltic Born. Horrible quality and no refunds. You get to use a store credit to use on other horrible quality items. I was a first time buyer with them. Customer Service - LACKING! No help. No desire to help.

DO NOT ORDER from Baltic Born,
You will get stuck with items that do not fit because their return policy is everything besides customer friendly. Sad when businesses don't want to provide hones business based on their quality products but rather sell you something and you'll be unable to return

This is the 6th item that I purchased in a row and want to return, but was required to use store credit again because Baltic Born doesn't give refunds. I would absolutely return it because I cannot wear it. I will never spend anymore money with shipping a store credit item at this store because nothing that has come is decent, and the collective shipping of store credit replacement items has cost more than one item from Baltic.

This sweater arrived with a RANCID SMELL such as in a humid climate that creates mildew. I paid more money to get it professionally cleaned and the smell is still there. This company and I are both in a dry climate, so this is obviously not the reason. Also, this item has NO SEAMS ON THE EDGES and UNEVEN CUTS on these edges. The "oatmeal" color is a yellow brown and NOT AS SHOWN in the picture. Poorly made and handled.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS AND DO NOT ALLOW ANY REFUNDS REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCE. SUPER CHEAP QUALITY AND HIGH PRICED. Ordered a dress which wasn't cheap. It's paper thin and awful quality. I contacted them immediately within receiving to return and was not aware that they don't allow refunds, only store credit. Which I don't wish to use because their clothes literally look like they come from the dollar store. Had to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge.

DO NOT ORDER from this company - even when the issue is with their clothing / sizing / measurements, they will ONLY offer you store credit, minus your shipping, an endless cycle that ends with you accepting the loss of money, or keeping inferior or ill fitting clothing under the BS guise of "Thats just our policy". Their size charts are vastly incorrect, either they have no quality control, or don't know how to measure.

Awful, terrible customer service, unwillingness to help, inconsistent sizing, and incorrect size charts - that are made to be the customers problem, even though BB's fault.

Just went through a nightmare after purchasing bridesmaids dresses from Baltic Born. I have 7 bridesmaids who all live in very different parts of Canada and each of them paid separate shipping and international fees for their dresses, which added around $50 to their orders each. My one bridesmaid received her dress with a large brown burn mark and a tear in the ruching. Thankfully, Baltic Born gave a full refund for this dress, however, the dresses are out of stock now, so we are now short by one dress. We can only receive store credit for the other dresses, which is understandable and what I expected, BUT Baltic Born was unwilling to take on the cost of the international shipping/duties involved in returning the dresses and sending different ones (which would add an additional $100+ to each order). We were expecting 7 functional dresses, and only received 6, so it does not seem fair to me that we as customers are shouldering the cost of their error.

The dresses that did not have the burn mark were very poorly made and did not match the photo, but that is a separate issue.

To make things worse, when we managed to arrange a phone call with them, we get mysteriously 'disconnected.' There is no number listed anywhere we can call, so instead we had to wait for them to call us. If we tried calling them back at the number that reached out to us, it says that number is not in service.

In the end, we decided that it would be better to not go through that return process and just go find a bridesmaid dress elsewhere that is less than $100 rather than wasting anymore money and time with this highly unprofessional company.

Baltic Born is unopen to correcting their mistakes. We now have 6 ugly dresses, that we paid $150 each for, that we cannot even use for the wedding since they damaged the 7th needed dress.

USPS never received the item I ordered from them, Baltic born refused to help saying I didn't purchase a warranty and its a lost package. I don't know about you, but if USPS never even got the package it sounds like Baltic born is at fault. Also I did try to purchase the shipping warranty but somehow it didn't go through. Tried a second order to see what happens and made sure the shipping warranty was checked and now they tell me I did not purchase the shipping warranty on that order as well, so I cancelled the order. Not going to ever order from them again. They took my money and never even shipped me my dress.

Any company who sells online merchandise but does not allow the customer the option of returning it for a refund of the price (less shipping) if it doesn't fit or work for whatever reason should not be an online merchant. It is not realistic to expect A- that every item ordered will fit or work for every customer and B-that every customer will find an alternative item to buy.again without the option to try on and return. (I was given an in-store credit when I sent my dresses back. I live in South Dakota!) If you have customers who are returning items in poor condition then punish those customers. Don't penalize all of the good customers who treat your clothing with respect while trying them on and returning them just because of the few (or many!) who are disrespectful. I will NEVER order from this company again. Makes me sad because I would have been a great customer.

EDIT 8/22/23: They had a very diff. Response on Google to the same review:

"Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to leave this review. We have our shipping and return policy pages in full on our website, and we include small summaries with links to the full policy on every product page! We want our policies to be as transparent as possible, because our goal is never to catch anyone off guard, but rather help our customers find beautiful new clothing that they'll love! We apologize for any inconvenience that occurred as a result of our official store policies. "

None of their information shows that I CHOSE to "opt-out" of any shipping warranty. If I had this "shipping warranty" on EVERY other order (without my knowledge), WHY would I choose to take it off the 18th order?

As I have stated, I have NEVER been aware of this, nor do they make you aware. I pay for shipping and that's all I'm aware of. I have sent a screenshot that shows directly on instagram when you buy or on your phone from baltic born- THERE IS NO SUCH THING as a shipping warranty. Purchasing from your phone on the Baltic Born website still will show as "Online Store" because that is where I purchased it from! NOT Instagram. You clearly have glitches.

I have contacted you about SO many glitches. All of these accounts are available via the chat and email. For instance:

1. July 28th they had the wrong sizing attached to the dress I bought from this order- I made them aware and they updated it on the website. (They didn't even have the sizing chart available for the sizes they were selling) ANOTHER INACCURATE WEBSITE ISSUE

2. July 11th an order was missing from my account so I got none of my points.-ANOTHER ORDER PROCESSING ISSUE

3. May 25th they didn't have the sizing available on the website for the Sabina dress- again incorrect website issues.-ANOTHER INACCURATE WEBSITE ISSUE

4. There reward system was down for weeks in April so you could not place orders with your points- ANOTHER WEBSITE ISSUE

5. I also contacted them because I did not receive my reward points after an order.-ALWAYS HAVING ISSUES

6. I also contacted them because ANY negative review I posted for my orders (about fit, quality, etc)- they did NOT post. Only the positive ones. They said they would "look into it"-ANOTHER COVERUP

7. I contacted them after I never received my store credit for over $200- they said someone forgot to check it in at the warehouse!- ANOTHER MISTAKE

They also stated they would proceed with a solution when I emailed them that it was lost. Baltic Born could just simply not ship any package for whoever doesn't see this mysterious shipping warranty! They would make money & screw over customers-given all the above, I'm not surprised if that is happening.

It is clear in the reviews that others have had the exact same experience as I have. Baltic Born has "hidden policies" which allows them to steal money from customers no matter if the customer receives anything in return. These policies do not show up when you order from your phone- as I proved via screenshot to the company. They state you either "opt in or opt out" of said shipping warrant- but in all my 18 orders I have never done such thing. Now when my order doesn't arrive after 3 weeks- they state they will find a solution-but then they make up some nonsense that I didn't "opt in" to their shipping warranty- so no solution is available to me, EVEN though the same dress is in stock, they could refund my store credit, etc. That is blatant fraud that they continue to get away with. Stay away!

Tip for consumers:
They are liars, fraudulent and scammers. Tell customers in reviews they can use discount codes they were given and NO customer was ever given a discount code. Also- filter out and post only positive product reviews

None- item never came and Baltic born yet again pocketed ALL the shipping money, tax and money I paid for the product.
