Best Technicians

Scam company, avoid. It also appears on Google as Plumbing and Heating - Best Technicians. Sent a guy out called Frank who didn't know what he was doing. Forced us to pay £350 promising to come back and finish the work following day. No breakdown of costs. Then stopped replying and never turned up again. Terrible company terrible people.

Tenants called these guys to change a flexible hose to the cistern. They quoted £140. When I heard I told them cancel it. The cancellation charge was £50. Cynical profiteering.

They just contact a local plumber. I was charged £50 call out, £295 (which was apparently their hourly rate!) plus VAT. The plumber was here for 6 minutes, he turned 2 switches then pressed a third switch. I asked him if he could do it again and I could video it in case it happened again. The video took 28 seconds from start to finish! I have attached the video plus the invoice and, most importantly, the 'job report'. If I wasn't so angry, I'd laugh! There is no address or VAT number on the invoice. I actually cried when he asked me for £414! DO NOT USE!

Do not use this company. They do not give you the correct fee for services. I was given a fee for someone to look at a faucet. I told the technician on the phone before he came that the faucet was very old. When he came to my home he briefly looked at the faucet and told me to buy a new one. Then I was charged an extra fee. When I spoke to the owner of this business he said I was told about the extra fee. This was a lie, I was not told. If you want dishonesty, this is the company for you.

Massive overbilling. Charged £250 for 15 min to pull out a plus and reset trip. Did not replace burned out socket. Not sure if they are a legitimate limited company. Reporting to Trading Standards

I had a great experience with Best Technicians. I had an emergency electrical issue and the electrician came right away and fixed the problem. I recommend the service!

These guys just set up google ads all over the U. K. and call a plumber/electrician from the yellow pages that will rip you off.

Avoid this and report them to your local police if you have dealings with them.

If I read this feed back of the company I would have NEVER go there.
My neighbour burglar alarm was going off so I try to help her.so I call this useless company to switch the alarm off. The company says the will charge £50 for call out and the engineer will charge for the work. Ok agreed. The guy turn up I told him just switch the alarm off. Don't need any other work. As the alarm was very loud. He decide to take the alarm off. He couldn't from the main box so he had to do it from the alarm box. Got him a ladder ( 5 steps) he could open the box so I say he can break it. So he broke the box and pulled out the fuse box in there. Then he came and say for that 5 min job £180. And + the call out £50. I was shock I told him that too much. He says the company charge the rates. So I told the lady and she was shocked, crying as she has to pay out £230.from her pension. I called the company report what happen. Useless call agent ask to speak to some one to resolve this issue. She says they will call me. No call as yet. Nearly 14 days gone still waiting for a recipe of the work done. 1 week later the send me a receipt. Saying call out charge 50
And labour £180. Labour what labour did you do. What did he do to charge 180 waiting for a break down why he charge £180. What a sad engineer ripping off an old lady. If any one has any company we can call to report this and to get them shut down please mail me. The disgusting engineer is from Croydon/Mitcham area.

Do not use this company. They will charge you alot more than they told you on the phone. Sooooo expensive. The job should have cost £80 max and they charged £250. The company is based in London so only local to there. Be warned

We called for a plumber, he came fast and did a good job and prices was resonable for an emergency service we had

I was charged over £400 for having a plastic pipe fixed.
The reason why I'm complaining is the lady who answered my call. I triple check the charges with her and she assured me it was a callout fee of £50 plus the labour costs of the plumber.
This was not true and other fees like handling charges were made on top of that. The lady who booked me in should have definitely told me about those additional costs! She also didn't tell me that it was an emergency service!
If she had done that I wouldn't have booked with them in the first place!
Moreover I never received an official invoice in the first place.

They don't tell a customer what are the minimum charges for the technician trip, they use "smoke and mirrors"approach that is bad for customers and also, sub contractors working for them

The worst expérience. 1month and still waiting for thé invoice of the payment we made via bizum. They centre.hang the téléphone on us. Super rude

So upset with them! They were called to undertake work at my mothers house (who is 78 with stage 4 cancer). The told her she needed a rewire the whole flat to the tune of £12,000. She said to do half the job the next day as she did not have the total money immediately available so paid £6,100.

The contractors left so many holes in the walls, ceiling and kitchen cabinets, They also made holes in the flooring (which was less than a year old), as they did not cover the floor and left all the 'old' plug sockets in the wall.

As a result, we got two other independent electricians in who both said the work was extremely shoddy and overpriced. They will both be writing reports.

When I contacted best technicians, they do not reply to my emails and will not provide a safety certification of the work done or the details of the contractor who they contracted to do the work for us to contact to arbitrate money back. I have also called numerous times, I just get a lady who takes my contact details down)about 10 times) but nobody has ever got back to me. This has been going on for over a month.

I have been in contact with the Citizens Advice Bureau and Trading Standards as a result. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. IF ANYTHING GOES WORNG THERE IS NO ACCOUNTABILITY AS THEY SUB CONTRACT OUT THE WORK AND THEY WILL LITERALLY JUST IGNORE YOU!

Please take heed of the numerous warnings on this review site. I have never written a review before for contracted work. I really want to save other people going though this awful situation and having to deal with a company who just doesn't respond.

DO NOT EMPLOY. FAILED TO GIVE QUOTE BEFORE STARTING WORK MASSIVELY OVERPRICED WORK REFUSED TO GIVE COMPANY ADDRESS.
